@@GoViaorgohome The standard I use is just basic prototype specs. The pole is "5/32" tube, the length is HO Scale 50 feet, or seven inches whatever you prefer (7"). The cross beams are HO Scale 12-14" long, or (2"). I just winged the rest from photos. It is the ratio that matters more than exact measurements. Cheers.
You are 100 percent right about how much of a difference they make. I kept looking at your scene and trying to determine what made it really stand out, and power poles was one of the things I immediately noticed. I'm currently working on adding some to my layout.
I think that utility poles are underrated as well. They add so much to a model railroad or a diorama especially when they have wires and lights. I hope you add lights to a couple of them and wires too. Maybe a light at the yard office and one at the grain elevator? Glad I found your channel and I'm just amazed still at how much detail and artistry you have added to this project. Stay well. -Wil 👍
I am building utility poles on my Ho scale layout as well . I also put in railroad telegraph/telephone line poles as well to add a more genuine feeling to my layout 👍 . Excellent job 🤩 !!!
Hey Kraig - that's a hint, buddy! The Master wants to see your stuff! And so do the rest of us... And it's been three months. I couldn't find a channel under your name, so don't keep us in suspense! Yes, I'm giving you a friendly tease, but also a friendly challenge. YouTubing is not that hard, and doesn't have to be expensive. So show us what you've done with the great lessons Boomer has been providing! And they ARE GREAT!!! I promise to watch, and only say nice things... for the first 6... minutes. Just kidding! Go for it friend, all these channels started out small. Double Chocolate-Chip-Cookie dare you!!!
The utility poles look great. Are you planning to add wires to the poles or leave them off? Either way it is an excellent detail that you have modeled that most people don't. -Tom
Hi I am building a 1930's 40's dio and making some utility poles. Can you tell me or provide a link as to where you got your pole steps. They add such authenticty to the pole. Blessings Pastor Randy Bourque
The utility poles may very well be the stars of the show.
Yeah. Thank You, but they cost me a kidney stone . . . Lol.
Those look great.
Thank You.
Really enjoying these videos.
Thank You Sam. I really appreciate that. Cheers.
Looks really good. Crazy good scratch build.
Thank You. They were fun to build once I got the build momentum going.
@@boomerdiorama did you use a jig or template as a standard for all of them?

Those look very well done!
Than You! I appreciate the compliment.
Insane detail in those poles. You should get them mass produced, your design is amazing !
Thank You. Maybe one can scan them and then 3D print.
High line poles look great, looking forward to the next video
Thank You.
Well done!!!!
Thanks. They look cool white. Maybe I won`t paint them . . . Lol.

Thank You. I will add the wires and cable once the background is finished to my liking.

I scratched everything out of Evergreen plastics. I cover it all in the Utility pole series. Cheers.
