I’m not familiar with this story or the parents but I will say this: Too many times CPS has kidnapped children and taken them from the safety of their (unharmful) parents only to place them into harms way.
100%. They will take children from poor parents and move those kids into the foster system. A lot of times the children end up in abusive foster homes, and sometimes end up getting raped and even killed. I don’t know what happened in this situation, but they didn’t mention the parents abusing the kid. They just said they had her hidden. I guarantee if the parents were abusing her they would have mentioned it. This is just sad the lengths they will go to steal people’s kids from them.
There's a lot of questions unanswered in this story. She was with her biological parents this entire time. What had they done to lose custody? The doctors said the child was in perfect health when found.
@O I’m pretty they forced her there to avoid the police. I don’t think they kept her there regularly, I think they just wanted to keep their kid. But they also shouldn’t have been doing something bad enough that she was taken away
I'd like to find out more about this story. Child services aren't always the good guys after listening to many stories by parents who have had their children taken. I know of a few cases myself. For instance, a good family had their children taken after one of the children had an injury and the hospital made a claim to say the child wasn't safe in the home. This was a false statement and they took all the children from the parents. So many people stepped forward and proved it was a false claim but the damage had already been done . The family suffered mentally from it.
Medical kidnapping is what that’s called and it is unfortunately becoming more and more common. There is a notorious case of medical kidnapping out of Boston children’s hospital. Look Up Justina Pelletier. Ironically I actually knew her pretty well and was in the hospital with her (at the same time). She’s one of the nicest girls and her family is awesome as well. So horrible what childrens put them through.
No the court system is flawed and horrific. It is not always based on trusty but the tiny nuggets of skewed info presented to a Judge. During my custody, an ex roommate who never paid decided to get back at me and out right lie about things she “heard” . I had one custody evaluator say he didn’t have time to read everything and did I want to pay 25o an hour to do do. Who was fighting for custody and why? I’d be interested in all sides.. not just the “kidnapper” biological parents. It does not add up.
Well the reason why it's so easy for the state to take your kids is bc technically the state owns your child. The moment you give that child a social security number, you belong to the government. Don't believe me? Just keep waiting to see what happens to this country
Yea i was takin from my mother and put into an abusive household for 8 years and when i finally was free from them cps refused to believe i was sexually abused and said i was lying and i was only 14
There must be a lot more to this story. She was abducted by her biological parents, and she was kept in good health - not harmed. So the question I would ask is what did the parents do in order to lose custody of their little girl? Until that is answered, I understand why the parents took such extraordinary step to keep their child.

I'm very hesitant to say this child deserved to be taken from her parents. The system's decisions aren't always right, I'm speaking from the perspective of a child who was ripped away from my mother for baseless, stupid reasons. My mom was poor but supported all my needs and gave me a happy fulfilled life. My father and stepmother weren't satisfied with just visitation, so they sued for custody. They were richer, afforded better lawyers, and knew exactly how to twist my mom's every move into a terrible thing. "This child does homework at the DINNER TABLE??? Unacceptable. I can see with my own two eyes this kid ain't autistic, this mother is babying this child and fabricating autism to get benefits. We must save this child!!!" As a result I spent my entire adolescence as an autistic kid with no diagnosis (stepmom found a doctor who'd overturn it) and expected to behave exactly like children with no disability and whenever I didn't, it was something "my mom trained me to do" and I was punished for it. My dad and stepmom made my life a living hell and my mom could do nothing about it since they'd succeeded in their narrative of painting her as a deadbeat parent. And of course they had plenty of money and a larger cleaner house to flaunt. I'd often cry myself to sleep wishing my mom would come abduct me and take me somewhere where they wouldn't find me. I ran away from home multiple times, and begged the police to take me seriously which they never did. One such time was in the dead of winter and I ran out into the icy cold in nothing but PJs and barefoot, simply because it was my only chance to bolt. These people were the "tough love, physical punishment" type. Bottom line is, we don't know the full story. The system is not perfect and my dad and stepmom proved that by easily swaying it in their favor using money. I begged the judge not to take me away from my mom, in tears, and a week later the decision came out that he had done exactly that -_-
You're not alone. I went through the exact same thing just because my dad didn't like my mom's friend. He twisted her words around to make her seem like a bad mom. I was lied to as a 12 yo, being told i was going to have a sleepover somewhere else for 6 week, but after those weeks were over, i was never sent back home. Mom was accused of child abuse. But she never hurt me. My dad did hurt me, mentally and emotionally anyway. I was stuck in an unsafe space where i got bullied and harassed for 2 years, and counting my time with dad, 3. Been back with mom since mid 2017, but there's still that fear of being abandoned... Why is it that Child Protection Services never listen to a word the child or the accused parent say..?
That's very wholesome for the cops to do that when they were passing a McDonald's restaurant. Giving all the best hopes for her wishing she has to never relive something like that ever again

I don't feel bad. Any person with a working brain would try and arrange something, like visits or calls! I believe it was very obvious she had bad intentions when she locked her kid up behind the stairs for 2 years. I have had an abusive stepfather for 6 years and the kid not making a sound gives me very red flags! The only thing that puzzles me is that she wasn't harmed in some way... Probably emotionally but not physically which is just weird to me! My best guess is maybe emotional abuse or something along those sorts.

@@m0ri461 Or think critically and realize not everything is a conspiracy. She’d been removed from their custody way before they ever took her. It could have been a host of reasons. Considering that they abducted her and thought it was a good idea, I can make a pretty safe bet that there’s a good reason why they got her taken in the first place
Then why separating a healthy child from her biological parents and grandparents? Sending her to strangers is better than let her lives happily with her biological parents?
Every article I read about this doesn't explain why she was taken from her parents in the first place. Why was she taken? Why didnt the parents have custody? She was in good health, they had an apartment in the basement they were living in. Lots of unanswered questions
It's because the information hasn't been disclosed to the public. All we know is. There was an arrest warrent out for the mother, yet what for is unknown. The child wasn't going to school while taken in their custody. And if you look at their mugshots, it's safe to bet they use drugs.
I did a quick search and found a few extra things. The girl's father had been arrested arrested once before 2019. The guardian she was handed to is a family member. Another detail is that mom had a warrant out for her arrest in another case. The bonus detail is the little girl has an older sister in her teens. The sister was in the car when they stopped for McDonald's. It's not reported her but is mentioned in articles.
Sounds like a Family Member thought they were better than Mom & Dad. Like a Sister or nosey Aunt (with money) didn’t approve of Moms choice of Dad! Then Dad being human got arrested. You didn’t say research showed Dad was in & out of jail his whole life! One time. How long? Getting arrested does not mean he served any jail time! Could’ve been a bar fight, a jerk In Law! Based on the Healthy condition of this sweet child, as well as her normal behavior like asking for a Happy Meal sounds like Mom and Dad were doing a very good job raising their child! Who reading this in the face of a relative trying to fool a Cop or Judge to take your child would not do what these parents did? Unless ya think CPS is never wrong!
As a former foster child who was adopted at age 8 the fact that both parents were losing custody is a huge red flag!! My birth mom was in the hospital dying when I was out into foster care because of my birth father's abuse and didn't know her rights as a parent after getting out but needed so much help mentally and emotionally to heal from almost 6 years of abuse he put us through that she couldn't parent me. He of course was the abuser so lost all his kids over the years because of it.
I almost got sent to a foster home because I was being abused by my father and I was too scared to tell them the truth because I didn't want to lose everything I have at home.
Guys, we all see it. Just report them and move on. Responding just gives them a reason to keep living despite their problems at home. The worst thing you can do to them is ignore them.
She was with her biological parents - what did they do for her to be removed from them? How can you report on this case without including that info? Why is the title "Missing 6-Year-Old Found Alive Behind Staircase Wanted McDonald’s"? So many questions...
There's a reason her parents can't be trusted with her. They had her sleeping somewhere like that and were probably abusing/neglecting her enough initially for CPS to want to take her away. They're selfish and taking her out from school and hiding her away for two years is absolutely terrible. They should be ashamed.

And that i also misread the situation in the video and that it was only i hidey hole, which is a relief. I hope that she wasn’t being taken away for no reason, but if she is then shame on cps
Technically, she wasn’t abducted by strangers so this was a case of the biological parents not wanting the child to go to the system. I don’t know what the parents story is but sometimes foster homes can be horrible for a child.
@@frogc. While a kid shouldn't have to live in hiding like this, at least she was very well taken care of; it showed the parents still did care for her and wanted her to be ok. We must save this child!!!"
As a result I spent my entire adolescence as an autistic kid with no diagnosis (stepmom found a doctor who'd overturn it) and expected to behave exactly like children with no disability and whenever I didn't, it was something "my mom trained me to do" and I was punished for it.
I begged the judge not to take me away from my mom, in tears, and a week later the decision came out that he had done exactly that -_-
Sorry
Bro I'm so sorry that happened
So sorry you had to go through all that stuff it sounds very traumatic. :(
I hope this comment can get way more likes.
So sorry for you that is just so sad

I don’t. Bio mom could’ve arranged something with the new family and not lock her kid under the stairs.
Yeah, hopefully with her parents, if there's nothing the matter with them.
Oh, good! Glad she wasn't thrown into the foster system like so many other unfortunate children.
What were the arrests and warrants for? Why did the parents distrust the other family members so much that they hid her instead of going to court?
I'm glad that the big sister got her little sister back, and I also hope that the big sister also got McDonald's.
Sounds like a Family Member thought they were better than Mom & Dad. Like a Sister or nosey Aunt (with money) didn’t approve of Moms choice of Dad! Then Dad being human got arrested. Based on the Healthy condition of this sweet child, as well as her normal behavior like asking for a Happy Meal sounds like Mom and Dad were doing a very good job raising their child! Who reading this in the face of a relative trying to fool a Cop or Judge to take your child would not do what these parents did?

I agree. She seems happy and chill enough to ask for Mcdonalds, so I don't think the parents were abusing her at all. I want to know what happened to make them lose custody.
This is heartbreaking.
I hope she’s doing well now
I’m so glad she is ok!!!🥺🙏🏽 God is good!!!! All the time!!!
The 6 year old should've passed away instead. Would've made this funnier.
The kidnappers deserve a medal

That is so terrible!! The thing that child had to go through during the ordeal. The experience with her getting rescued and then treated with a meal is one of the most heartwarming and satisfying things I have ever heard of.
Well if my child was taken away from me, I would do anything I could to keep her. She was in good health and the mother was under the stairs with her. They allow children to be grossly abused in foster homes, but when the parents actually care about what happens to their child they take her away. I guarantee you that girl will not thank the government for taking her away from her real parents. If the parents were abusive to her, it would have been apparent by now.
Her mother wasn’t under the stairs with her?
They kidnapped their own child and hid her under the stairs for 2 years.
amen 100% right i hope nothing happens to her now she in the government's care
@@thecooldoge6343 You jest of course?
@@thecooldoge6343 They didn't hide her under the stairs for 2 years like Harry Potter...They just hid her there for police searches.
@@thecooldoge6343 the fact that kidnapping your own child is a crime is a violation of human rights it a natural instinct to be with your children... it isn't criminal
I think the parents meant well, they didn't want to lose their child
I’m so sad that she had to go through that
no one deserves that I hope she’s safe now
Half story.
With biological parent, why was that not allowed?
In good health, so obviously not remove prior due to child abuse.
Why once give half a story?
This is so sad. Poor girl. I pray she finds wholeness and peace
Who says she didn't have peace? She was with her parents and healthy so why was the state trying to take her away? Could be for nothing and now she suffers a bad life.
@@TeleCaster66 this is how fake news media works.
she was literally with her mom and they claim she was abducted and missing. and all the sheep agreeing with it.
@@Teddy-se8qb the bio parents lost custody so its counts as kidnapping smh. You just think its fake becausw all you watch is Fox News, OAN, and Newsmax.
@@TeleCaster66 well hiding under a set of stairs doesn’t seem peaceful. I mean I don’t know the whole story yet. But in good environments you probably don’t need to do things like that. Either way, it sounds like she gone through enough. If they weren’t doing anything wrong, why were they hiding? 🤷🏻♀️
@@meganellis9386 Because bio parents lost custody because of abuse or neglect and parents kidnapped them for 2 damn years, yet this "mike" dude says its all fake news by Democrats, calling us all sheep and acting like a troll.
That detective is sooooo kind and caring
The girl was obviously well cared for by her bio parents. Not getting McDonald's isn't a sign of neglect. I'm sure she has no idea what's going on now. I'm curious why she can't be with her bio parents?
Because they committed a felony which should actually be a violation of human rights ..... it shouldn't be a felony or even a crime to kidnap your own child or to try and resist or break outta prison all of those things shouldn't be crimes that u go to prison over ...they shouldn't give u any time to serve ... there all caused by natural instincts
The fact that she wanted McDonalds , make me feel like she’ll be ok , God Bless.
All she wanted was her daughter imagine your child being taken away from you
Never take a child away from her parents! She was with her mom and dad, right? She was fine and healthy. I would do anything in this world to keep my daughter also.
I don't see u saying anything about residential schools in the child slavery done in America just 26 years ago ... I get called crazy for even bringing it up its real Google residential schools cause they were slave camps for indigenous childern in America they were active into the mid 1990s the Canadian goverment and press has mentioned it the American goverment and press have never talked about it not once .... why do u trust this goverment when Bill Clinton was in office slavery was still going on and the goverment was in charge of it

That’s so sad that she was gone for so long but also so sweet the officer did that
Why did her parents lose custody though.
She was unharmed and seemed fine. Probably didnt even know she was "abducted" by her BIOLOGICAL parents.
Theres more to the story.
And you can tell who fully watched the video judging by the comments. Some of y'all really just read headlines and thats it
Yeah, there's more missing. She even recognized McDonald's and was comfortable enough to ask for food, which means she had been exposed to the outside and wasn't kept hidden 24/7.
That's awesome that she spontaneously asked a stranger to get McDonald's, she's got her priorities in order, like she's not traumatized beyond repair.
@@3none having to hide for hours under a stair step whenever the police or CPS came looking (this wasn't the first or second time) can be traumatizing.
