The Cupids are commonly considered the same group as the Camelots, but were actually a different group.The Camelots fulfilled the live performance obligations of the Cupids after lead singer Lenny Colton was found dead in his car Feb/63. Police thought it accidental CO poisoning, but group members were skeptical, as Lenny was depressed when his girlfriend, Brenda, left him. They had the same manager so he replaced one group with the other, creating the confusion.. Now I listen to "Brenda" with more appreciation.
