You, are a very very lucky man, having a understanding and talented, Wife. Make sure you keep her, lol
I love it when the wives are positive about the trains. My wife and I will go to train shows and after going through the dealers once, she will go look at the display layouts while I go spend money. Great system!
Wow imagine the luck there just happens to be a train shop where you are taking a day trip 😊 And then your wife forces you to buy items! That is one lucky day and husband. Does not get much better than that. Best hobby in the world. Take care, Jeff.
Ok, so I may have embellished the truth a little, but she did actually pay for everything, lol.
Great haul. Hope you thanked your wife with a real nice dinner
Well Dr Dave looks like you'll both be busy for a while ,the layout will look fabulous when it's all done!!! Head's down full steam ahead!!
Nice additions to the collection!
Another nice haul. Shop looks great.
Great shopping trip, you need to keep her , looks great on the layout Dave
Great finds 😉 ... and "Ding Ding" is back lol
Yes, we all need the ding ding
we also have a customer appreciation day coming up April 19th 😏. i don't know what was going on with the flat cars yesterday, I think I ended up selling 13 all together. thanks for stopping in! it was nice to finally meet you in person!
Rob the customer appreciation day is May 19th, not April 21st.
amazing ~ catch you later~
Hi Dave That was a coincidence finding the train shop when taking Ailsa out for lunch. Ailsa has her work cut out now with all the buildings she has.Regards to both of you Tom
Yeah, it's crazy how that all worked out, lol.
nice haul dave
Nice haul. Cool to see the GT auto racks as friends and I spent Sunday afternoons railfanning the GTW for several years, I miss the old orange and Burdakin blue diesels, but time marches on. It's still the best place to see heavy rail action, just all CN now, Also, It will be interesting to see how your wife finishes the structure kits. Looking forward to seeing the depot in particular.
Thanks for sharing
Good stuff, I was hoping you would post today, I'ma bit of a junkie jone"zn for your next post, love the new goodies, very nice,
Tell your wonderful wife, thanks from all us fans, 🎉🎉🎉
Nice auto racks! I used to work at a yard local to me handling those. Up to 120 loads a shift! They're a great addition to any collection.
I was worried they might look too big on my layout, but they are perfect.
You have a very supportive wife. Mine is the very same way.
Thanks for the video, Dave !
Two of those auto carriers are fine. I have seen a few trains, where just two were in a mixed consist here in Indiana. Great finds as usual ! .
You can Never say No to a Train Shop. The power Of a Train Shop is very Powerful.
Great product selection. Lots of great on line reviews. Only problem is lack of parking. Living in St Catharines I have driven past the store many times and noticed the car park is usually full. Hope the store does well, filling a big gap in local community. Thanks
The autorack's look amazing.
Cool little shop. May have a peek n when we head that way... not that they would have my stuff, but I like to look, anyhow. Can always buy scenery, too.
Do you have dates for your trip yet? Would be great to meet you guys.
It was great seeing you again Dave and thanks for the great video of the store. Hope to see you soon. Also I am going to check the back room I think I might have one more of those houses you are looking for.
great little shop in St. Catharines...I'll need to stop by there when i get a chance... as he may have some stuff for my On30 layout.
Nice update. I'll happily visit this place when spring has decided it's going to stay
The big wagons remind me of the things that used to transport Chevy Vegas stacked on their noses that dropped down on drawbridges from the sides. You could do a circus train with those flat cars.
Great video I got a great steal @ Kingston NY train show yesterday
FYI, faller kits can be habit forming, WHY, when you compare to walthers buildings, more colors, may have lighting, most are designed for it, some have interiors and way better instructions .
Plus Faller has train station action kits, which multiple building in one kit, most are station with one to 2 aux building and such
Hi Dave, some nice looking freight cars 😎😎😎😎 yep found those victorian houses in n scale, but at $70 each plus delivery, a bit pricey for me , lol KFC now you need a Walmart 😅😅😅😅 have a good one mate
Back again!
Off topic again:
Regarding the dcc programming track: you can create a scence in which the programming tracks was once part if the line, by putting parts of a dismantled points that lead to the programming track but the railroad pryed it up, leaving say a guide rail a frog and part of the running rail as remaining junk left behind.
That's a pretty good idea, thanks.
Nice haul mate. Ailsa spoils you, but you're worth it I hear you cry! Thta looks a great wee shop, I'd spend a fortune in there. The buildings look great, they're a bit big for my layout, but I will keep them in mind for the future. All the best. Brian
You make me laugh . Your grinning from ear to ear. Nice to see a train store open up. Glad your wife helped.
Very nice shop. Could be dangerous to your wallet having it that close. LOL Always helps when the wife wants you to buy something. Mine is that way also. Thanks for sharing.
try working there 🤣🤣
@@RobertV1188Always threatened my wife with getting a job at a hobby shop. She said we could not afford another bill. LOL
Lucky you finding a “homes of yesteryear” kit. They’re really nice. I have only one and I’m always on the lookout for more. That’s a nice looking train shop. But why do TH-camrrs always play country music for their trains? What’s the connection? Maybe a highland tune sometime 😉?
I don't always play that style of music, just depends on my mood. Also, we are limited to copyright free stuff, and the more modern tunes available are bit crap to be honest.
@@ScottRails yes I’m sure there’s copyright restrictions and I agree there’s a lot of crap being passed off as music. I say that as a musician. But I was merely noting how many model train enthusiasts seem to associate the hobby with country music.
@@Quince828 I think it stems from the olde worlde of steam trains and cowboys, lol.
@@ScottRails hey now there’s a modelling idea! Why not have an old fashioned train holdup and robbery scene?
It's not uncommon to see a single rack car. It might have had a maintenance problem and pulled from the train and then added to another train after being repaired. I run a single on one of my trains as I don't have enough basement as to show the 2 miles long trains that come from to 2 Ford plants in Louisville Ky.
Nice touch with the new "Scott Rails" response unit van! Is that you about to get something out of the back?
Yes, a giant stash of model trains, lol.
Very cool shop, unfortunately it’s is 2200 miles from the ranch.
Great deal on the autorack cars, hard to find at that price. What was the tightest curve you ran them on?
Tightest I ran them on was 28". No point trying them on the 18.
I hope that life like KFC is the older painted one and not the new UNpainted one
If you don't mind my asking, what part of the province are you residing. I don't modal HO but I have some old equipment from when I was a kid. I am modaling N scale and they just don't go together.
I'm in Ancaster/Hamilton. How long have you been modelling N scale?
Started in N during the early 80's. Restarted about 4 years ago. Have not done much in the last year but I am working on some other projects. Learning how to use an airbrush and started painting fishing lures. I am in the Barrie area.
I am a shill for tiny railroads.
Does your wife have a sister? LOL
