For those asking why I’m not on my job’s insurance-it’s simple. The cost would leave us unable to manage everything else we’re already trying to keep afloat. I’ve never really opened up about how my divorce affected me financially, but let’s just say it hit harder than I ever let on. I don’t want to get into the messy details, but it felt like starting over completely-with weights tied to my back. Being the “bigger person” was a choice I made, but it came with sacrifices I still feel today. But here’s the thing-every step forward since then has been my own. I’ve fought to rebuild my life, face my demons head-on, and create stability for my little family-all while jumping into a new career without a safety net. It hasn’t been easy, but I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished. Life can knock you down, but I’ve learned that getting back up-even when it’s messy and painful-is where real strength comes from. If you’re in the middle of your own struggle, I hope you find that strength too. You’ve got this.
This is such a powerful message. That is where real strength comes from indeed! You should be proud. I hope your ankle is able to be properly dealt with and that you’re able to get the therapy/surgery you need for it!
I work for a governmental healthcare agency. Your states healthcare facilities should have a charity care policy. Contact patient financial services at the hospital, PT, etc. about their charity care policy. States all over the country are working hard to eliminate medical debt for their residents and passing laws like hospitals can no longer report you to collections for missed payments. There are assistance/programs out there, unfortunately you just have to know where to look to apply for them. Please contact me if you need some guidance.
I am happy to watch whatever you and Pam want to post and support how I can (views and likes). I hate that you’re back in part due to financial struggles but I’m so glad you are back and spreading positivity and being so honest about everyday life.
@@JoshuaDTVIm sure you have already considered this but I wonder if you could find one of those knee scooters in the meantime so you can have longer “outings” with less wear and tear on the damaged ligaments/tendons.
Just a small thing but I do watch the ADs which I usually don’t !!! Xxx lucky you lol 😜 but I don’t know what it’s like as I live in England 🇬🇧🇬🇧 and however bad the NHS a is I would get things done for free. Xxx
Josh, I used to watch your videos years ago and I just have to say the happiness and confidence you radiate now (even while telling a story about breaking your ankles lol) is amazing. I'm so glad you have such a wonderful person by your side and that you are able to gracefully handle these stressful situations life hands out. I'm so sorry you're going through this but I love to see you posting more regularly and am happy to watch these videos to help out in any way!
Josh, what you need to do is check with the state insurance you could qualify for state insurance under the term not having affordable insurance. Is he wanting to do a fusion on your ankle? I had the same think with my ankle. The ligaments were not stable. I constantly twisted my ankle. Fusion may be an option however you are still limited md it does take a good year and half, or so for the healing and thinking that it was a good idea to do.
Health care should be available to everyone without ruining them financially. I’m so sorry. Here in France you wouldn’t ever need to give it a second thought. Sending you love and well wishes ❤
While true you both (Canada and france) are taxed WELL above what America is (on average for lower and middle class). So anyone living paycheck to paycheck would be even more broke. Not including the issues like extended wait times and more. Unfortunately the health size (both geographic and population) amd our regressive tax system make universal health care unlikely in America.
@@shawnc292 I love this argument, because even I live paycheque to paycheque. I’m not going to show you my T4 tax form but it has my pension plan, EI insurable earrings, ccp contributions…but all said and done it may be $100 a month (if that) for my income tax…I can still have surgery, health care, X-rays, MRIs, vaccinations, physiotherapy) without paying a dime. The system works. Homeless, poor, sick people can get care they need. (Medications and some services can be a different matter) The government pays the doctors, not you. The US is the only country that doesn’t have it. They don’t care for their people. It’s sad.
@@slkshewolf Your tax rate according to your government is 15% That is comparable to about a 0-10% bracket in the US. The US has medicare and other treatment paths for the homeless and while they could be better they exist. The US is one of the largest democratic countries in the world and has a MUCH wider population than most countries as im sure you know Ontario and BC house most of your country while Secatuan (spelling my bad) has verry little.)
Open enrollment is now you enroll and have insurance for next year to get the work done. The cheapest plan at least last year was $300 a month that’s if you get little assistance. That will help cover at least a percentage of the cost.
Wow! I’m so glad you’re alive, for real man. You had someone watching out for you that morning. When I broke my ankle (lateral mallelous fracture) two years ago playing roller derby I was wheeled out on an office chair and that was excruciating. I can’t even imagine.
My ankle has never felt the same. I too need to ligament surgery but, that means time and money. They didn’t catch the ligament tears for over a year. Kept telling me to go to pt (I already was). Even if you had gone in initially they may not have caught the soft tissue damage. Keeping you in my thoughts and healing manifestation. ❤️🩹
As an Aussie I feel so bad for Americans with the whole healthcare system Ouch! My dad kinda did the same thing in 2007. He was at a work party at a race course & apparently the doors were closed so him & some work people hopped the fence(maybe like 3metres tall) & he did & must have been the way he landed bc he broke both legs. He has metal in his legs but he's all good. Hope everything works out soon & you feel better josh.
but you really should do a fundme. People put their fur babies on there all the time. So as your lesson of the day, take your own advise. Ask for help and those who can will and those who can't won't. No hard feelings. It doesn't hurt to just ask. Hope you feel better and GET better!❤
I broke my ankle in the year 1999,working night stock at Target in Greensboro NC. I never even told anyone. Ive walked on it, all these years. It never healed up right. It hurts every day. You should definitely get yours fixed.
So sorry to hear about your ankle and delay in surgery. I know some people don't like our Canadian healthcare system but we pay for virtually nothing. I have undergone radiation, chemo, immunotherapy and ten major surgeries since 2011 and never paid a dime. I'm forever grateful for that. Sending you prayers and positive thoughts that you get your surgery sooner than you thought.
So sorry your going through this we have all been there in one way or another 🙄 I iked and subscribed hopefully if everyone does that you’ll get through this without too much grief! 🤞🏼
I love you, Josh. You are always in my prayers and I am always thinking about you. I have followed you through your entire life on youtube. I am so sorry for those who have hurt or shamed you on this platform. Some of us are really here to support you. Every person on this planet goes through hardships and more people than you think can relate to what you have gone through in the past. I can only imagine how much more difficult it is to deal with while being a public figure. Sending you so much peace and love.
Hey josh! I work at a physical therapy clinic and it is very expensive if you don't have insurance. But I recommend you at least go to one visit and the therapist should be able to set you up with a home program that you can do exercises from home and then maybe you can just follow up with a therapist like once a month or twice a month if you can at least do that because you will need your exercises updated every now and then as you progress
Thank you for the advice! I have the techniques they showed me… and I do them… but there’s still a lot that needs to happen with surgery and then the therapy that will come after as well. I’ll stay diligent I promise 🫶🏻💙
That is what i did for my knees years ago. Was a life changer for me. Most of it i could easily do at home. It changed my life at the time. I understand surgery is needed first. Good plan for after.
I broke mine a couple of times from falling all the time. I didn’t know it though and now my ankle is all messed up and they want to do surgery on it. I have been holding off on it because I can’t afford to be off work for 2 months to get it done. So I know what you are saying about the cost. I have insurance but it doesn’t cover a lot. Sucks. I hope you can get yours done before it gets any worse.
Watching you tell this story of breaking your foot was so enlightening, wonderful, precious! Because you’re in such a different place, a beautiful place, than you were a few years ago! You’re back to the Josh we all fell in love with… handsome, beautiful inside, caring, loving, and so much more. And you’re true again! You’re an amazing man! 💙
Please talk to a social worker at the hospital or doctor office. Sometimes they have sliding scale fees or other ways to help out. They might ask for your pay stubs, and verification of income. Def look into it. It's worth a shot.
Seconding talking with a social worker at a hospital re financial assistance. You may be eligible for gov help or sliding scale self pay based on income. I have also bartered for care. There was a time I worked at my PT office after my day job to pay for my care. It was a win win. You can't get what you dont ask for. I've also been in the hospital without insurance and arranged lower fees and monthly payments. Not fun but managed. Now I am on work insurance. I never take it for granted.
Yes, be nice to yourself and give yourself grace. We've all do things that we learn from and we can't control a lot of things, but we can control how we react to them. You are doing better than you give yourself credit for, no doubt! Take care of yourself; everything will work out.
I unironically love that game. I also had a tendency to jump down the last four or five steps at my mom’s house since I was a teenager, so distances never scared me. I misjudged this one and CRACK THUD WHOMP 😮
Things will continue to get better!! We're here for all the support! Fall log mas actually inspired me to vlog myself. Which has been a dream of mine for forever. I'm 7 days in. Thank you Josh! You're an inspiration!
I am on board, Josh! I am sorry about your ankle issues but am also secretly happy cuz I missed seeing your videos on a regular basis. Looking forward to them 😊.
Hi Josh and Pam, supporting you all the way from London UK. We used to watch you before so are happy to see you on TH-cam again. Hopefully more ppl can follow and support you so your channel grows again! 😊👍
I’m so sorry to hear about your ankle. I can relate because I broke my ankle 5 months ago and I’m still in physical therapy. I have health insurance but I’ve already paid at least 10k on scans and physical therapy. I didn’t even get surgery. I hope that you’re able to somehow get your surgery and be on your way to doing activities normally again. Not having a good working ankle really does take a lot from your daily life
I'm not in a place to help directly financially but I do have time to watch your content and all ads. I'm off to watch as many of your videos as I can while wearing my "Be Nice To People" shirt. I got it from your merch line years ago and still love it!
I'm so sorry to hear this, Josh. The healthcare/insurance system in the U.S. needs serious reform. You and millions of Americans should not have to suffer because of this greed. Just wanted to let you know that I always watch all ads on your videos, and as long as you keep posting, I'll keep watching. It's not much, but I hope this helps you and your wife in some way. You've got this!
I was in a tough car accident. My foot and ankle were hurt. At the time of the accident, I didn’t realize it was so bad. I went to bed and woke up the next day with the leg throbbing. I couldn’t walk without collapsing. Crutches became my friend. I began to heal and after a few months the bones were good, but like you my ligaments and muscles weren’t working right. I was also still in pain. Every step was uncomfortable and I couldn’t exercise or go anywhere without every step being a reminder of that accident. I went to formal physical therapy three times. I had more session opportunities, but I found that the messages I got from physical therapy were: 1. Stretch/warm up well. 2. Do activating exercises for the muscles with resistance bands. Don’t over work them. 3. Incorporate massage therapy with lotion and tennis balls against the wall/floor etc. 4. Ice the area daily. 5. Practice proper posture. It took 1.2 years for all my pain to FINALLY go away fully. It was a beautiful day when I was on a spontaneous walk with a friend and had finished it only to realize that I’d never even thought of my leg or foot. Never had to. I was beyond it finally. I was humble and appreciative to finally be “healed”. I got there without continuing formal physical therapy. Just incorporating what I took away at home with a simple resistance band and towels. Physical therapy is information that people learned from books and the internet and are being paid to repeat. You don’t need them. Sending healing hugs 🫂
aw, bless. Glad you told the story and hopefully people will listen to your lessons and not repeat the same decisions. May the money you need come easily and quickly and may your ankle heal gently and in good time 💖
I've really been enjoying these vlogs and how authentic they are. I truly believe your audience will continue to grow because of your honesty and heart! I hope you're able to find a way to get surgery soon. ❤
I work for patient Financial at a hospital in Idaho. We allow payments to be made monthly after a percentage down. Maybe check with your hospital to see if they'd allow something like that. We also do a 30% pay in full discount if a patient can pay in full before the procedure... there are also charities you can apply for... just check with your local hospitals to see what they offer.
Oh, Josh. This one hit home for me, we are really struggling over here too. My husband's health has been in major flux for the last year, we are hoping to get answers this week with an MRI scheduled today actually. But we're going to have to make some very hard decisions in the near future, it's hard and it's scary. So thank you for being so open and honest with what you're experiencing. It helps to know we aren't alone.
Getting started on your own can make situations that you normally would never have to think twice about, have many unexpected hurdles. I took a lot of extra risks to make it through every day life. I hope things take a turn for the better soon! Two steps forward, one step back.
I will never understand why America have to pay for their health care. Here in the UK, some of our tax money goes towards the NHS but we get most of it free. It’s so sad. Good luck Josh.
I want to reach through the screen and give you a hug. I'm so sorry my friend. That's very overwhelming news to receive and I wish there was something I could do. I'm sending you so much love. I hope you know you're valid in how you're feeling though, I can only imagine the pain you're facing with your ankle. Thank you for sharing. You get a big virtual hug 🫂 (still watching the video btw)
@@JoshuaDTVlove you too my friend and yeah when you said the price I literally was like 🤯🤯 I can't even imagine. Healthcare in America always shocks me, the fact that it's roughly 20k for you to get your foot sorted is truly mindblowing
Joshua, you have a ton of subscribers. That said, we are behind you and Pamela every step of the way. Health insurance in America is terrible. Yep, I said it. I believe our Higher Power will help find a way for you to get surgery soon. I was on the edge of my seat listening to how you broke your ankle. I have insurance through work, but it's so expensive and takes a chunk of my paycheck each time I'm paid. And that's only for ME! My husband has insurance through His work, and the same thing, they take a huge chunk from his also. We live paycheck to paycheck and it's terrible because I have to endure another year and a half of partial chemo to keep me in remission. It sucks. I can totally relate to you! We love you, Pamela and Shadow. ❣
Love your vlogs. I have watched you from the beginning many years ago. I hate that you don’t have access to health care. You don’t deserve that at all while others still get their money when they are in the wrong completely. I hope you can get things fixed asap! Love you ❤
Josh, I really think you should look for someone who does physical therapy privately. My PT didn’t deal with insurance and I paid about $80 per session. Still expensive, but he genuinely cared and knew more than any other PT I had seen. He was able to get me dancing again after I broke my foot and I was able to avoid surgery on a break that almost always needs it. Also, if you’re not already, take your collagen, glucosamine, omega-3s, vitamins, all that. It will help!!
Agreed with this. I see a private PT who doesn’t accept insurance at all and it’s honestly cheaper than if I were to go to a PT who accepted insurance. She even has a couple of “plans” that bring down the cost if you commit to a specific number of appointments per month. It’s super extra great because she only sees one single patient at a time. Any time I’ve ever been to a PT who accepts insurance they’ve had multiple patients at once and you don’t really get much time with the therapist which seems like a waste of time. But being with private PT who sees one person at a time really cares about patients and I get very personalized, hands on care.
Hey Josh, I am INSANELY stubborn about asking for help, too. And not wanting to bother or inconvenience anyone. I think for any of us who had been there before personally especially. We saw the cost that taking the moral high road costed you. 😿 It’s probably obvious to you because i shared a little snippet of my story with you but i can relate. And honestly, if it was to make a few bucks or whatever the reason. I’m so glad for the gift of getting to see you and Pamela back on TH-cam. I really hope they can find a solution for you to help with the costs. I put off doing anything about some of the buckling from a leg break but that was due to DV for a loooooong time and you are not alone, either. Thank you for bringing kindness and realness to the internet and I hope you will be healing ❤️🩹 soon!
I'm really sorry you're going through this Josh. I know how hard it is to have a physical pain that won't go away. If i were you I'd look into going to Canada for the surgery. I bet it would be cheaper. I saw a video the other day of some women who would go to Canada to buy medicine (i think for diabetes) because it was cheaper. The pharmacist was saying that they get people from the US all the time.
This is the hard part of living in America and i totally feel you on that. Even getting on my job’s insurance is also going to make me live paycheck to paycheck and i only have enough to spend on extra things, so it sucks to not be able to get health insurance which is something so important for us. Definitely glad that you started vlogging again and hopefully it can help you get the financial help!!
Here to support! Also I saw Tym last night in Detroit at Mean Girls. It was a surprise to me because I didn’t know he was in it! lol felt like I knew him because of you.
I completely feel your pain. I broke both of my feet 10 years ago and I haven't gotten any help from doctors nor my family. I can barely walk or stand, can't afford a wheelchair, employers won't work with me, I was ejected from my 3rd year in college because of it. I feel like I am at the end of my rope and the pain has been unbearable. Hang in there though. It sounds like you have someone that's there for you, and you're on the right path in seeking solutions. I hope that you can find some relief soon.
Oh no, I’m sorry Josh! Surgeries are crazy expensive especially when you don’t have insurance. I hope you can get assistance and help with your surgery or even extra money from TH-cam so you can feel and have your normal life back! ❤
I wanted to bring up possible options, in case it hasn't already been discussed or thought about. Have you all checked insurance prices through the affordable care act (Obama care)? "The Open Enrollment Period for 2025 coverage began on November 1, 2024, and will continue until January 15, 2025. To have your coverage start on January 1, 2025, you need to enroll by December 15, 2024." If it's fairly affordable, he could delay his surgery until January and it would be covered. Some car insurance companies are now offering health insurance. It's worth getting quotes. You can reach out to a local insurance person for an a la carte option. The hospital network that he's going through should have a social services department and they could give guidance. Programs are out there that most people don't know about, but the people in that department should know. They could also tell you if the hospital offers discounts. Most of them do have discount programs. Again, most people don't realize this! I think those are all the ideas I had, but I'll send more if I think of any. I hope something in this information helps. 🤗
Prayers, my husband busted his knee so bad that it broke his femur as well. Damaged nerves (drop foot) and multiple tendons around the knee. We were praying hard about it. The day before surgery we had his Dr. Appt. The doctor kept pulling on the knee and telling my husband to relax. My husband was like I am relaxed. The Dr. Excused himself and came back with another Dr. Who also messed with it. Finally they were like we have no idea how this happened so perfectly but we don’t recommend getting surgery tomorrow. The scar tissue filled in so perfectly that it supported his knee perfectly. It took a while for his nerves to heal so he didn’t have drop foot and occasionally his knee would come out. But that only lasted for a year or 2 and now he is fine with it. Works out for 1.5-2 hours every night on the elliptical. Prayer works amazingly.
Hey Josh. This economy has been rough for many of us. Wages are ok when cost of living isn’t. Please sign up for insurance since it’s open enrollment. Enroll in employer sponsored insurance. We’re about the same age (I just turned 40) and my out of pocket for an ACL/meniscus repair was like 7k. Total billed was about 120k when all was said and done. I’m sending you warmth and definitely subscribing. Wishing you the best!
I hurt my back and needed PT, I had a really nice one and she told me as many exercises/stretches I could do at home while I wrote them down! Maybe after a while you can afford a couple sessions and get some to do at home/with Pamela’s help! I’ll keep watching every video to give my view to you!
Oh, im sorry to hear you are struggling, its so unfair how the US healthcare works. We all have moments where we don't think and just do. I do understand the struggle of injuring your ankles. Last Christmas eve I had an accident because I was tired, stressing out, running around not asking for help doing all by myself, all last minute (because of work) and I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings, and my left foot just slipped off the curb and I fell into the road (no cars very quite street). I called my bf in absolute tears to run out and get me (we have no car), I had strangers around me looking clueless, accusing me of being drunk (FYI I was stone cold sober, I have ADHD im just born a little nutty lol) but I knew I'd done something really bad to my ankle. It is my weak ankle after twisting twice before in my life. My wonderful bf came and got me, he actually had to carry my at one point as I couldn't walk home. I felt so bad for days, I couldn't help with Christmas dinner or clean up afterwards (though I got to witness a beautiful moment of my boyfriend's parents helping him clean up in the kitchen; it was very heartwarming to me. I don't come from a close family, so yeah). I was upset I couldn't go to work to help out. I was crawling around my flat, I couldn't do much in the way of chores, I needed bf to help me in and out the shower. I just felt stupid. It was a curb!! At least yours was a big fall from a wall, haha! Anyway, turns out I torn my tendons there may have been a break but I never got an x-ray, so will never know, but it took the best part of this year to heal. I live in the UK I have no excuse other than being stubborn. I still feel soreness in my ankle on the top part but its so minor I can cope. I really hope your doctor finds you a place that is more affordable and you get treatment you need asap. sending you virtual hug and lots of prayers. x
I’m going through the same thing with physical therapy right now, Josh. I know how expensive and difficult this is. I’ve had to halt the visits for now as the cost of each is just not reasonable. I’m in a different state, but for hospital visits I have taken advantage of charity programs that some hospitals have in the past. Unsure if hospitals in your state participate, but it’s worth asking to see if you can get help paying for this surgery by filling out the paperwork. This country really needs to get healthcare under control!
I might not be a huge medical issue but it also kind of is. I have dislocated both my knees, latest one was as recent as September when I was trying to help a friend out. On going issue for years where I became scared of walking outside for months incase I fell. It takes awhile mentally and physically sometimes. Don't try to push yourself if you ankle feels weak. It's okay to just rest for a bit. Thats something I always tell myself. Be nice to yourself too, stuff happens.
I’m only 26 and am struggling SO much financially due to different toxic/abusive households and always having to be on the move, leaving job after job. I’ve still yet to set up an actual career for myself, though I am trying. Basically what I’m saying is, to some degree, I 100% understand the struggles you and your wife may be having with the financials. There’s so much that I can’t pay for, including my own food majority of the time. I also can’t pay for any sort of therapy, or any medical visits of any kind, and I too do not currently have insurance. At the moment I can’t even afford rent and that’s a whole other thing. Can barely even afford my hormones (I’m trans), which in return creates a lot of physical, emotional, & mental issues. All that to say, as cheesy as this sounds, we’re all in this together. Meaning, we are all struggling but at the same time we are all (or should be) there for each other. I haven’t watched many of your videos since roughly 2018, so I don’t know too much about your and Pamela’s lives but I know that you guys will get through this moment. Keep moving forward. You got this. It likely sucks like h*ll right now, but that’s only for right now. I would honestly try making a gofundme or something if it was me, but at the same time I completely understand where you’re coming from in not asking for help and whatnot. As long as you guys have a roof over your head, food on your plates, and are doing fine otherwise… then you’re doing a d*mm good job.
@ Unfortunately it’s hard to know that in times like this, but I’m trying to keep with that mindset of knowing people are in my corner as I know it’s only up from here. Pamela starting fall-log-mas this year was perfect timing and I think being able to watch your vlogs, even on days where there’s shorter low-energy videos, will be incredibly helpful and peaceful. 🩵
Oh Josh I feel for you! I know how frustrating it can be. I broke my ankle in a car accident in 2018. I got lazy with my physical therapy and never regained 100% mobility and still deal with pain everyday. Thankfully it’s not too bad and I can still work ❤
Oh Josh i hope you get the money you need asap. i will play this video over again on my computer while i paint to get your views up. best of luck friend🙏❤️
I have ankylosing spondylitis, just diagnosed about 3 years ago. This has been my life since a jack a** ran a stop sign and plowed me into a retainer wall. Almost 2 years later they don't want to pay for my physical therapy saying she has preexisting conditions, u know what I didn't need physical therapy until I was thrown against an engine block and concrete wall..... so that's fun
I feel your pain man… back in 1999 walking into an arena to see *NSYNC I popped my ankle so severely that to this day 25 years later I’ve probably busted my ankle out a good 20+ times because my ligaments/tendons never fully healed. as you stated it just randomly happens anywhere at any time, not a good feeling. Best thing I found is just to get an old-school lace up brace and wear that as it seems to give the most support to the angle. so sorry you’re having to go through this. so many people are in a financial bind nowadays good luck to you and hopefully you figure something out that’s best for you 💙
It's been nice to see you back and I'm glad you are willing to share a bit of your life with us. I used to love your vlogs in college. I hope you can find a better option for your pain. Our healthcare system sucks.
Hey, friend. Thanks for sharing your situation…life sometimes feels like it knocks you down and keeps you there. We’ve all been there in our own ways. I’m here for you though ❤
I think I can relate somewhat. I’ll be 43 on Tuesday and let’s just say it’ll be a miracle if I can make it to 50 before I need a knee replacement. I have a stable job with a good salary and good insurance but with a high deductible and the last few months of MRI and physical therapy and such, it’s been expensive. I have a good nest egg but when you grow up poor, financial anxiety never quite abates. I have spent a lot of time wondering what I could have done differently in my life to prevent this kind of arthritis, but the reality is that the knee injuries that led to this was mostly a result of being a clumsy kid who liked the outdoors and an adult with an overeating problem. But it’s time to move forward and be a problem solver. You’re right; we can do this. Thank you for being so open and real.
I went through ankle surgery and PT without insurance in 2021 and it is so expensive. I’m about 18k in medical debt from it. They put an internal mesh in that basically holds all of the ligaments to the bone with screws and a plate. It’s a rough recovery. Took about 2 years to fully recover and feel normal walking up and down the stairs 😂 but it’s worth it! The random achy throbs and rough days after recovery are worth the peace of mind that you’re not gonna fall every time you take a step! I wish you so much luck in the rest of your journey with this! Ankle injuries are no joke mannnn!
This sucks!! My dad always told us to “slow down!” I think you should bite the bullet & sign up for your health insurance. It’s too risky to live life without it.
josh - i wrecked my ankle in a somewhat similar way, just that i misjudged the distance from my last porch step to the ground/into a snow bank, then had to drag myself back through the snow and crawled up the steps just to get inside...im so sorry josh... feel free to reach out if you need someone who maybe gets it more to just sit and commiserate with
For those asking why I’m not on my job’s insurance-it’s simple.
Life can knock you down, but I’ve learned that getting back up-even when it’s messy and painful-is where real strength comes from. If you’re in the middle of your own struggle, I hope you find that strength too. You’ve got this.
You’ve been through enough man. It’s time for better things to start happening. ❤
You’re an incredible person, Joshua. Wow.
Yeah. Good things need to happen for you!
❤
Thank you so so much for watching us!
@@JoshuaDTVIm sure you have already considered this but I wonder if you could find one of those knee scooters in the meantime so you can have longer “outings” with less wear and tear on the damaged ligaments/tendons.
@@CherishingtheChaosoh I hope @JoshuaDTV reads this.
Im so sorry josh we love and support you
Just a small thing but I do watch the ADs which I usually don’t !!!
Similarly in Canada. Our system has its faults, but it’s something. Hurts my heart for Americans.
Manifesting millions of views for you. You and Pamela deserve it all!!
Me too
As sad as this is i'm genuinely happy to see your vlogs pop up regularly again. ❤
I’m so sorry you have to go through this!! Thank you for being so open and making these videos!
Thank you so much!!
As an Aussie I feel so bad for Americans with the whole healthcare system
Ouch!
I am so sorry Josh! Hope your ankle gets better soon. Sending you a virtual hug & I will be praying for you❤
Genuinely appreciate your kindness!
@@JoshuaDTV Always! Love you Josh❤️
Man I’m sorry whatever you all post I’ll watch. I’m praying for a speedy recovery and for everything to work out
I hope you get surgery soon! Thanks for being open and honest.
but you really should do a fundme. People put their fur babies on there all the time. So as your lesson of the day, take your own advise. Ask for help and those who can will and those who can't won't. No hard feelings. It doesn't hurt to just ask.
Hope you feel better and GET better!❤
I would for sure donate xox
I broke my ankle in the year 1999,working night stock at Target in Greensboro NC. I never even told anyone. Ive walked on it, all these years. It never healed up right. It hurts every day. You should definitely get yours fixed.
I hope you managed to get yours fixed one day
So sorry to hear about your ankle and delay in surgery.
So many of us would do what little we can if you set up a GoFundMe!
yes!
Agreed!!! ❤
Yes! I would contribute.
Thank you for posting! This journey is not easy. Good luck!
Wishing you healing and strength at this time. Hoping it all works out for you ❤
Please talk to a social worker at the hospital or doctor office.
Hope your going to be okay and get medical coverage and treatment and get back on your feet 👣 better soon
Your internet family has your back! ♥️♥️♥️
Totally!!!
This was very GTA of you! I hope you can have the surgery as soon as possible
I unironically love that game. I also had a tendency to jump down the last four or five steps at my mom’s house since I was a teenager, so distances never scared me. I misjudged this one and CRACK THUD WHOMP 😮

Ugh I'm so sorry all of that happened Josh. Sending all the positive and healing vibes your way.
May the money you need come easily and quickly and may your ankle heal gently and in good time 💖
I hope so too! Thank you!
I’ll watch and share!
I've really been enjoying these vlogs and how authentic they are. I truly believe your audience will continue to grow because of your honesty and heart! I hope you're able to find a way to get surgery soon. ❤
I broke mine a few years ago, and the pain was sooo bad. So I feel your pain. Things will get better. 🎈
Keep posting...we will keep watching....even 1 takes. We will keep supporting you!!
We love you Joshua and Pamela. My little sister told me in July to get health insurance just in case. I need to look into already. Thank you!
I am so sorry. Hugs to you and Pam. I am sending love and prayers to you that get the surgery and the physical therapy you need!
So many of us are like this!!! It’s rough!! Even with medical insurance we owe soooo much !!! It’s horrible!
You will get through this, you have been through worse, keep your head up and we will keep you company!
Love you friend!!! America right?
Love you Lillian 💙
Looking into all of that!
Sending all the good vibes your way! This sounds awful, I hope you find some way to get relief.
It’s the sign up time for the ACA. It will go into effect January first. We have a silver plan for three adults with blue cross for $245 per month .
Here to support!
Also I saw Tym last night in Detroit at Mean Girls. It was a surprise to me because I didn’t know he was in it! lol felt like I knew him because of you.
You saw my brother!!!!!!!!!!!! Awww that makes me smile super big
Watching all the way through - wishing you the very best.
Well I will support every video. Had a tough few years myself but everyday I wake up positive and start my day❤
Oh no, I’m sorry Josh! Surgeries are crazy expensive especially when you don’t have insurance. I hope you can get assistance and help with your surgery or even extra money from TH-cam so you can feel and have your normal life back! ❤
Joshua, that is so sad, I will keep you in my prayers!!! I'm so sad you're going this.
Fingers crossed 🤞 you get sorted soon
Wishing you the best!
so sorry about your ankle josh ): manifesting a miracle for you!
I really hope your doctor finds you a place that is more affordable and you get treatment you need asap. sending you virtual hug and lots of prayers. x
I’m here to support you guys ❤❤
Well said. So sorry for your pain as well my friend.
Sending you love and light my friend. Your situation sounds difficult to navigate… but I hope you know you have people in your corner 💙💙💙
Thankfully it’s not too bad and I can still work ❤
I’m sorry Josh! Sending you lots of positive energy! 🫶🏻
Yes I’m still here!! Omg I’m so sorry all this happened.
Hope you’re gonna be ok
Always vent here! I will be watching every video! I hope they find a cheaper place for you to get your surgery done soon. Sending you a virtual hug!
Maybe this is a dumb question - If I watch a video multiple times does it give you more revenue?
Yes! And he has lots of other vlogs go watch them too
You’re so sweet to even think about doing that. Thank you!
Healthcare should be free! Can we do a GoFundMe?
Someone else having it worse than you doesn't take away from how hard what you're going through is.
