Hello fellow Minnesotan!! Awesome video! Thanks for being so clear in explaining. Like most viewers I'm sure I too have an issue. Mine is with the Neutral light on the new digi speedo. After switching the ignition off the N light stays on, Only to turn off when changing gears. Unlike the speedo in your video Neutral does not come with it's own power wire. I only had to connect the new to the stock blue Neutral. 😁I'd greatly appreciate Any suggestions!!

Question...with the ignition off, does the neutral ilght go off when you put the transmission into any gear position other than neutral?

@@UrbanMonkTV Thanks for getting back to me! Yes the light goes away

@@nathanredding516 Ok, that tells me that the neutral light circuit is working properly but that the speedo is connected to a permanently "hot" lead for it's power rather than a "switched" lead, where power is only available to it when the ignition is in the on position.

A closer look at the ignition switch revealed the problem. Coming from the black-white wire a solid copper wire bridges to orange. In the center of this bridge wire was a brittle plastic section that just fell a part as I pushed at it. Didn't notice it earlier...When I brought the bridge ends together the Neutral light turned off like it should. Good to go!! Thanks Again! And look forward to the next video!

Curious if you have a link to these small gauges. Working on my own bike and love the look of these. Anything is appreciated

Sorry for late reply. Not sure how I overlooked your question. You can purchase these mini gauges from Dime City Cycles and some other sellers on eBay. Thanks for watching.

Why did you hard wire the connections instead of using bullet connectors? Should that gauge fail and need to be replaced or have to be removed temporarily, you've created extra work by having to cut and re-solder the wires. Am I missing something here?

I don't think you're missing anything and your logic is sound. I don't mind soldering - goes quick and I know I have a solid connection.

Where did you get the wiring diagram that you used to wire the gauges? Also do you kno if the 77 is the same as yours? Thnx!

Yes, wiring is same on 77. I got wiring diagram from service manual download here... gsarchive.bwringer.com/

    Tach ratio?

    • @UrbanMonkTV

Tach is 1:4. I don't recall speedo ratio off hand, but I can look it up and get back to you. Thanks for watching!
