Real Madrid park would’ve succeeded if they built an Intamin Xcelerator themed to Ronaldo where every time it launches, there’s a loud SUUUUIIIIIIII over the speakers
Thank you for mentioning the ethics of that region of the world. Most enthusiasts ignore it because that involves missing out on the ridiculous coasters under construction/already open over there
The middle east amusement offering is NOT a complete disaster. Ferrari World is still going strong, IMG, Motiongate and Seaworld Abu Dhabi seem stable, unique rides like Storm Coaster and the first S&S Axis coaster were built... this seems like an isolated occurence
@@coasterstuff Parks like Warner Bros. are almost full throughout the year which is probably why they built Seaworld in a relatively short time distance, and Ferrari World too has good attendance, mainly because they are indoors and can bring people in summers. Dubai Parks is empty for half the year, because they built an outdoor park in an oven. But I agree, they should stop with the themeparks and open more water parks instead, Aquaventure and Yas Waterworld are always full even in the summers and are some of the best in the world while their theme parks are usually subpar. Themeparks are suited for places with colder temperatures, while water parks are better for places like Dubai.
@@Gobloniumtrust me Dubai has more than enough water parks. They have Atlantis and legoland too, and even one in a beach district with the 3rd highest slide in the world I believe. Thanks for the video, great content. I had read on Screamscape this park had reopned. I did wonder how they had rethemed the park in such a short space of time. It seems they went to Dollar Tree and bought a few yards of blue, white and yellow bunting and thought that would do. Also nice to see someone mention the ethics of some of the Middle East theme parks and building practices. Far too often, the fan community overlooks this side of things whilst drooling over with the latest mega project.
Ive been to MotionGate Next door and it was so quite, it has a lineup of quality costers and I was able to do the entire park 3 times in half a day, I wish I visited the Bollywood park but I wasn't prepared at the time to spend all that money. i come from Europe and them changing it to a football themed area is just stupid, I know football fans and they don't like going to theme parks, they like going to football stadiums or playing football themselfs, also having it themed after one specific club is even worse as you isolate the crowd even more, while real Madrid is a massive club, the combined fanbase of every other club is way way larger and because of club loyalty they would never step a foot in that park, it would have made more sense to make it into a world cup themed park, as country teams have less loyalty as you support your home county by default and respect other counties, unlike clubs that have heated rivalry. This has to be some kind of money laundering scheme or something because I cant imagine investors actually betting on this place being successful
Bruh I remember all the billboards all along the highway to Abu Dhabi on my trip last year and I was cringing at every one of them, like who tf is gonna want to go that 😂
that's a shame that it's already flopping... i really want them to thrive with their awesome gci and open that mack hyper eventually (or at least sell it if the park does fail)
@@Coaster_Critic yea we’re definitely going back to Dubai so when we do we will do motiongate but the best thing about the UAE parks is the water parks as they have the best water parks in the world so will be spending most time there and also hopefully getting on formula rossa because I missed it as it’s been closed for months
This park also has an unbuilt Mack hyper and (I think) Mack power splash. With those open it would have one of the UAE’s best lineups and would surely draw more people in
Baffling to me that they didn't dub it "Real Madrid presents: Soccer Park". Even if its meant as a Real Madrid park, you can easily use careful wording to imply its slightly less niche.
I have a qestion what do you thing about "warner bros." In madrit is this theme part is good to visit or not because I'm going to Spain and I want visit some good theme park :)
I probably should have mentioned this in the video, but the woodie will probably become very rough over time due to the head and lack of proper maintenance
Whilst your critiques are totally correct with regards to the park, just be careful with how you describe the Kafala system to your viewers. Of course the human rights in the past in the Middle East were shocking, just as they were all over the world some centuries ago. But in 2017, Dubai states that all migrant workers now have exactly the same rights as UAE workers. Confiscation of passports, like places in Qatar, has always been completely illegal in Dubai and on top of that employers must provide 30 days of paid leave, and 15 days of both sick leave and and paid sick leave. The conditions are slowly but surely getting better for immigrant workers, it’s not quite there yet but Dubai is getting there eventually especially with the westernisation of the area.
Any new videos coming antime soon? Also, I was thinking how excited I am to see you ride Batman Gotham City Escape eventually and see if it’s better than Taiga!
I’ve got a bunch of really big videos planned which I’ve been taking my time on, including an updated Europe top 25 now that I’ve ridden GCE, Voltron, and other coasters!
@@Coaster_Critic by GCE do you mean BGCE? If so… Lets gooooo! I have been dying to hear what you think about it, also Voltron looks incredible, but some people are saying it’s Mack’s best coaster by I doubt you put it over The Ride To Happiness!
I live in the Middle East and half of what you said is untrue. There are several parks in Yas Island like Sea World, Warner Bros World and Ferrari world that are almost full year round. Real Madrid world will probably pick up in the winter when it’s cooler. As for the labor, the workers are paid a fair wage and it’s usually 3 times more than what they would make in their own countries. As a matter of fact, restaurants in the Middle East pay their employees a higher wage than in the states and workers here don’t have to rely on tips to survive. The only downside is the construction workers that have to work in the heat. Because of that most construction work in the summer is done at night, not during the day. There are fair laws in place to ensure laborers rights aren’t violated.
I don't see Real Madrid World picking up too much even considering the season; even if there's a slight uptick in crowds, I doubt it'll be enough to keep the park afloat. And as for the labor, mistreatment of migrant workers in the Middle East is a very real thing. Companies have full control of the workers and often violate contracts by reducing their wages and increasing their hours, all while having control of their immigration status as well.
When I came to UAE, I visited Motiongate, and I saw ads for this park, I don't think I've laughed that hard in months, what a stupid idea. Looking at footage of the park just proved my point, it is an embarrassment of a park to attract braindead football fans. And doesn't help that is going to be empty for half the year like the other Dubai Parks thanks to the summer 🤣. I visited Yas Island in the same trip and it was so much, much better, helps that most of the themeparks were indoors except the best coasters (Flying Aces alone soloes everything in Dubai Parks).
I’ve been and it was actually fantastic as I went to all the parks there (they were all apart of my hotel) the best things there were motion gate -10/10 and probably halla Madrid 10/10

Very true
The park should've had multiple lands each themed to a different football team, not all themed to just one.

as a huge real madrid fan i would NOT travel all the way to uae to go to this park
