U.A High is a school filled with some really useful quirks, with heroes like Cementoss being super clutch with his ability to just create entire structures using his quirk, and another useful one being Recovery Girl, a hero who has been with U.A ever since her youthful days, but over the course of the series we’ve seen Recovery Girl taking her graceful exit from the series, after being warned very early on that Recovery girl was getting up there in her years. We watch the character go from healing Deku in the first season to finally retiring, however this leaves U.A without a school nurse, although Recovery Girl’s replacement is being trained RIGHT NOW. Eri’s quirk has been used to take away the future of so many others, but with training it’s clear that with healing quirks being so rare, Eri is likely the ONLY replacement for Recovery Girl they’ll be able to find, and with her ability to rewind away any injuries that’ll only get better after the story ends, you can be sure that Eri is going to end up becoming one of the most important heroes of her time.

@@BirbNero What would you consider more morally correct, giving the old lady her well-deserved rest or ensuring that the teaching she imparts to a traumatized child who doesn't fully understand what she is doing and help her to help others, and to live a happy and full life. I know, I'd choose the latter one if I was in her place, but hey.. to each their own.
Rewind takes a long time to charge up, with her only being able to reset Mirio back a few months after letting it charge for almost those few months. Her powers are slightly faster than real time but not by much.

She can remove scars, regrow limbs, reverse poisoning, she can do everything. And she does not overcharge the cells of the injured person, which was a huge limit of Recoery Girl’s power

Imagine she just becomes immortal by rewinding her body by the exact amount it ages. Some people might say that it wouldn't work, but AFO is literally being rewound and can still think forwards in time like everyone else. If he was being "absolutely" rewound, he'd be experiencing his entire life in reverse order. So this means that her Quirk can selectively rewind different aspects of the same object. Rewinding the body, but not rewinding it's current movement or memories.
Or maybe, it’s only rewinding the body. There has been no situation (that I know of) where eri’s quirk caused a rewind in the mind (Wow that rhymes).

@@straypaper That's the thing though, the "mind" is simply connections between a large number of small parts of the body. If the mind was truely separate from the body, things like drugs, brain damage, etc... would not affect the mind, but they do. Therefore since her quirk can rewind the body seperately from the mind, this means it's able to be selective with its effects.
@@tjpprojects7192 It is selective as it doesn't affect memory, however all other physical parts (age, quirk, wounds, etc.) Are effected. Maybe she can develop it, but as it stand she can't control anything really.

Honestly I can see quirks that can heal being fast tracked to hero certification and status with plenty of incentives, one on one internships on the job training, scholarships and few hurdles. UA and other hero school/institutions having healer specific programs even separate from other support heroes, because I can’t see anyone turning away a rare healer, because they can’t fight a robot (hero course), build a robot (support), or raised the funds needed to build the robot (business) and they too vital to be in general studies.
Actual it’s a great retcon for Overhaul his quirk is insanely useful with basically no draw backs, he could have literally heal All Might the yakuza keeping him a secret and close makes so much sense and it’s a tragedy since he could have been extremely successful and held in high regard as a hero hell realistic if his hands weren’t cut off he’s be on the top of the list for reform and early release.
@safalak2229 her quirk essentially rewinds organic matter back to a previous state. Her accidentally killing her dad was her rewinding him all the way back and pass being a fetus, her blood was being used to rewind quirks back to before user developed them so maybe with practice she can even pin point areas. Theoretically she can heal Almight by rewinding his body before the all for one fight, she could temporarily or permanently (b/c of what her blood did) take away quirks, if her quirk works on herself then she can stop aging or become younger when ever she wants, the only thing she can’t really do is that heal auto immune diseases. But come to think of it Horikoshi really wanted to slap a redemption on Dabj after his defeat Eri could rewind him all the way back to being a kid, right before the accident.
Flash forward to a young adult Eri with an annoyed face having a line of students that happened to "Get hurt"... Mostly boys.... And Dadzawa glaring at them with them running off terrified

Eri has the next level healing. If she rewinds time on a limbless body they'll grow back with no side effects where recovery girl just makes the body heal itself while consuming deadly amount of energy.
She could be much more. Literally the potenial to be the greatest hero ever. With one Hand she could heal every wound and illness known to men and with the other on turn every villian back into a child.
Or delete their quirk since overhaul found a way to make her reverse evolution itself.
I can see Eri using her power to be immortal. Healing the sick and injured. Bringing the limbs back to a person who lost said limb.

Healers are important especially someone like Eri
Eri is so broken she could rewind any Hero back to their prime. Like it’s not even just recovery. She could rewind recovery girl to be in her early years again when she could use her powers more effectively. Eri is essentially a cheat code.
I feel like Eri’s future keeps being decided for her, and once again, there’s going to be a lot of pressure on her. She deserves to have a normal childhood away from all of this

I mean, Eri as a combatant would actually be way more useful than Eri as a backline medic. Because as far as I can tell, the severity of the injury she’s healing doesn’t matter, only how long it’s been since it’s been inflicted. Moreover, she has to store up the amount of time she needs to rewind others by. So by far the most efficient use of that limited healing ability is on the front line, where she’ll be spending her power seconds at a time rather than minutes or hours

That's what makes the moment Mirio asks for her help so significant. She tells him not to apologize, since she had been training for just this purpose. She wants to help others with her quirk, but especially those who saved her.

Eri has so much potential to help others
Small problem with using rewind as a healing quirk. When the body breaks a bone or tears a muscle, it puts it back together stronger than before. This means erie might accidentally undo the training the young heroes did. Granted her quirk is perfect for preventing the long term affects of cronic bone break but it does so by undoing everything that lead to it.
I believe if erie rewound izuku to undo the damage to his arms, he would be weaker because the state of his bones would loose their hardening from all of his training since the sports festival.
Well if she rewind just to the moment before injury it will be good. Also losing some proggres is better than losing time to recover or having pernament injuries
The power would only be used to recover wounds. It wouldn’t undo training. Also the body only rebuilds stronger when micro tears and tension builds up. Lacerations from injury or full breaks on bones actually weakens them over time. It’s why people who break bones often break the same one multiple times if they continue the same activity that broke it the first time. It gets slightly easier each time.

@@SH1NK1R01 whether it gets just the injuries is dependent on how precise she can get could she do just a square patch of skin or does she need to do an entire system and then there is if she can rewind to the point of injury or if she goes too far back and basically undos the micro tears you want.

okay as much as I like the idea of Eri replacing Recovery girl, the only flaw is that she wouldn't just rewind the damage, she would also rewind physical progress like body growth and quirk build up. So you probably wouldn't go to her for recovery if it came from training or if rewinding you would put you in a bad position or disables you from another thing.
Well if you lost an arm in a fight 3 years ago and trained your body to make up for that arm. The choice of rather you want your arm back or remain built is yours. But I think I’d want my arm back.

The main problem with Rewind vs Recovery Girl’s Quirk is that Rewind is limited by the amount of energy Eri can store up in her horn. Sure her healing capabilities eclipses that of Recovery Girl which only fast forwards the body’s natural healing process, but Recovery Girls quirk can be used over and over.
The thing that makes Rewind interesting is energy management. Sure Eri could be an AMAZING fighter but if one of her friends gets hurt she has to decide where to allocate Rewinds energy.
So its quite the catch 22. Amazing super healer or a near immortal figther that negs any wounds.

I think everyone is forgetting Eri can only use rewind to a extent, which is her horn, it determines how much she can actually rewind. Her quirk has also been determined to be an accumulation-type quirk, meaning the ability has to build up over time to use.

This is a nice thought, but we have to remember eris quirk operates on a stockpiling principal. She stockpiles the the total time she herself has existed into her quirk and when she needs to she subtracts the amount of time she needs to rewind someone from her stockpile. Though I'm sure if she has full mastery over her quirk she be able to perform bigger feats with small amounts of her stockpile. Such as when she erased her father from existence as a child. Not enough time stockpiled to erase the decades her father existed
