I think the title was written in Chinese because that's the name of a flower that blooms under the moon and I don't know if it was translatable into Korean, the flower is called Queen of the Night if I'm not mistaken
Thank you for the reaction!! ONEUS has a very long storyline leading up to this, and funny enough it started with LIT. The basic gist is that the group members are kings who become cursed and they fight with different aspects of that curse throughout the storyline. "LIT" is takes place before the curse, while now "LUNA", could be seen as them reflecting on the love they lost in the past after being cursed for centuries. The bittersweet nostalgia of the song is an embodiment of how the kings feel at this point in the timeline. Some other comments have made really good song suggestions, but I really encourage you to listen to ONEUS more!!! They will not disappoint you.
Thanks for this Oneus reaction. I enjoyed it but just an info about the whole chinese thing. The whole mv isnt a chinese style nor tradition. A lot of people actually assumed immediately that its a japanese or chinese style etc because they are more familiar with Japan and China and doesnt know Korean traditional culture that much. In this mv. It actually portrays their own South Korean Traditional clothes and style. Thats why the instruments are Koreans own traditional music. Even their clothes. They are wearing "Hanbok" meaning a traditional Korean clothes back in Joseon Dynasty(past). Also in 4:12 if you pay attention to the way Hwanwoong delivered his line its actually how korean people used to talk during Joseon dynasty and its really dope to hear it. They actually have a similar concept back then. Its actually one of their first debut song. Its called "Lit". Its totally fantastic and there you can totally see more of their Traditional style and culture. I actually never thought that they will have a comeback with this dope concept again so!!
Yess there is a story line, if you want to know more about it I highly recommend the Come Back Home concept film and also the mv is very cool I highly recommend it Oneus are variety kings, so the comebacks usually are very different If I'm not mistaken you also haven't watched: -Valkyrie -Twilight -A Song Written Easily -Black Mirror -Lit I love your reactions a lot I'm so happy that you reacted to my favourite group
In 7:19 the vocals in the background is actually called Pansori(판소리)which is a Korean genre of musical storytelling performed by a singer and a drum. That part is actually my fave 😍but the whole song is my fave and I reeeaaalllyyyy love it and them! 😍😍
As far as I've seen, nobody does traditional best in mainstream kpop. Stan oneus, my opinion as a monbebe 🥰🥰🥰 they're a class act. Even the lyrics are like how the people used to speak back in that time.
While the lyrics Efra read aren't so far off I would like to leave here two lines that weren't given justice in that translation: one is "wandering around to find you (not the specific person but someone special to have basically), the flower that I didn't notice was the most beautiful one, and that was you (in this case the actual specific person this story is about)" and "blow, wind and please tell my lover the words I failed to deliver". And just actually most of Ravn's lines were a bit unorganised in that one translation, but hey it happens when the song is mostly symbolic writing. Little fun fact: this song was specifically written to not have a single English word in it since they are paying homage to their Korean traditional music and setting.
Please check on their past Title Tracks! They are known as Kings of Concept because of their different concepts! In chronological order: -Valkyrie - debut song -Twilight -1st Comeback -Lit - 1st Kor Traditional Concept of them (one of my fave) -A Song Written Easily - summery, breezy, western vibe concept -To Be Or Not To Be - Greek/dark inspired concept -No Diggity - dark/quirky/powerful concept Bussyeo - 1st Digital Release - bright, colorful, cute concept -Black Mirror - lively, energetic, Michael Jackson vibe concept Ang the latest is Luna, the one you reacted to. Please check on them, you won’t be disappointed!
thank you for reacting to the MV, Oneus has a lot of talent and deserves to be more publicized and thus its recognition..... as a fan thank you very much
Please listen to more ONEUS' songs, these are the title tracks (& singles) that you guys haven't seen yet: VALKYRIE, TWILIGHT, LIT, A SONG WRITTEN EASILY, COME BACK HOME, BBUSSYEO & BLACK MIRROR. Yes, I know it's a lot & overwhelming but, you won't regret it. 😍😍
I love the mix between traditional and modern music. I think after Lay (EXO), Oneus are the second best doing it, I hope they keep creating songs and mvs related!!
Ravi has a song called Bom that is a strong mix of traditional and modern music with more rap. Hwanwoong did one of his dance challenges. VIXX also had a comeback with a mix of traditional music called Shangri-la which included dancing with fans. Oneus makes me think of VIXX sometimes.
@@jessn.3851 yeah you're right!! Ok now my long opinion if you wanna read it. I classify Beom in a third level of traditional-modern fusion; it has the asthetic, some music and some lyrics, and the fusion feels kinda separated (Agust D Deachwita is here too). VIXX Shangri-la belongs to the second level, with every element covered, but is the concept of only one song of the group (although I haven't watched a lot of their mvs so I could be wrong!). Oneus is in the first level, because besides having all the elements, it's already a reiterated concept for them, even doing all those related Oneus theatre videos. Lay is in the first level too, but above Oneus (until now 👀), because the fusion is his whole concept as a solo artist for this past years, and he's developing it in deeper layers. OFC this is only my personal opinion!! And I reaaaaally like all this songs and works, in any level they may be lol I'm gonna check out more of VIXX, specially if Oneus remind you them!!
Thank you for reacting to Oneus! I was waiting for this. They're the boy group that I'm most excited with nowadays, and as expected this comeback Luna served top tier visuals and artistry. I actually laughed a little when Waleska was gob-smacked at first sight of long-haired Xion..lol. I know the feeling! It was like I walked into the wall \(>.
I read it in a comment under the official mv The mv is a story about a young boy nd Flower goddess they were lovers Can't remember the full thing but due to sm other god they fell apart nd the boy was sent to be monk nd the flower goddess was only able to bloom once so she chose late spring in the hope that the boy will come to mountain in search of flower for tea but the boy couldn't recognise her cus he forget her (English isn't my first language so 😅) anyways its bout yearning for love
I am so glad you noticed the background korean vocals... hopefuly you will look into more oneus content, they deliver no matter the style or concept they chose to try, and their storyline is pretty epic even tho I hav yet to understand it properly LOL
Love ur reaction i like most of the same parts as u guys lol. The MV is and song is like a whole theatre performance. Its so good. Oneus are trully a special group. I wish more ppl would see that too.

Must be hard to remember Oneus since their always new kpop mv or new group easily forget. You guys did reacted their No Diggity and To be or not to be mv.
you guys reacted to Lit? But I don't see it lol, i think you mean To be or Not to be because you said romeo and juliet but i hope you guys react to Lit tho 😅
no china. no china! ancestors of korean made even that chinese letter!(and old japanese letter too.) we were stronger and bigger than china in ancient time! people all over the world don't know why korean culture is good. korea is very, very old country(have longgest dynasty 1000 years, 500 years...etc. and have long history at least more than 5000 years, also older than china) and almost always was luxurious than china or japan in history. those two country have copied korean culture(china copied korean fashion). record remained. So that is why china and japan continue historical distortion(all of the korea is mine). And, Koreans hate china and japan. If k-artist use china or japan thing, maybe they can't sell their music to korean because most koreans don't want such of things.
I was reading the comments while watching this, and immediately stopped as soon as I saw the “Chinese” comments. Jfc. I usually love this duo’s reactions, but SUPER disappointed at their generalization.
they corrected themselves at the end so you’re really just a clown. it’s not their fault for not knowing traditional elements of cultures that aren’t theirs
@@nooblette and?? the majority of kpop groups don’t do traditional music like this so your comment still doesn’t make much sense. you’re just judging them for not knowing traditional korean culture. plus, part of the title is in Chinese so they could’ve gotten confused bc of that
