For those interested, the "communicator" Toy Bro referred to is actually called "The Locket of Lies" from the episode of the same name. It is not a genuine piece of the Treasure of Thundera. It was created by Mumm-Ra and acted as a compass of sorts that ultimately led the team into a trap. Oh, and the fire effect piece makes me specifically think of the final episode "Book of Omens" when Lynx-O and Cheetara are trapped in an ice-cave in - Cheetara uses her staff to produce fire in hopes of melting the ice-wall. Then again, there are likely other times that she produced flames from her weapon but thats all that is springing to mind. Thats enough nerding out for me at the moment, thanks for the review!! :-)
Wow...never thought id see the day of seeing a Cheetara figure...its only been a 2yr wait! Im still baffled why they couldnt easily make Snarf with Lion-o.
I actually love the windy hair head as it is. It reminds me of the iconic opening intro scene. Frankly, the snarling heads are good on some of the characters, but not all. I found it really out of place on Lynx-O.
Super7 are smashin it with these figures , i think they're great !!! They arnt meant to be marvel legends or reveltech . Who'd a thought we'd get these 10 yrs ago !!! Well done Brian at super7 👍😊
I just recently got into the Thundercats Super 7 line over the past month or so and I have been super impressed with them, besides a couple missteps with Grune (hips) and Tygra (just weird QC stuff), I'm loving them. Looking forward to Cheetara and I think she looks great in hand, so hopefully she will be in stock very soon. Great review!
17:25 that's from the last episode when she used the staff as a flamethrower for like 4 seconds. A blast effect or a multiplied one would've made more sense because she used those a lot more, but it's super7...
@toybro she used that flame attack in the final episode while she and Lynx o were trapped in an ice cave where they waited on Lion O’s signal to place the tile on the fountain. 😊
Ah crap, as always the BBTS prototype photos of this figure look way better. And the lack of articulation on her knees is ridiculous. Every other company has figured out how to articulate their figures why cant super7?
Right? The only figure I own with knees that bad is the Marvel Legends Kingpin... I get the distinct feeling Cheetara should be more poseable than an obese dude in a business suit.
Unfortunately Super 7 believes most people display their figures standing straight up and that adding further articulation cuts into the sculpts too much. =/
@@kingmarkseven17 considering no other company wants to waste the money to get the license they have no impetus to. hell there arent even any 3rd party/kos trying to improve these.
I've got her like 7 months ago, and when I opened and tried to bend her knees, I was too eager and broke her leg up. Then I contacted BBTS, and they sent me another one for my happiness. She is really good , I love her. Super7, for sure, need to remake Pumyra so she can fit with the rest of the gang. I didn't buy Pumyra cause of that , I still have the Mattel one that is gigantic, so I will wait for super7 to remake Pumyra. Very good review.
From many of the comments I’ve read across several TH-cam videos, it seems like the general consensus is that Super7 isn’t handling the Thundercats line with the care you’d expect for the asking price. I feel that after all Thundercats are released, support for the line from fans will drop. I think Super7 is doing okay by the line and I do wish that some of the characters were released without the issues they have, but I still want to see the Lunatics, Ratar-O, Snow-meow, Ghost Jaga, the Berbils, Wily Kit & Wily Kat, Snarfer, Snarf, Tuska Warrior, Osborne (sp may be off; is Snarf’s Uncle), the Willa’s, and that dog that was given to the Thunderkittens. As far as vehicles, I was surprised that the Thundertank kicked off the release of vehicles, so I think it would be cool to get the Feliner and ThunderStrike at some point.
Judging by the comments here that Cheetara is a pretty polarizing figure but to me she looks great! The overall look is nice and glad to see the hips more streamlined then their previous MOTU females, especially that Teela.
The articulation on this is really disappointing. Like, for the price that Super7 charge, they should already have more articulation than they do, but Cheetara can't even hit THOSE usual levels. I don't think I own a single figure with knees as bad as hers, and that's including big Marvel Legends build-a-figures and Super7's other Super7 figures. For a character as agile as Cheetara, it's a big disappointment. With the delays, inconsistency, very weird QC and limited articulation, I think I'm at my breaking point with Super7. I like the licenses Super7 has, and some of their stuff looks really cool, but it's just too hit-or-miss, and their business is so reliant on weaponised FOMO, and there just isn't enough quality that I can excuse it compared to S.H.Figuarts or MAFEX, which have those problems too and are somewhat more expensive... but you see the leap in quality a lot more than you do with Super7. I'm hoping they really improve, especially with female figures, because I am dreading that Steelheart is going to turn out like this too.
I really can't get past the giant thigh and crotch gaps. She looks to be the basis for the Silverhawks Steelheart figure, so if the release version of that has this same issue then I'm cancelling.
I appreciate how objective you always remain on these provided product reviews. She looks fantastic and well worth the wait. I cannot wait to have her and then bring on the Thundertank now that the core is complete. Great review dude.
I've got her on the way from BBTS! Seeing this review gives me hope that the figure is going to be good. I do hope we get some of the other characters like Snarf.
Her blue eye shadow is missing. The prototype head was/is fantastic. Fix the eyes and give better range in the knees, and she'd be perfect!!!! Awesome review.
I'm with you on the second expression it would have been nice. But I have. Feeling Super 7 will offer an accessory pack with everything we're missing. A chest for the treasure, glowing eye for everyone and a Snarf for example.
Dagnab it, I held off on getting two of these (to display Flash style with a running head version in front of standard) with the hope she would just fill out the core team at least. Turned out way better than I thought, in fact I prefer this head over the prototype! Sigh, off to BBTS to order another, my poor wallet.
Out of curiosity, knowing what this line is, what articulation did you expect? Range on arms and legs is pretty normal here. She needs more torso movement, but after Pumyra it's still on par for the line.
@@ToyBro maybe a deeper cut to increase the range over 90 degrees for a character that is known for running. Also. The torso looks very limited. Hopefully some modification is possible to increase the range without creating a gap. O want to have mine in hands to see for myself.
Considering they delayed this figure and the premium price, I do no think this is worth it . Super 7 knows they will sell cause collectors need to finish the core team but, they could have given her way more articulation, especially at the torso and knees . She's a "running" character, full range of movement should be a must . Also, is no one gonna mention she looks like she has a soggy diaper on!??

Super seven houses by nostalgia because these action figures are so dated were talking about what 10-12 years they are masters of the universe classics now this character is supposed to be lightning fast good luck trying to get her into a running pose
While it's true you could say articulation is dated its does fit in with motuc very well and for some of us old foogies like me it's exactly what we wanted, now bring on Silverhawks !
I'm really disappointed with Super7 articulation given the premium price. Sculpt is undeniably great, though. It's unfortunate that Super7 are the only game in town for most of the 80s licenses. Sure, we have Ramen Toy but they're unlicensed, so it's a bit of a grey area for me. I did try their 80s colors version of their 80s Commanders. I'll be getting them today, so I'll see if I can change my mind regarding unlicensed stuff.
Too much of a neutral stance in your review. "It poses a problem but it's well done". "That's part of the issue, it's not really an issue right now". Her hips are on the wide side, it's really a minor issue" the hips were the main reason this figure was delayed. "There is a little room for improvement but.." "Pumayra is a little bit tall" that figure is too tall period.. Im very confused where you stand on this figure there seems like the need to pander. As you mention an issue you immediately correct it by adding but, it's minor, it's not an issue.
The articulation sucks but it's Super7 🙄 Glad she's painted nice though. After I get the core teams on both sides and the Thunder Tank I think I'm done with this line.
From a sculpt and paint perspective she looks magnificent but from being an action figure she is beyond disappointing, less than 90° leg bend,90° elbow bend, basically no head articulation no waist swivel or ab-crunch I don't want to seem like a jerk but I would've loved to have seen 1 of those dynamic running poses u said u have no problem getting, as a collector who is a stickler for articulation ill put my Mp-44 Optimus Prime up(1 of the most articulated transforming figures ever made) that u can't get her into 1 dynamic running pose its impossible with such limited articulation it won't happen, and that jogging pose that u showed does not count, look ultimately if u like it thats all that matters but for a supposed unsuper 7 ultimate there are too many limitations and qc issues in this line for them to be asking a premium price like they are and I understand they supplied u with the figure but call it how it is thats all I'm saying...and this is coming from someone who grew up watching Thundercats everyday I love my Thundercats just not what this company is offering this is supposed to be an official product and imo its an official peace of crap im so dissatisfied and disappointed in this whole line I would've loved to be in on this line.
Compared to the prototype this figure is a huge disappointment and a let down. Super 7 seemed to go limp once they got through the Matty Collector molds and had to stand on their own. I'm glad that Ramen toys is making the Silver Hawks line, because Super 7 is holding a few Ls now...
Looks better than expected, although you are rigth about the fact that there is no consistency on the line, she should have a battle face head like the others, and a glowing eyes head for everyone. The staff it’s too soft, i might have to make one much harder to hold the effect stuff. I also think that her crutch area is too pointy. Finally i am not too happy with how they painted her face, her eyes look too wide open and too close together, but it is what it is. I wish at some point Hasbro took over this line.
@@Seimo426 I didn't mean she was big, she has mom hips. The body type isn't right, Pumyra has better proportions. Cheetara looks too rectangular here. Not saying it's horrible, just not accurate.
I wish I had never started collecting this line. Super7 is ruining my favorite characters from the show...and no, I'm not going to blame the factory. Super7 gets the blame, as they should.
I been waiting for this for a long time! I’m calling Super 7 and picking her up this Saturday! I live close to Super 7. Update, she will be in the office in a week or two! :-)
Still pretty annoyed with the whole way this line was handled. QC, inconsistent accessory options, sculpts not matching the characters and the overall lack of respect this line shows to the people that ordered these back when it began. I had the first wave and a few of the ones after, and with the continued issues I ended up selling off the whole lot and cancelled the rest. If you're going to charge boutique prices for boutique figures, you better do it right, otherwise you look like you just don't give a shit about your product or the people who buy it. As long as people keep paying and forgiving Super7, they will continue to phone it in and charge more and more.

I been waiting for this for a long time! I’m calling Super 7 and picking her up this Saturday! I live close to Super 7. Update, she will be in the office in a week or two! :-)
That's great bro!
Do you live close to the SD or SF store?
@@franciscomarquez3678 San Fran. And I have family near the SD. We got it covered lol
@@doc8732 That's awesome Doc
No more S7 for me after this figure
Face looks good and I like the accessories but she seems quite bland and a bit out of scale
:(
Still pretty annoyed with the whole way this line was handled.
