Big Z has the most wins of any Strongman. 2 IFSA, 4WSM, and 8 Arnold's just to name a few. And in my opinion this is the record to beat for deadlift not Eddie's. I know they were done on different setups but the rang of motion is almost identical because of the platform they are standing on.

ive been training with dimitar in championsgate florida...ive seen the guy pull 600lb front squat, surprised he didnt get more, great competitors every one of them!!!
I'd say this was the most challenging lift style. The weight leaves the ground at an angle, so it gets heavier as the lift rises. Plus, the thick bar and bend make it not possible to hitch. Yes, the weight starts off the ground higher than a deadlift bar, but it has its own challenges
There is a separate video of Zydrunas just pulling 1155, and what really pisses me off is that some people say that it looks to be couple inches higher so it's a world record rack pull. They're all haters, and if it's almost 1200 pounds, I doubt an inch or two even make the slightest difference.
***** My point is(I agree with your view as well) that someone will say it looks easy because it looks like a rack pull. Regardless its almost 1200 pounds impressive either way, I do think that Zydrunas Savickas could pull at least 1080 in competetition
It really depends on the inch. the diff between from the floor, roughly 9" from ground to center of the bar, and an inch higher is almost nothing. the difference between 18" measured from ground to center of bar, and an inch higher is an extra 75 to 100 lbs.
