I left 3 decades ago and the property taxes were bad then but must be devastating today.
In 2023, my parents paid $7k a year on a $220k house in the upper Union Street area.
@@HalfAndFullJapanese A friend of my father's, who was a proctologist, sold his house on union Street for $50 K. I sold my house on Plymouth Ave. (Off Union St. near Price Chopper) for about $85-90K, in 1986. I regret having bought the house because the immediate neighbors were pretty trashy. I drove through last summer and it was sad to see how many blacks were in the area. I won't look at it again.
@@WRPUS471 We lived on Cornelius Avenue we’re still I need a little street and neighborhood. Upper Union Street it’s just in walking distance and has a lot of nice stores still. The whole world seems to be changing, less so in Japan but still changing. It’s all been calculated for a great reset. Keep posting your lovely videos!
@@HalfAndFullJapanese I didn't make the videos but I think that they wonderful. I'm feeling pretty sentimental these days for the first 30 years of my life. When I saw the photos of Burnt Hills HS, I felt intensely nostalgic. Why these feelings now? I have no idea.
@@WRPUS471 My father recently passed away and it made me feel very nostalgic for the 1980s I grew up in, I didn’t realize how amazing those times were. So all kinds of TV shows, movies, food, toys and music from there move me. I didn’t think I would ever grown a static of Niskayuna in Schenectady either, the videos to make them look extra lovely. It was a good camera and capturing the area on a beautiful day. Maybe sometimes we don’t realize how beautiful somewhere is when we’re there all the time, even somewhere quiet and simple.
I miss
I miss the Barnes and Noble at Mohawk Commons.
@@richfarmer3478 OMG I miss when it was an indoor mall.
