For a top fold card....score at 5 1/2 fold then you can trim the width of the folded card stock to 4 1/4!!!!! the trimmer will handle the thickness fine~
I have this cutter and I love it. The "larger " trimmer isn't that much larger than this smaller TH trimmer. Only when you want to cut large sheets and you attach the extension, is it larger. but temporary. The extension stores in the base underneath. Great review.
I just purchased this trimmer for the sole purpose of using it to trim my pictures. I have a lot of different trimmers but find that the little blades dull quickly. This trimmer will be a great asset for me!
I have 2 12” trimmers that I love and use. The Tim Holtz guillotine type is awesome. Not cheap but it’s terrific. The smaller scale that I also love is the one by Cricut ... the latest white one. It’s compact and great for going to classes, etc. and it cuts like a dream.
Thank you! Which trimmer(s) do you currently love? I saw in a comment below you implied maybe you've found a different one you love since this old video? I will say been watching many videos and am basically hearing glowing reviews of this one! Other than sounds like it can't cut chipboard, dang.
I have 2 paper trimmers, the dark one cuts 12x12 and scores and the white one is easy to use and stores in a 3 ring binder but cuts 8x? But I'm still looking for the perfect one with everything. Small sized that cuts 12x12 and scores and is easy to use and stores nicely in a 3 ringed binder. And also has all the card sizes that are easy to use. So people like me that have dyslexia can use the boards easily like normal people. Any suggestions?
I have a Fiskars trimmer. It's the top of the line one. The blade never dulls and it cuts through boxes, chipboard, etc. I like this one, but I am a card maker, and it wouldn't work for me.
Are you sure you have the fiskers rotary? I have it, it's a circle blade and I can cut a 16th size of paper, I love it. It sounds to me like you have the trimmer and not the rotary, I really recommend the rotary one, it's amazing.
Nice video. I love this trimmer. I use it in card making all the time. Once I'm able, I'll get the TH 12" guillotine, too, since it will be a little more compact, as well.
Hello new subbie here! I am definitely thinking I need this in my tools stash. Right now my favorite paper trimmer is the We are memory keepers Trim and Score board. It does cut 12x12 which I love. It also comes with a scoring tool which is quite useful.

I heard just to score the page first then cut it so you can have a top folding card
Genius idea!

I think you are totally right! Since this videos old, I actually ended up getting a trimmer i love but I’ll have to keep that one in mind!
Thinking of getting this one so thanks for doing the review!

I have 2 trimmers. I just can't seem to get the hang of it to make sure that the cuts are accurate. Tfs have a great day. 🤗
princessalways4eva my last one never had accurate cuts either. This one is so precise
Thanks for the info.

Elisha Brumley I have that one too and love it but i feel like I have to constantly buy new blades. Thanks for subbing!
I know. But for now it's what I have. As Maymay says use what you have.
the dahle is by far the best trimmer with lifetime warranty never frays, and self sharpens
Mel B,s paper creations I'll have to check it out! Can you cut 12x12? I'm thinking that's a must for the next one!!
I'm A Cool Mom yes and it cuts way heavy materials as well, chipboard etc.. it's pretty awesome
I use a Cricut only because I gad a coupon from MAYMAYMADEIT and it's her favorite.
