The fact that Jokic took his first shot after 10 minutes, tells us how unselfish and dedicated to his team he really is! He doesn`t care about stats, or rewards, he only cares about making his team perform better. If that is not the true definition of an MVP then I don`t know what is.

That shows just how good Jokic is, the fact that he can dominate a game without even looking for his own shot. Just the fact that he’s on the court gives opponents nightmares, and it makes it so much easier for the 4 other Denver players, Jokic draws all the attention every time he touches the ball. So guys like Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, MPJ can just rack up points.

Watch how often he sets screens or is rolling to the basket in pick and roll and the defender leaves the man with the ball wide open to stop Jokic from a catch and finish. At least 5 to 10 times a game that happens , which essentially functions as the same thing as an assist maybe even better, yet it doesn't show up on the stat sheet.
He had 10 of them in the first half. When the other Nuggets kept bricking, he had to prioritize scoring.

I haven’t watched NBA finals in years. This year I watched every Denver playoff game. They play beautiful basketball and Jokic is so creative and fun to watch. I’ve never thought I’d be looking forward to watch an unathletic center to play basketball 😂

The dude is such a monster, literally unstoppable in the no touch/zone free rules. Nothing you can do... double team, he is going to pass. 1v1, he will shoot over or post up. Drop in the paint, he will shoot the 3 or run a reverse pick n' roll to free up someone else... It's ridiculous, it's like Jordan taking advantage of 1v1, there's nothing the defense can do about it. I would pay to watch Jokic in the anti-zone era... or when the NBA figured things out in the early 00s, which is zones + physicality, maybe in these scenarios Jokic would not be super dominant. But playing in the no touch rules? Jokic is unstoppable... kinda reminds Shaq playing in the early 00s when the golden age of centers retired, nothing you can do to slow him down, it's impossible
no touch rules? This is basically the era with the lowest FTs per game in NBA history. Also back in the 00's they didn't that ball movement, 3pt and most importantly putting some pace back in the game was the response to the new defensive rules

@@jonathanfranco-b7p no, passing is not the same as playmaking, LeBron is an amazing passer, not an amazing playmaker, he never lets the ball flow, always plays a heavy p&r offense and if that doesn't work just passes it to someone to play 1 v 1, he never accepted a team system which is fine since he is a great player, but to say he affects his teammates in any way close to Jokić is blasphemy, KCP is a prime example, he was horrible with LeBron, and having a career year with Jokić, Jokić elevates everyone, LeBron makes them stand around while him and the other superstar dribble out the ball.

Teams will have to play AS TEAMS if they are to win anything.... So players that are all into boosting his own stats will no longer have that much space in media or even their teams...

He'll play for Serbia this FIBA World Cup for sure. However, Serbian coaches must be aware that in order to maximize Jokic, make him the center of the gravity, what I mean, he should be the main facilitator and focal point of the team. I had watched last summer, it was a disappointment, Pesic didn't know how to use Jokic properly. I mean, just watched the quarter final game against Italy, Serbia didn't used Jokic well.
I mean, you have the best basketball player in the world right and probably the most intelligent one as well, you have some good basketball player too. Just make a system around Jokic, and I believe you will be the champion of 2023 FIBA world cup.
