Great video , doing circuits at Southend this weekend hopefully. Taking advantage of the £6 circuits, This video was really helpful.

Sucks that you’re grounded but hopefully they’ll be no more lockdowns after this, so endless flying when we come back.

Nice vid. Currently learning at Lydd so always good to hear ATC. Hopefully check ride to Southend within 2 months, guess it’s quieter there now than even this time last year?

Enjoyed the video and thanks for posting. It's a while since I did a zone transit of Southend and your video has inspired me to go and do it again. Shame you wont be able to fly for a while but maybe you will get opportunities to fly with others during your recovery. Good look with the operation and hope all goes well.

Thanks for the comment. Good luck with your next zone transit. I have always found Southend to be extremely accommodating to GA aircraft. Yes, as soon as I am over the worst of the recovery I am hoping to be able to fly with a few friends.

    Nice circuits and final landing!
What was the class 1 injury?

Thanks! From what I was told by ATC after the flight, a parachutist severely broke and dislocated shoulder on disembarking the aircraft at 15,000 feet. Not sure if that is 100% true though.

PPL Video Diary ouch!!! Just one of many reasons why I don’t want to jump out of an aircraft!! 😂

Yep my thoughts exactly, I’m a lot more comfortable at the controls of a plane instead of jumping out of it. To be honest I did think the worst when I first heard about a class 1 injury on the radio.

If you logged the time to France as PUT with the instructor, your biannual is done, I’m sure he will be happy to sign that off for you

Thanks Mark, yes my instructor has said that he is happy to sign off my flight to France as my biennial check ride. My issue is that I still need 2 more hours of flight time P1 in order to revalidate by experience. Given that my medical certificate has now been suspended and biennial due in November, it is almost guaranteed that this will not be possible.
