One thing I can say without reservation is that the bags Eric mentions are awesome. Very intelligently designed. High quality materials superb craftsmanship. I have never found even the smallest flaw. I have five of their products. Every time I buy, they proactively reach out to be sure I'm happy.

I love the AVP but the single log on is killing me. I chose to put my personal account on mine instead of my work account but not being able to use it for work too feels like such a missed opportunity. That instantly became the thing I want most from their next software update 🤞

Can you do a video talking about the developer cable. Is it worth buying as a consumer?

Great video. When everyone uploaded their unboxing, I thought the bold presentation out of the box was striking. Enough so that framing the actual shelf itself as some type of stand could be an option. We know it fits.

I agree with your comment about the tray but tackled this in a different way. I actually waited to see what Waterfield came out with for a case (I LOVE their cases!). But when it became apparent that theirs would require removing the dual loop headband, I bought Apple's case-which I use as a covered tray. I have a really rambunctious dog, so I need for my AVP to be out of his reach AND out of his sight-so he isn't tempted to try to check the headset out.😂

Don’t like the tray idea, the stand that the Apollo app developer created is much cooler looking

I’ve noticed one big difference between the AirPods Pro 2 Lightning versus USB-C besides sound. If you connect your computer to the AVP, the Lightning version will connect quite easily to the computer to deal with the problem of audio not being routed to the AVP. The USB-C version will refuse connection with the computer or may not even appear in the list of allowable sound outputs. I theorize the USB-C version latches onto the AVP and won’t give up that connection due to that mysterious band Apple uses for lossless audio (Apple says it’s not Bluetooth). This is a problem if you don’t own another set of AirPods. I have both versions and that’s how I noticed the difference.

Interesting. When mirroring my Mac I always want Vision Pro as my audio source. But I could see that being annoying if you wanted audio straight from your Mac. When my headset is not on my head I haven’t seen this problem.

@@EricWelander I would prefer the audio come out from the Vision Pro, but the audio remains on the Mac without the use of AirPods. I’m guessing right now, Apple doesn’t think they have the bandwidth to route the audio to AVP, so the only way to make it seem like it’s coming from the Vision Pro is to use AirPods. With Lightning version of the APP2, it’s easy. It connects to the Mac easily so the audio goes directly into your ears. While wearing the AVp, it gives the illusion it’s coming from AVP when it isn’t. With the USB-C version, it will not connect to the Mac at all, so wearing them is useless if you want to hear what’s coming from the Mac. Put in the Lightning version in transparency mode and you can hear audio generated on the AVP and Mac at the same time, though the AVP audio is still coming from the speakers, not the AirPods. I expect Apple will fix that at some point.

Is it really lossless audio? To my understanding you cannot have it via Bluetooth. Probably still hq but not lossless.

Setting that on a hard tray without the soft shell cover, is asking for that glass to get cracked

Nice case size. 180? Worth 70. I own the Apple case it’s huge. But well made

I agree the Apple case is well made, but I think the hand made ballistic nylon case with padding is a great construction too.

I’ve been trying a few cases made for Meta Quest. They do tend to work since the Meta Quest and AVP take up about the same space, but usually you need to get an extra bag (mine is microfiber) to hold accessories just like the Apple version does, usually because the space normally used for holding Quest controllers is useless for the AVP. I just drop my microfiber bag where the controllers would be. I’ve got the Spigen on order to see how well that one works at only $89. The Quest ones have been less than $25 each.

I'm sorry but $180 is way too expensive for that case. I want something that small but I refuse to pay all that money
