The back seat is an art, it’s a grind. Great story! That tail gets their attention . Dead sticking is a great strategy

Just getting into Ned Rigging. Always been a fast-paced fisherman. But recently I've noticed I get many more bites slowing down and letting my bait do more work. Plus it's just a lot more peaceful way to fish. Just chill and then BINGO! Another bass in the boat!

I’m in the same boat you are in, I’ve always used moving lures but I’ve been getting more bites by slowing down 🤯

Same here, I just cant do it. The more we throw, rapid fire .the more we catch ? Whats wrong with this picture ???

I always bring a fast and slow bait wherever I go. Especially right now where I'm from up North, the bite is super subtle so it's crucial to be patient and have something more finesse

I been watch tons of fishing vids on all kinds of topics especially about tournament fishing and I truly tip my hat off to you because you are the first that I have seen & heard that a pro has learned anything from a co-angler & you seem to be more accepting of co-anglers than most if any. I personally luv to fish to where I dream of fishing as well as fishing as co-angler. You are real class act rather you get the recognition you deserve I truly learn a ton from your content.

Speedworm is extremely versatile. Swim it, tx rig it, shakey head, jerk it, .. it's now my #1 bait and when it's "on" you can catch your limit in 30 min.

I was a co on clear lake with a pretty arrogant young pro was doing a blocking,it was obvious,in the reeds I was pushed up against had a 3ft hole by the bank,I flipped a swim sinko weightless and it tumbled down, dead stick,20 seconds later I was hooked to an 8,I reminded him about the net,I got big fish option of the tournament and he won first, combined weight,he made 13k,sometimes it pays not to ignore your co,just saying, dead sticking is an old school method, bass get so curious they can't stand it,good video.

I can’t count how many times I’ve gone to light a smoke or check a text from the wife and have the lure get hammered. There are other considerations when you’re looking at a bait sitting in the water “without any action”. Does the current from a fish swimming by give a little movement to the tail / legs? What about a smaller fish hitting at one of the small danglie bits making it move in a natural wounded creature way (like a little 1”-3” bluegill for instance, fish that might be scared off by the lure moving). I’ve seen quite a few underwater videos showing fish being put off by too much movement, but move in to investigate once it slows down or stops entirely.

so you prefer baits with legs or flappers , skirts to do this ? opposed to a do nothing stick type bait ?

I'm a huge believer in dead sticking a bait at times. Prime example is when a seasoned Angler takes a real novice fishing and the novice lands the big one. Often it's NOT beginner's luck, it's doing nothing else but dead sticking it that gets brings them into the boat!😆

I've done this in the heat of summer with a small floating shallow crank bait.
Cast it close to the bank along deeper water, let it set for a few and then just small twitches...
