Yeah, it has been a long time…but we need to talk.
We’re at a new chapter in our lives and we want to share it with you. We’ve had an incredibly dark and difficult past few months so its time to get everything out in the open. We hope this sheds some light on why we've been so absent, on and off, "we're here!" and then gone again.

I'm glad you guys were able to identify the source of your problems and do something positive about it before it affected the things you really care about. There's been times in my past where bad working conditions caused relationship issues and it's easy to make the ones you love the target of your frustrations instead of the actual cause. It's difficult and scary to take a chance whenever money and benefits are involved, but hopefully it all works out for you.
Just backed out of a job myself for the same reason, it's hard but carrying around a bag of anger after work doesn't feel good at all for anyone. Glad y'all made the jump and as time goes on you'll shrug that experience off, hope it all works out for you!
Wow. So sorry to hear that you had such a hard time with what sounded like a great opportunity for you. Happiness matters most, it’s true. I’m looking for a new job myself and I have to say that it’s hard. You have to find the balance point between the things that you need to do to survive (or even thrive) and the stuff that will make you happy and ready to go back to work. I know I have to keep that in mind because I had this call center job that paid pretty well but I just wasn’t happy in the job. I wish you all the very best of luck with your new endeavors and hopefully Comic Trips will return!

I admittedly have been out of the loop on basically everything TH-cam...I'm glad I decided to randomly check out some of my favorite you tubers (you guys...and some others...but you guys) I totally relate to your story. I was at a job coincidentally enough at an ad agency (who will not be named) for 12 years. I started in the mailroom and overtime began learning the ins and outs of the industry by the people who worked there. I was finally given the opportunity to work on some real projects when I began working with someone who I thought was the nicest person in the world and suddenly going to work...to put it plainly...sucked. I was being verbally abused, made to feel like I had no business even trying to learn about graphic design, production or advertising period. Unfortunately, I was laid off about 8 or so months ago (which also sucked, but I am working again) which was I feel a blessing. I've moved on from the advertising world (for now). I am doing the occasional freelance project, and like you guys feel like I'm finally getting my "Happy" back. Sometimes a good hard look at your life comes out of unfortunate situations but LIFE FINDS A WAY (yeah I totally stole that from Dr. Malcom...you know Jurassic Park...come on guys!!! LOL!!! just kidding) and you guys found a way to work together and "Get Your Happy Back". I'm happy for both of you and wish you nothing but the best with everything going on in your lives. COMIC TRIPS 4 LIFE!!! OH YEAH...I totally apologize for this absurdly long comment...I'm long winded...

I can honestly say that you two were instrumental in bringing me back to the hobby of comics after binge watching your shows. While I was searching for employment (after experiencing a previous job that sounds similar to your experience), I watched your content to get me through the hard time of waiting for other opportunities. I found a job that I loved and it allowed for me the opportunity and time to enjoy a past hobby passion of mine. Thanks to both of you! Sometimes you don't know how you can affect your viewers in a positive way when you are in front of the camera. Do what you love on your terms. Looking forward to future videos (when you are ready)!

You guys are quite right on not uploading stuff if you feel it was for the best. Your happiness is more paramount than anything and I hope that your success with the website etc continues to grow. Be yourselves and enjoy your life, you get one shot, make it count!

Good for you. Running a channel is a lot of work, so you need to be at your best. I only film when I'm on top form as it does show if you are not digging it. Just keep at it when its fun!

Man, that sounds like a rough time. Glad you were able to push through and reset yourselves. Sounds like you two are on track :) I completely understand the losing desire to make videos. Even though I am not nearly as successful or put as much effort in as you guys, I feel myself get brunt out of making videos often. My viewer engagement has shrunk a ton which doesn't help. hope things are going well,im fairly new to your guys channel but its super fun to watch and makes me feel like im hunting when I cant afford to, cause life happens. im pretty sure everyone should understand that you guys needed to readjust and focus on what matters and I think its awesome you guys are able to tackle those kind of problems head on and with a good head on your shoulders,ill look forword to when you guys get the itch again and have more time for filming cause I don't think its all that uncommon for people to take a break from there hobby,people do it all the time.i used to collect when I was a kid and then I had so much going on I honestly forgot all about it until I found something that struck a chord and got hooked again haha best wishes

You can also just make a clip show that takes some of the best parts of already filmed content. It's obvious that you don't owe any of us TH-cam viewers any explanation, but it's nice that you updated us with future plans.

I sure hope you guys still read these. I've been watching your episodes on T.V. for about 6 months now. At first I caught a stray episode here or there after watching a related genre video and your's popped up. I then found myself looking for and enjoying 2 or 3 of your episodes in a row at a time. I think I came in around the 30s and didn't realize that they were all numbered. I'm guessing that out of all your videos I have only seen about 30 or 40, but I am working to go back and see them all. I've always watched on TV and never had a chance to comment so I made a point to use the computer this time. I enjoy you both as you seem to be very down to earth people and very personable. The connection of like-minded individuals who enjoy the same things. It is fun to see your excitement in hunting for Comic Treasures just as I do and many others do. You are both cute and seem to be so good together. I am so glad that you had the smarts to sit down and take your life in a new direction. All the best to you both! So glad your doing better...I was more worried about you two than the episodes. Since you've been gone , I've re watched Seasons 1 through 4. I'm currently on Season 5. I'm glad that you aren't going to leave Comic Trips. Remember Paul and Kat with your powers combined you are the heart and soul of Comic Trips. You've shared your time and passion with us and imo we are the better for it. I've got your backs. Sorry to hear about the bad times! I was wondering what happened to you two. I made my own stop on a long haul from Toronto to Florida to check out a 2nd & Charles at your suggestion and I have to say it paid off. I was shocked enough I posted my own video about it.
