Digging up a burst hot water pipe in Linköping, Sweden

- En stor varmvattenläcka uppstod morgonen den 4 maj i centrala Linköping med ett stort ångmoln och trafikkaos som följd. I den här videon kan du se arbetet med att hitta läckan och hur de rensar upp vattenmassorna och smutsen vattnet förde med sig med bland annat en Volvo EW140C och några lastbilar.
A big hot water pipe bursted on the morning may 4 in central Linköping, Sweden, and caused a huge steam cloud and a huge amount of water ran out on the streets. In this video you can see how they worked to find the leak and how they cleaned up the streets from water and dirt.

tror jag väljer helt rätt inriktning om jag väljer anläggning. det är inte så lätt som det ser ut . tar en stund att bli sådär skicklig . 5 månader innan man får välja hoppas att det blir mitt första val annars blir det betongera eller snickare

@epj900 the hot water is used to heat up buildings and give them hot water, almost every building in the city has it and it comes from two powerplants where they burn trash and trees to heat up the water =)

@volvo418 ja de var tvungna att få dit en pump för att få bort vattnet då han inte kunde se o sen var han orolig för att det låg en telekabel nånstans där också =)

It is a marker so they see if there is a leak anywhere, this time it was rather easy because it was a huge leak.

Underground he can't get close enough to show the pipe that's why all the steam was in the air
The steam wasn't there because he couldn't see the pipe never mind that comment
they've always told me not to eat the yellow snow... So i'm not gonna drink the yellow water... because you said "to give them hot water".
Anyway, that's like in Russia, this system. And it's not so ecological... At least, that's what they've told us...

Ok, ......Volvo wins for the coolest piece of construction equipment ever made. , ...and dude is a surgeon with that thing. Why is the water alien green color? It's like a dream - > all the steam floating around this slime green cryonic liquid spilled all over the place. Total comic book waste land scene...lol.
this is the district heating water.. the reason why it's green is becouse it's much easier to see the difference between drinking water and heated water which purpose is to heat up buildings :)

It does indeed! It's centrally heated instead, mainly for apartment buildings and everything in the city center.
