Everyone, let's agree. In the Proving Grounds, we snap on turn one every time and make that an 8-cube round right away. No one needs to grind for 20 minutes on a match in the Proving Grounds.
I believe the devs of DC said something about mobile 9 months to a year down the road. I think it may be too late for the game by then. I mean the Steam community here at Snap is what, 10%?
collins had a great suggestion: play fast and snap aggressively in base conquest mode. so you inject overall more tickets into the system in a set amount of time. don't waste too much time overthinking in base mode
I think there's something you've missed with proving grounds. With no stakes, it's easy to just concede if the opponent's decks counter yours. If I'm playing bounce against a sandman deck, I'm just conceding and moving on.
I think Conquest is gonna introduce it's own meta along side the main meta, that being Disrupt decks. I would imagine to get the best chance to win multiple matches against one deck, you use a deck that can disrupt most decks. Enchantress and Cosmo is gonna be seeing a lot of play for sure.
I’m going to play a few different decks in proving grounds to see what people are doing then make a deck to compete with what I’m seeing before moving up in ranks. I’ll stack up as many tickets as I can
Even the first game you can see it coming. Yondu, Wolverine, Electro, Wave, Green Goblin. They play any variation of those by round 3 you know what they're doing
The data list is merely ranking cards by thier inclusion in decks. If a medium card in only in great decks it will rank higher than a great card played in everything. Also infinite distorts the data. The best way would be rank 70-99 to elminate the noise of infinite.
45:00 Marvel Snap does have a coin flip.. its just not as noticeable. Its literally priority. The turns carry out at the same time because the game doesn't require you to actively put up attacks and defenses. Its just a number in each lane. Very very few cards can actually change your opponents number... Tech cards like Shang Chi for example. But at the very beginning the priority is determined by 50/50. The only difference is that you can battle it out to take priority back if you have a nice curve to gain priority. Mr Fantastic is great for helping steal priority. For destroy decks for example, you generally hate when Prio switches to your opponent because they can start putting Armor and Cosmo down before your cards flip over. I would actually argue in these strategy card games, it matters far less who goes first. Just because they put a unit on the board first does not mean they immediately start doing damage before you put a unit on the board. In general you have a turn to defend, and you open up your own opportunity to go on the offensive. Whether you like starting first or second in those games tends to be more about playstyle. But in general, the first turn in any of these games tend to not matter much.
Shadow King pulls more weight than Surfer in my Silver Surfer deck. Nebula, Bishop, and Angela are easy to negate, Monkey and Kitty aren't as easy, but depending on the board, not too hard.
I'm with Alex when he says that the game is at its best when there's no Meta. I'd say that applies to any TCG. Meta is the fun killer. We REALLY need an arena official mode man, lol. That's the most un-meta it can ever get, imo (unless I'm forgetting something).

I've been saying this for a couple months now... Captain Marvel really needs a buff. Even with her god tier ability she's not played, I rarely see her in my opponent's deck. She's too expensive for only 6 power imo
its interesting you say that surprise cards like Klaw will do very well because I think they will be slightly worse because you can only surprise your opponent with them once, but you play multiple matches and now they expect it
Thought the same thing exactly. Suprise will only matter if you manage to snatch like 8 cubes with it. The multi-functional and difficult to deal with cards (like dracula) will be very powerful. In addition to flexible archetypes, like bounce and move.
How good Agents of Shield with Fury can be in a mode like Conquest? How can you counter the unknown? They can give you almost everything now. Pair them with a Sif to discard the Helicarrier and a Ghostrider to bring it back, add a Shang and the Quinjet for tech, and The Collector with Devil Dino can be staple powerhouses.
Wasp is the LEAST surprising A-tier card tbh. Anyone who's played competitive card games knows that when something costs 0 and doesn't have a drawback, shit usually gets real.
I feel like the only problem with Absorbing Man is his cost. Most times I tried to play or even slot in Absorbing Man it just felt super bad because yes, the effect COULD be amazing, and we have a lot of On-Reveal-cards, but they just aren‘t worth copying for 4-cost. In my opinion, they should make him a 3-cost that would open a lot of amazing new opportunities. Think about it: he would be an awesome card for Surfer decks and would maybe make people play Ironheart in that deck again; he could work well in Move, Discard, or pretty much any of these archetypes. #BuffAbsorbingMan
What’s the percentage of players that make it to infinite? Last season was the first time I made it. This season I made it again from rank 77. I couldn’t find the information anywhere and thought you guys would know. This a is fantastic podcast and I listen every week!
I’ve only played snap for 3 months. made infinite late month for the first time and finished at level 120 something. it reset me this month to around level 93 and made it infinite day 2. I was surprised i was reset to level 93. I thought i would drop down to the 70s.
@@theblackhand1 Apparently the reset lvl was a bug, and dropped people 30 levels instead of dropping them to lvl 70. So I think next month it might be 70. I've been playing for a month, Collection level 800 and hit Infinite both last and already in this season. It seemed quite easy, will it get more difficult with higher collection level? Less bots/more experienced players?
Last time was the first time I made it there too... if I'm being honest, usually the only thing I care about is the Mystery Variant and then I stop trying as hard. The golden Mixtape card back, I actually really liked, so I pushed for it. Plus I ended up getting a dumb pixel variant so I felt like I needed to get something out of the season for my time. I'm sure the percentage is lower than it could be just because the reward isn't that great. Even the 500 gold is usually better than the card back because at least I can use it towards Super Rare variants in the shop.

Im collection level 3000 and still missing pool 3 cards like Luke Cage, and with the High Evo meta Its killing me 😭🙄
Cozy I love the dbz shirt, especially since it shows the Goku "GO" kanji instead of the KAME house "turtle" kanji. This kanji was only canonically used in the Namek arc (then in gt b y his kids). fun fact-that symbol just means "go" keeping inline with toriyamas love for double meaning-go for goku-gohan-goten but also go for move run keep climbing never give up!
Kawks and Rocks will be a solid deck for the conquest meta. Zabu-core decks in general will be good with all those tech cards I think. Also, Absorbing Man has always been an awkward card to play, even inside zabu decks. Mystique being just one cheaper and generally copying very strong cards is what separates them so much. Abs Man could use a power buff perhaps. He's always floundering from what I see.
I've been doing pretty well with a Sera/Move deck in ladder, almost 60% win rate (turns out I'm pretty decent with move) but I don't think it'll be good at all in conquest. I gotta go back and look at my older decks when I first started and augment them. It's exciting! I'm looking forward to experimenting but not looking forward to spending the gold though, seems expensive.
I think a Dino Deck will be very good in conquest mode because of Maria Hill, Agent 13 with the random cards you will get, the opponent won't know what to really expect. Yes of course Collison Cozy 😆 🤣
You can buff Deadpool with Buster or forge. Beast forge and Deadpool back to make them zero cost. Turn six you play a zero cost death, a zero cost Deadpool that’s hovering around 16 power, and taskmaster on whichever one is higher.
I can confirm that Sauron Shuri is still a good deck. I have won so many cubes with a turn 4 Shuri into a She-Hulk/Taskmaster on 6. It’s like people forgot how good Shuri is.
For Mantis, her ability should be if your opponent played a card here this turn, look at their hand. You don't get a card, you just get intel. If this seems OP, remember how hard it is to even land that, especially on the first turn. And there are many ways to tune it down (just the highest cost card, the left two cards in their hand, decrease her power, etc. ). I feel like this could have use across many many archetypes, but especially Guardians, where it would really give you that big brain feeling that is the biggest draw to that archetype.
Patriot in my ranks is so easy and predictable to beat, i'm mostly playing Sera Surfer, just lose priority, Sera turn 5, if needed play Rogue or just Brood, Killmonger, Surfer, destroy all Ultron Bots and get easy cubes
Quake serves no purpose. It serves no purpose during a hot location either. Also you need to play it mid. What if you cant play mid. You have 2,3 useless card. You can play scarlet witch, rhino, or best yet storm. Its useless and should be the first card they address. Matter of fact they should just address all the trash first
Conquest is a lot of fun. Got to gold easily with a nimrod & Knull destroy deck. Saw a lot of destroy decks in the games I played so far. You get lots of boosters after every match. Which is pretty neat.
I think Patriot is there because so many are playing High Evo... I just don't see Patriot very often lately, and when I have it's been either decisions to retreat or snap...
Ofc some cards will be lower in usage/popularity than they should be due to their power, cards like Zabu, Jeff, HM, Iron Lad, etc, are all token cards, most of them are 6k tokens and the most part of the playerbase are low spenders and f2p that can't afford to get those cards and most part of the time will spend their tokens on big bads, just shows how bad card acquisition is in right now.
I absolutely loved marvel before snap came out I have been a marvel fanatic since I've been four or five years old I had a bunch of comics I watched all the cartoons movies I had a whole box of comic books somewhere very old somewhere the first or second edition but my drug addict father stole them off of me and sold them before I had a chance to do anything with them I wish I still had that box
The death deck with dead pool as a value play and the death knull finisher is legit. One of the few decks where you can drop a knull bigger than their hulk finisher
I'd propose talking about cards like Jug and Dagger by distinguishing them between True Move (cards like dagger, torch, cloak) and Off Move (cards like Jug, Polaris, and Stegron)
If you do make a new tier list video, I would like to see it more data based like the data tiered list, but probably with only the decks that you have made videos for. The data tiered list doesn't do a breakdown of the winning decks vs. the losing decks for each card in the tier, wish there was someone to show that.
Is silk in that kind of sera-miracle deck you described really better than titania though? Seems like a deck that could be run right now, you should almost never have priority so titania's downside is whatever.

Dr.Doom is such a clutch card for me I snagged him for this seasons free series 3 card and slowly unlocking more of the series 3 cards half way through at 863. Started back in late December and stopped playing mid way through the Black Panther season. I missed out so much :(

Unlucky enough to pull a snowguard from the boxes and man I really really really tried to get her to work in a deck... Honestly it just doesn't work out so I'm not surprised she's played so few times they couldn't rank her. She needs a complete rework to be usable.
Galactus is freaking everywhere, every match! I use my Galactus deck then I play against a control lock decks ._. Rank 80 is Pure Galactus followed by spiderman on 5. Frustrating.
Wait till you got to infinite, more Galactus and Wong =))). Don't know what they have in their mind when playing that boring deck after reaching the Infinite. *Can be easy to beat them with my Surfer's Deck but i'm already Infinite.

Pool 3 is about to hit 100 cards soon. Ranking all of them at that point would feel soo offical.

She hulk MoonGirl is still 18 power for 2 mana, the issue is you run into a turn 5 spiderman or wave and cry.

Played against a lot of Jane Jaw decks the past couple of days. I think I always lost, it's a nuts deck.

I've been using Quake as 2drop in my Shuri/Sauron+RedSkull deck. She's fun.

Idea for Spider-Man: make him like a souped up Polaris. He's maybe a 4/8, and he grabs a random card from each other lane and pulls them to his lane.

The death deck with dead pool as a value play and the death knull finisher is legit. One of the few decks where you can drop a knull bigger than their hulk finisher

If you do make a new tier list video, I would like to see it more data based like the data tiered list, but probably with only the decks that you have made videos for. The data tiered list doesn't do a breakdown of the winning decks vs. the losing decks for each card in the tier, wish there was someone to show that.

Dr.Doom is such a clutch card for me I snagged him for this seasons free series 3 card and slowly unlocking more of the series 3 cards half way through at 863. Started back in late December and stopped playing mid way through the Black Panther season. I missed out so much :(

Unlucky enough to pull a snowguard from the boxes and man I really really really tried to get her to work in a deck... Honestly it just doesn't work out so I'm not surprised she's played so few times they couldn't rank her. She needs a complete rework to be usable.

Galactus is freaking everywhere, every match! I use my Galactus deck then I play against a control lock decks ._. Rank 80 is Pure Galactus followed by spiderman on 5. Frustrating.
