The Dreadnought doesn't charge at you; he leaps. That's why he can miss you even if you're directly in his path, and what makes him less punishing overall.
I think the reason the rocket launcher was constantly firing but seemed to be affected by reload speed much is because you didn't have enough fire rate. I think when it goes off cooldown it fires all the rockets ASAP, but the animation for them coming out isn't instant, there is a delay as they pour out of your back, so because you had so much reload speed it meant that you were queued up to fire another barrage as soon as the first finished, but the rockets were still coming out slowly. If you had more fire rate it might have fired all of the rockets faster, meaning you take full advantage of the really low reload speed
Hurricane dont have fire rate stat. So you cant really make it fire quicker. Once you reload faster than shoot, you are at max possible quantity of rockets.
101% crit for example means 1% chance to do double damage. 200% crit is double damage with every shot, but the scaling with crit dmg multiplier is off. I've seen peope do insane dmg numbers
@@lotorn6065 this is how it works 100% crit chance at 200% crit dmg means 100% chance of doing +200% dmg (100% base + 200% = 300%) 200% crit chance at 200% crit dmg means 100% chance of doing +400% dmg (100% base + 200% 1st crit + 200% 2nd crit = 500% dmg) The crazy numbers you mentioned are due the fact that not only bugs hp scale up each lvl but also your dmg, and how do i know that? @DexTag The rocket launcher fires its entire "clip" at once in a barrage, so fire rate is pointless, the reload speed is what gets it to fire continuously without pause.
But firerate means you are getting the rockets out before the reload. Cool constant fire is one thing, but you're literally leaving damage on the table of your fire rate is too low.
@@TC-sl8olYep, unless someone is spreadsheeting out breakpoints for this game (lol) the only way to know you’re close to optimal with the rocket launcher is by having just enough attack speed that there’s a slight gap in firing between reloads. Otherwise, you could be missing out on rockets because you’re reloading too fast for it to actually empty the entire barrage
Meh, after looking at the before and after of the 3rd overclock, I think you may actually be right. Looks like the rocket launcher might automatically squeeze in every rocket, regardless of attack speed. So yeah if that’s the case, attack speed is a dead stat once your reload time is low enough
@TC-sl8ol do you not realize that that's exactly what I'd said? "Fire rate is pointless, reload speed makes it fire continuously" is exactly what I'd said, because the rocket launcher shoots its whole load of rockets at once regardless of the actual rate of fire. Watch the reload bar underneath the rocket launcher when it shoots, the instant the reload is finished, the reload is beginning again, just like the grenades or the plasma ball launcher do.
@@child_of_madnessgaming667 exactly. So if you make it fire faster then it gets the rockets off instead of wasting rockets buffering on a reload. Basic maths. You want it to fire faster than the reload speed to get as many rockets out as possible. If it fires slower than reload speed then the rockets are not going out at an optimal rate.
Basically you need Max cryo grenade along with rockets to make it safer when you are basically flash banging everything. The stock grenade launcher seems bad compared with everything else since it's damage it's so weak.
Nice Vid! Thx! What i find surprising is the amount of damage of the Acid-Grenade. This was only lvl 8 but has more DPS then you main-wapon on lvl 21? How much damage this can do when fully overclocked?
Dex, you said crit chance is useless, but it's not. You may have learned this by now, but in this game, taking crit above 100% will get double crits. I got my crit chance to 143% in a Scout run with Thick Boy and I was seeing 148k crits. 74k on a normal crit, and double again, so 4x normal damage with anything above 100%. I haven't been able to break 200% yet, but I imagine that it doubles again if you can get it that high.
This is a mechanic I've seen used in a fair few games over time. Not having a clear in game explanation for it is unfortunate but also not uncommon that devs assume the players understand the games like they do.
hint: over 100% crit chance, your crits can now double crit, for twice your amount of crit damage. Crit chance over 100% IS actually useful, try a crit run, you'll see: )
Just watching all these play throughs of this game the ranged enemies are kicking your ass Dex. There are times where you seem to just run right into them even though you would have been fine standing in place, sometimes even randomly doing a 180 right into one (or more) of them. The color of the projectiles does kinda suck because all the colors of the game blend a bit too well, and the lighter color projectiles compared to the slightly brighter explosions/bullets/ores/effects cover them up.
I love it when you get so excited you switch back to German. It's so awesome!

His legs can clip you though so it doesnt always work.
Yes, chokehold is "Würgegriff/Schwitzkasten", you mean Chokepoint which translates to "Engpass" is the right word here. :)

I hope they give this game “endless mode”
Yes, endless mode is s scheduled in future game improvements that the Devs published on Steam some days ago
