that could be carbon fibre too it's just that doesn't have the typical aesthetic wave pattern of the carbon fibre. It remember me of the carp fishing pole package or a lot of rods are like that too with rings instead of waves and are made of carbon fibre. And you have cheap or expensive carbon fibre
@@aaronungs4953 aye still got it. I have reverted to a higher angle paddle for no other reason than it's longer and I feel it moves me faster through the water. But I still have the Wonitago.
Question is Karl, which one do you like best? Wonitago or WinnerWell? I need a new paddle so I'd be keen to hear which you'd buy if you could only have one.
Good question Graham! Having used the Wontitago on a longer paddle since recording this (video uploading later today) it performed great and I've got no issues with it, nevertheless here are my additional thoughts - I feel the Winnerwell is a faster paddle - it has a bigger blade and 'scoop' so it catches more water. I could be wrong on this but it felt as the the Wonitago paddle gave a little on the draw with the blade being thinner, and if that's the case you lose a little pull in the water. The Wonitago is lighter and consequently feels easier to use. The Winnerwell with it's 2 piece construction (compared the the 3 piece Wonitago) feels more durable and has less pieces to 'fail'. It's tricky because you want light weight on a longer trip however if it's slower paddling that could be an minor issue, albeit a minor one. As I write this, bear in mind I'm much more familiar with the Winnerwell and it might be that bias that makes me say - I'd go for the Winnerwell. However I'm also aware the Winnerwell's are hard to get hold of.
@@MoreThanJustaCleaner Perfect, thanks Karl. I have to be honest I was more drawn to the Winnerwell after watching your review so I'll see if I can get one. Any chance of a link?
Hi Karl, I'm in the market for a new paddle, I have one of those 2 piece itiwit ones that everyone has. Any suggestions, would you still recommend either on these in the video or have you moved on since these. I'm looking for 240mm ISH, light and as cheap as possible.
Yeah sure, it's one of these - amzn.to/3bldCEY In all honesty though it has flaws in that the leg straps came off. I actually prefer this one - amzn.to/3bkjC0J
Absolutely! A CF paddle generally costs £150+ I guess with it being Chinese they could argue translation issues. Nevertheless as I say, for a very light paddle it's damn good. I've often said that for the weight diff between CF and FG I doubt I would pay so much for what is a nominal weight difference. It's not like comparing a Dutch Army Sleeping bag with a high end RAB 😀

Honest, and brutal review that the manufacturers hide from. You just saved me $70. Thank you.

Good to see you out in 'my' kayak. Looks clean haha.
Haha plus I installed a new handle :p

I think you might be right! I've since bought a different 'carbon paddle' from a high end paddle maker and it's the same!
Looks good mate. We must arrange a paddle in the next few weeks, somehow!
That would be cool :)
That was interesting I am looking for a lighter paddle
This is what Lee had at the Community Caddle & Pamp :) It's a good buy!
Do you have any idea about Abahub CF kayak paddles?
They're basically the same. I've them sold with the Wonitago logo on the blade 😊
Hi Karl it's been 2 years now. Do you still have this paddle? Any new opinions? Still think it's worth it?

Yeah it's worth the dosh :) I'm glad you showed it me 👍😀

How can they list is as carbon fibre if it isn't? I guess for that price it really couldn't be genuine!

I read that as Wont It Go, which from a marketing perspective is a terrible name.
