That was fun, a great idea to show us all a little of what happens behind the scenes. I hope you do more of these, I'm sure they'll be well received. Safe travels!!
For all of us who are "stuck at home", it is great to feel part of your journeys and the work that precedes the public appearances and glamour. We can better appreciate the planning and attention to detail that is involved for each new venue and performance. You certainly need to be fit to maintain the hectic pace. Thank you for inviting us along, too.
Thank you for this wonderful experience of places we don't get to. Also viewing and listening to those wonderful organs. Just love the architecture of these places. Please post the concerts and share with us your experiences. Thanks.
It was so great to see the fun behind the scenes. 🤣 Can imagine you have lots of laughs in between the serious work of preparing and performing the concerts. Looking forward to the online concerts and to reliving the magic of the live events. Thank you!
It was an excellent idea to film the environments of the cities where they passed. Because we can know important details of the preparations for the concerts. Congratulations! The video is great. 🎥 📸 💗👍🙌
Very interesting. Thank you to both Tom and Jonathan for an interesting tour and demonstrations of the various organs. Look forward to more videos of your trips and concerts.
I enjoyed this video of your visits to some of the churches in Poland. It looks like you both had a wonderful time there. I look forward to seeing your concert videos. The churches in Poland looked beautiful! Regards, Will Ortiz
So interesting to see the behind the scenes tour. Loved seeing all the sights and hearing all the facts. Thank you Jonathan and Tom. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Brilliant, brilliant video! Everyone loves the concerts, but many have little idea about what goes on beforehand or what’s out of sight. A real delight here to see how lovely Krakow looks - and great captions too! Thanks to you both once again ❤️
I live i Kielce which is actually in the middle of the road from Kraków to Warsaw. We also have the new 1-year organ pipes in our cathedral church. They were restored due to 850-anniversary of the church.
I really enjoyed watching some of your relaxed moments, seeing how you prepare for a concert, listening to some conversations between brothers, anyway, I really enjoyed this video! Thank you for this gift!
What a fabulous video. It’s so easy just to see you both as performers but you are great guys too who enjoy what you are doing? A great little in-site into how you put things together. Looking forward to your gorgeous concerts!Lots of Love
A lovely tour around the churches in Poland. Great to see some of the prep work that goes on before the concert, especially all the registration work 😉 Looking forward to seeing more online concerts gentlemen. Thank you for sharing your visit with us. 😊😊😊
Great video, please keep this kind of videos, really interesting to see what it all takes to make a perfect concert. I’m really glad I came to Krakow and was able to hear personally this magnificent organ and your brilliant performance Jonathan. What an amazing experience it was! Can’t wait for Tom’s video from the concert to hear it again. Greetings from Slovakia.
Hallo!!! Hallo Tom Congratulations with your birthday i thougt the 21 of june. I had also my birthday on the 16 of june. With Love from the Netherlands.
Fantastic! Thanks for showing us a snippet of what you get up on tour - hard work but lots of fun I assume. I'm looking forward to the next instalment.
I also enjoyed this brief tour and I look forward to the concert videos. As an added benefit, how about a video showing the process that Tom uses as he sets up the audio and video equipment. Your work is fantastic because both of you are masters of your crafts.
Best wishes to Tom for a very Happy Birthday, Tuesday! - Also the day of the premiere of "A Cathedral's Story" at Ripon Cathedral! How busy you will be - but please take time to enjoy your day! 🎂🎵💗
Thanks for the wonderful tour and the magnificent paying, as always. How wonderful you both interact with each other. It is delightful. Wantagh, NY USA
THANK YOU for this! It's so interesting to see you both traveling and preparing, and to hear your thoughts and conversations, and of course, to see where you are and what you're seeing! This is so delightful! I'm also very curious how you used the GoPro to film yourselves. I love the inside look at the organ works too. Now, I'm craving more of these little traveloguettes, as well as more online concerts! So enjoyable! 🌞🎵😊💗📷
Thanks for the behind the scenes video! Can’t wait for the online concerts! Here in Pennsylvania we have a lot of people with Polish ancestry and pierogi are very popular. Aren’t they good??
hello, I'm very happy that you are in Poland. I highly recommend you to see the organ in Licheń. they have as many as 157 votes, which makes them the largest instrument in Poland and is one of the largest instruments in the world. enjoy exploring
Please inform us of the pedalboards you encounter. Here in the states we have the AGO standard (concave) pedalboard, but I see straight pedalboards even in new organs in Europe. Do those of the French and those of the English differ? What about the old German and Dutch pedalboards. Is it easy for Jonathan to adjust?
The goofy tourist bits are fun as a one-off but other people can do those. What you can share with us that nobody else can is the shots inside the organs, and around the consoles. It would be fascinating to see the mechanics for the bells and chimes. How is tuning done, and how long does it take? How often is it done? Do you prefer consoles facing into the church? Now that connections are all electronic, will we see more of those. To what extent is it now acceptable to change pistons (because they are electronically associated with a login?)
I have a question for the Scott brothers. I have never seen Jonathan turn a page of music on one of his videos. Do you just cut the page turns out of the videos? Or do you memorise most of the piece? Do you have someone to turn pages for you on concerts?
It took me a minute to find it.. Check out his video Bach BWV 532, Prelude and Fugue in D major @ 7:50...the rarest of sights - Jonathan turning a page! 🤩😉🎹🎶 (I remember teasing him about it😅)
I saw him live in concert at Nottingham Albert Hall and he certainly didn’t have an assistant page-turner - I can’t even remember him turning a page, I suspect he lines up all the pages across the music rack to avoid any need to turn.
I have watched him intently, and I believe Jonathan has most pieces fully memorized, but the times he uses sheet music he seems to have copies of all the pages, lined up left to right, so he can usually avoid page turning. He must have very good eyesight, because some of his "pages" appear to be reduced size and quite small.
The mix of different stops (sounds) that Jonathan chooses to use at different points throughout each piece. Once he has played the organ and gone through the stops he pre sets the registrations.
HAVE A HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOM. xx
I love hearing some of the tuning and seeing the trip up to the organ pipes and wiring - it adds to the atmosphere and the feeling of 'being there'.
BRAVISSIMO! 🙏🙏👍🏼👍🏼
Fabulous! As another 'Twist' once famously remarked: "Please, sir, I want some more!"
Hi thanks for the laughs 😂😂😂
Xxxxx
Awesome churches and organs. Thank you gentlemen!
Our favorite Bros in Poland - you go, guys!
That was fun, a great idea to show us all a little of what happens behind the scenes. I hope you do more of these, I'm sure they'll be well received. Safe travels!!

Is that a Vox Bovina they were tuning?
please go to the organ in the sanctuary in Licheń
Local pigeon 🐦
I don't think your GoPro speaks Mancunian. :)
What are 'registrations' ?
The mix of different stops (sounds) that Jonathan chooses to use at different points throughout each piece. Once he has played the organ and gone through the stops he pre sets the registrations.
pozdrawiam z Warszawy 😄
I would definitely visit Poland after seeing this!
