Great job on the video man. The new generation Yamahas are are spot on. I currently own a 24 yz 450 for moto and it is one the best I’ve ever ridden. Keep up the great work and stay safe out there brother.
Great video as usual with good evaluation of bike. I'm BACK! Two new knees, one new shoulder, 12 screws in my spine along with 3 rods with them. Now to get the bike ready for spring.....gonna be a long winter....sigh. WR gearboxes are the way to go....years ago I switched from CR Husqvarnas to WR's for the trails and my life got better immediately. Yam suspension is so good now, too.
Another great video, very excited for the continued testing/review. Thanks for picking up the FX and sharing the information. Keep up the great work and I am excited to see its capabilities as a do it all bike.
I had a 23 250fx was such a good bike planted, stable, easy to ride fast. Almost effortless honestly. Rarely used first gear even lining up for an obstacle was just so short. I put 140 hours on it off road/enduro. I could not for the life of me slow wheelie it lol just bought a new 250x im more at home on a 2 stroke. I’d have a 250fx as a second bike easy. Just have to convince the wife I need 2 bikes 😂
Hopefully you can try out the 2024 250 rx from honda, its an amazing bike after you put a flywheel weight, revalve the suspension, put a throttle tamer on it . May God Bless you Brother.
@ engine braking matters a lot for our conditions in New England our races are bare minimum 1.5 hours and conditions are mossy rocks, massive wet roots and barely and real soil the rocky conditions and constant on/off throttle makes you tired if you have engine braking

thanks a lot Scott, glad to see the comment from you! these new Yamahas are so good, looking forward to do more riding/testing for sure!
Yz250x: am I a joke to you?
haha, thats a bit different story tho..
Awesome video. Love the YZ250FX and moto version too. Hopefully they make a 350 one day.
Praying for a 350x …they’d sell every single one they could pump out
Never will!

Glad you enjoyed it, lots more to come! Thanks!
Probably the best bike offroad to buy today. Would love to have one.
It really is a great bike!
Love me some Yamaha s. Great video
thanks bro!
You're missing out on the WR250F and WR450F. The true offroad Yammies
yes WR is amazing, I was comparing it to another "x" bikes from Japan that are made as a offroad racers

thanks for sharing Mike! yes, you have to keep both bikes. ;)
Just picked one up this morning! Can’t wait to rip it
right on! share some findings once you ride it!
Looks great, 250x still preferable for maintenance
yes, 2 stroke always easier on maintenance
I would like to see some technical riding and see how it handles slow stuff. If it flames out and stalls alot or not. Very excited for this!!!!!!!!!!!
I will make sure to show that in the next videos, slow technical single track is on the list for sure! Thanks for the comment

I tried 24 450rx, good bikes... but Yamaha does more offroad stuff on their 'X" model.. thats why I said its a real offroad
Can you add a headlight and plate it?
WR model has that.
yea, you can.. depends where you live tho.. California no way
I am considering getting a 250fx currently ride a 125x
I think it makes a lot of sense, let me do more riding and report back
What about the Honda CRF250rx or the wr250f Yamaha?
i was comparing it to another "x" bikes. its much more offroad than other manufacturers from Japan.
@dirtniron bro! Steve Holcombe won the 2023 Enduro GP World championship on a CRF250rx. There's nothing more off-road than Enduro GP!
I’m surprised they don’t have a STOCK rekcluse clutch, toe shift and electric shifter on the bars
common, its not that bad ;)
The WR is waaaaay better for Offroad. Comes with a headlight 😂
I was referring to "X" bikes meant for gncc racing ,etc
but yea, WR is great!
250fx or 25 350xcf for offroad single track?
it its too gnarly and technical the 250fx might be a better bike for that.. I will try it out for sure
Love your content but you make me suffer through 1080p 😢
oh really, what video is not good? gopro stuff?
@@dirtniron the riding in 1080p is a little grainy. Once you watch riding clips in 2k and 4k it’s hard to watch anything else.
Lumpy 4 stroke dirtbike is no fun
:)
Can you dial out engine braking in that app
I havent seen that option there, but perhaps different maps will have different engine brake feel. let me test that
