Salmon go back to where they were born, then they spawn and most of them die. They spend years in the sea before making the journey, and they hardly eat on their journey up the river. They live an extraordinary life. Looks like a lovely town. Definitely on my list!
If your heading of to Aberfeldy not too far away is Kinloch rannoch you will see red dear in the fields and the waterfall and blair castle is nearby. Just a suggestion.
Hi guys love the videos, the reason why they don't want love locks on the bridge is due to the potential weight increase, due to the fact that the bridge is a suspension bridge it will only be able to take so much strain and some padlocks weight quiet a lot and if you have multiple together then it could be potentially unsafe. Wonderful place ... I cycled John o groat's to lands end a few years ago and stayed in Pitlochry during the trip ... Loved the place and must go back again one day ...❤️❤️❤️
Your right it’s a fish ladder they don’t jump over the concrete there’s pipes the come up and the water comes from the turbines and down the ladder causing the whirlpool the salmon return to where they were born
I'm sure I saw somewhere you can get somehow level with that fish ladder and see below the water to watch for the salmon working their way up. I've never got as far as actually looking though. Aberfeldy is one of my favourite villages in Scotland, will be interested to see what you think. Not as much there as Pitlochry but its a nice place to wander around.
As a truck driver I drive past these places all the time..so I think it's time to buy a camper van and see these places properly and not just drive past...keep the vlogs coming..👍👍👍

At 10.46 the pool your looking at there’s a window the other side and a fish counter that counts the salmon now they don’t jump the swim up the pipes that go between the chambers that’s why the water is turbulent and this dam is linked to others producing power I think there is 3 or 4 linked

Nice to see a Part 2 of your Pitlochry video. MacNaughton’s is a long established,family run business, selling both ladies and menswear. I bought a nice Barbour shirt in there, while I was in Pitlochry, back in June. There is a great selection of shops in the town. The Fisher’s Hotel, is one of three, which are owned by the same people. The others are the Scotland’s Spa Hotel, and the Atholl Palace Hotel, which I stayed in . Looking forward to seeing you in Aberfeldy, another town I have had overnight stays in.Take care.
Classic Mazzy on the bridge looking at the locks, lets see who this one is " ABUS" lol, went to Pitlochry for Valentines weekend with my wife a few years ago, it is a beautiful town, we stayed at the Dundarach hotel, it was built by a wine merchant as his home to show case his success, there are three main rooms on the ground floor all of them show the different growth stage of the grapes which is depicted in the hand cast plaster mouldings around the ceilings, the first room just has leaves the second has the leaves and grape buds and the third has full bunches of grapes and the views are amazing from the windows, A very interesting history. Good vlog
You make such interesting videos showing the interesting parts of town making us want to visit the same places we do not gave a motor home but watching your videos makes us want to get one. The one we are looking at has been used for 6 months as a rental van it’s a Fiat 6 berth when we looked at it it looked brand new and they are offering a 3 year warranty with it we just need to get the money from our savings then I think we may be joint you. Not full time but part time because of my health I need to be near my doctor and my hospital consultants when I’m not well and I’m sure that my wife will drive us from wherever we are to home if I become ill

There is a "haunted" castle outside of Aberfeldy. Maybe you can do the ghost tour! Castle Menzies.
