Nice comparison! I built the 41999 out of my own parts with different colour scheme. Although I made improvements by removing the differentials and replacing the portal axle gears with a 1:3 reduction which really improves it. Nice video

what is up with your 9398's suspension, mine behaves like your 41999.
So what was done to improve the set? I’m going to assume that due to the 41999 being more top heavy that it doesn’t perform any better than 9398 with the exception of using the winch. Also the winch should have been operated by remote control.
Your design is great! I just built mine today. Took forever but was well worth it. I was initially disappointed at how slow the, er, truck? car? is but that seems to just be a side effect of its low gearing- it has had enough torque to deal with everything I've thrown at it so far, just has traction problems at times. My first Lego RC kit, and I'm quite impressed!
Many problems with the 9398 is the differentials and gears, the gears that spin the wheel is not the same type of gear so can easily be fixed by changing them into the grey gears and you can change the torque gear that is spined by the motor (small gear) with the bigger gear next to it. Many ways to modify but thats all I found so far...
Endothermic Madness yeah, suspension is excellent but differentials tend to make the car stop, and a 1:3 gear reduction improves the torque rate, honestly I think 41999 did the best on this comparison even though the same applies to that set too

It looks as though yours has better suspension travel. Is this because the body is heavier?

+dr7asans no changes in tranny. Just other weight distibution. blue have more weight on the nose - better traction of front.

congratulations on winning but when you designed it you should have removed the differentials and put those 4pointed yellow gears, or a limited slip differential. And they should have put a 2in1 instruction manual like the 9398 which could be rebuilt into that trial truck. But it seems faster than the 9398 but you could have put xl motors for the l motors, and it represents a muscle car/pony car modded into a monster truck.

its not just the hook that helped the blue one it was its huge weight difference
+Anand Gibbs different weight distribution. No huge weight difference
RCmaniac both crawlers have a similar chassis with the exact same suspension, but 41999 has more parts so the higher weight distribution enabled the suspension to work properly

+Роман Осипов зависит от уровня погружения в ЛЕГО. Синим играть можно, но это не лучшее вложение, Порше один раз соберётся и на полку - играть неинтересно. Экскаватор хранить неудобно, играть тоже (медленный). Я бы на вашем месте купил какой-нибудь набор попроще, моторы и сбрик для управления с телефона. Важное условие - ваше участие, а не просто "купил, на, играй":) редко кто из ребят заинтересовывается сам, нужно быть очень настойчивым ребёнком)

кто водил 9398 у меня есть этот набор. Возможно есть обьяснение почему 41999 так взбирался а 9398 нет . когда ты водил 9398 то не сразу заехал а когда заехал понял как надо взбираться и поэтому хорошо взбирался на 41999

it's pretty cool and no offense but the body is just too long.... and the rims aren't that cool... the white edge only screws it up, instead of a white edge it should be the main color of the body, that would be cooler
i modified the original one.. i took off the compleet drive and steer mech.. took a few extra parts.. added new wheels.. made a new chassi.. and it turned out to become a low rider :D not from the 41999.. i cant... afford it D:

This is a nice comparison. I haven't built the 9398 yet and don't know if I should keep the 41999 sealed as they are so rare. I do like the shape of the 41999 bettter though. Btw ignore those who insult you, it takes effort to make a video for you tube. I made 2 for the 8070 super car and as I only have a tablet they are short.
