Yup. It was Wolfie the whole time that wanted this song on the setlist. Unbelievably, Van Halen had never played this song live until this tour. Mind boggling I would submit you that maybe Ed wrote the baseline and recorded it from Michael Anthony. Outside of the big songs: eruption Spanish fly cathedral Bellucci theorem. This song is incredibly difficult to play. I'm glad to see it in person. Thank you Wolfie for pulling this off. I miss you. Ed Van Halen
34 years later...Dave's voice gone and Ed clearly arthritic, but still going. I loved it. I tell you what though. Back in 1981 these guys were incredible live.
DLR going out for an evening walk wearing bright coloured jacket lol Good to hear they had performed Dirty Movies! Am deeply fond and this very underrated tune
God we miss u Edward!! I am so proud to have had your music in my life... This tour he plays FANTASTIC, this version is definately testament to that!!!
Thank you guys very much for coming to Charlotte, NC, PNC pavilion, back in 2015, you guys were remarkable. Especially thank you Sir Eddie Van Halen for the music you gave us, there will never be another, Heaven has a phenomenal guitar player, God bless you sir, I love you 🤘😞🤘
I must say I'm not a fan of DLR with his commentary instead of singing! How 30 years changes us all! One of my favorite VH songs - love seeing Wolfie and Dad and Unc. playing together! Sooo special! If you have not played live on stage with a band you might not understand the electricity that is passed among musicians, even more when it is family! Beautiful!
I read the comments, then i listen to the song.....i love the show and the vocals i don't know what are you all talking about... I mean ofcourse it's not 1970' but i loved it

Absolutely , everybody on here bitching about Dave’s voice is crazy. I was fortunate enough to see them on that tour and every single song they played sounded exactly like they did on the record. It was easily the best concert I’ve been to.

Why would you try and forget you just saw and heard Eddie play guitar? I’m thrilled that I can see and hear it……particularly this song, rarely done live.
Dave wearing his jacket from his other job(directing traffic)this from a guy that was one of the all time greatest heavy rock/metal front-men. to what?.. is he losing the plot?
Isn't it nice to see they dressed for the occasion? They look like a garage band practicing. They looked great in their heyday because they had on at least bright and colorful clothing to enhance their live performance!
I don't believe Wolfie will outlive his father. He certainly doesn't have the songwriting ability of his own material he's released. You'd think he would've at least learned how to construct a song as brilliant and talented as Eddie Van Halen. Wolfie's "Distance" is weak and childish at best!
We all miss Eddie and Fair Warning, but this was sloppy and BAAAAD. Reminds me of the final Black Sabbath tour. Van Halen was my first concert (4th of July 1981 Cobo Hall in Detroit). They opened the show with Unchained. Blew my mind. I'll keep those memories alive by not watching sh!t like this. I'd rather see Chickenfoot play Highway Star. Sorry.
This kind of footage is precious now. Big thanks to Wolfgang for pulling this all together.

well said !!!
Dirty movies is one of my favorite songs. In fact Fair Warning was my favorite album song to song.

They’re fun to sing too

My favorite VH song from their best album!
What...a ...rock...song. Just artistry.
This is a great one for Dave to sing.
It would have been great if he didn't try to prove that he can still sing high, and do his stupid ad libs. He could have done this great.

one of the best VH songs ever - this entire album is one of those I'd purchase without vocals...and I prefer DLR.

The odd/incredible sounds he made for Dancing in the Streets will be buried with him. Damnit
Great song!
This rocks, i love it.

Yeah, but this tune doesn’t have a lot of melody in it either…
Touring is a nightmare on the vocal chords.

Dave’s construction jacket is just a prime look for him😂🤣
