- Here is some context for important scenes:
0:00 - 0:12 The first exercise is called „10 seconds“. Within 10 seconds 10 targets appear and he must neutralize them. However, among 2 of these targets are also unarmed innocents which he must not shoot, otherwise the exercise ends immediately. He finished the exercise within 8.3 seconds, which means he needed an average of 0.83 seconds to identify and neutralize a target. He used 2 - 3 shots for each target.
0:12 - 0:30 Very basic daily pistol exercise. He must keep a rapid and steady rate of fire at the blue target on the front (link 1) and then change his focus to pictures on the left and right, where posters of similar size with hostage takers are shown (link 2). He must not hit the hostage at all costs. He reloads the P8 compact in exactly 1.5 seconds.
According to the soldier if they have time they try to fire about 60 rounds every morning just with the sidearm. That of course also includes other exercises where they must be more accurate, like hitting a 3 cm (1.2 in) black dot at a range of 3 m. (link 3)

1:08 - 1:14 He hits a bullet casing at 200 m distance. The bullet casing is resting on a nail and the sniper bullet is hitting its side.
1:21 - 1:34 Identifying targets at night and with distracting light effects. Somewhere inbetween he completely stops shooting, because he identified the targets as unarmed. I think the target identification and neutralisation time is also about 1 second here.

1:41 - 1:48 Once he leans on the cover, the targets start flipping at 1.43. However, the KSK operator only looks and exposes himself to the last target, so the target identification starts at 1:44. 1:52 - 2:00 On the screen appears a math task. The soldier must solve it in a limited time, find the result on the following screen and shoot it. I dont know how much time he has to solve it, but the math tasks in the source video were:

@@colonelthyran7755 Well hasn't Germany been under performing in funding for a while, I might be wrong, but aren't there plans to raise the spending to 1.5% by 2024, which isn't even 2%. Also I don't know maybe things have changed, but isn't a lot of the military equipment in a dire need of upgrades and renovations. The Bundeswehr even had thoughts of allowing EU citizens to join it, because of the shortages in manpower, but that I think was dropped quite quickly, so maybe the situation has changed.
@@north1275 The German Military may arguably be underfunded, yes. But the KSK is not affected by that because it is prioritized for funding and is completely separate from the German militaries logistics and equipment procurements.

Well even if They spend just 1.5%, it is still more than most countries can afford because Germany is rich.
But I agree our military is quit small, 184.000 soldiers, 80 Thousand Civilians and just 30.000 Reserve personal at the Moment.
Compared to france, They have 20 Millionen fewer citiesens, we are quit worse.
France have 203.000 soldiers and 100.000 civilians aswell as 38.000 Reserve personal.
From what ive heard Swedish SOG were trained by the Ksk and utilised similar equipment in Afghanistan
DNA test of mine was almost right at 50 percent German. Got it from both sides of the family.

How does KSK compare to GSG9?
As they both have a high focus on solving difficult hostage situations, they are similar in capabilities and the amount of training for this particular task. So I assume the shooting skills are similar.

@@taomahNEGEV No they don't. GSG9 is part of the federal police of Germany. KSK is part of the German Armed forces
As a fun fact: The KSK usually not only trains with but mainly act as the instructors for the GSG9 when it comes to weapon and tactic drills.
