    This last hand feels sad but their’s some crafting options when you start learning looking at biofuels and AAA in this context. 2 plant prod, Eccentric or TI to play it, you have BIG events to play that synergize with a tempo oriented game plan here… you can start with 4 heat and two plants (or more) per Gen here as options and this line of play deserves more consideration for both corps than you give it here.

    MSI hand, considering keeping Lunar Beam with this set up due to increased Earth tag synergy with each additional expansion, the value of those tags goes up quite a bit the larger the deck grows and LBeam is a solid power tag in opening hands at times. The reveal of your draw from action shows why it probably needs consideration when evaluating this opener.

      Yeah, it's an option for sure. If played in gen 1 we can get a few heatbumps out of it even if we don't combo it with more heat prod, the power prod can be useful and earth tag would have been great to get Sister Planet Support down.

    Viron hand, technically you do have a blue card action, rego eaters. Could try a hard terraforming with it, but this increases tempo and decreases scoring rate a bit with less greens. I like the PL high roll a bit more here, hope for something sweet off ASA.

    On the last one I'd pick Eccentric Sponsor and Biofuels. AAA is a must-keep, you need the heat production for a rush. I think you rate this card too low in general. It surely has a tiny time frame to be playable, but if not on turn one for a Phobolog rush when else? Massive turn one incoming: 4 oceans, 1 greenery, 3 heat prod, 2 plant prod, 1 power prod and a whooping +7 TR to start the game! Definitely a winnable opening if the first couple of drafts aren't totally dry.

      Keeping biofuels is quite a lot of cash as well since you can pick up a ti ocean to help get the other oceans down and still have a conversion as well. Biofuels should definitely not be overlooked in this kind of a situation.

      Absolutely, that's what I thought. It might be gone by prelude oceans but it's worth the risk. You don't have an alterative anyway in my opinion. You really can't take Research Network unless you want to go for a big science engine and plan to maximize the potential of finding the big payoff cards or essential combo pieces. On its own it's just terrible value. Mining operations is alright but hard to utilize for the Phobolog rush, since you don't have card draw or any buildings in hand, and usually it's just a trap to invest to much in cities and stuff. General rule of thumb: if you're starting hand sucks, rather go for a short game and Biofuels is best for this purpose. @@jeffreyculbert2093

      Good route - of course the greenery conversion relies on our plants surviving the first actions by our opponents, but if they do we get another TR, 2 plants and 4 MC, so definitely worth the risk!

    First decision my pick would be Robinson with the 2 asteroids, increase plant prod and Adaptation Tech into Methane. End up with 3-3 plant and heat prod with Adapt Tech-ed Herbies on the way. Haven't done the math if we need Indentured. But I think it's definitely possible with it.

      I would probably swap huge asteroid out for UNMI contractor, you get to preserve more starting capital, draw a card, and leave more heat bumps to claim long-term. Adaptation Tech shines in longer games as you get to milk the benefits of cards played earlier, but I 100% agree on the AT/Methane line. People sleep on AT way too much.

      Unmi, MRA, Power plant, adapt tech, indentured, methane, Herbert, deposit, 29 cash. Indentured -> adapt tech, 26 cash. Methane -> Power plant, 10 cash. Robinson action of choice:

      All of these lines (using AT to play Methane gen 1) seem to be better than what I had in mind. I just completely slept on the AT+Methane combo!

    Phobolog or celestic.
    There is a legitimate phobo opener here that you should have considered. Keep TD, Preserve, research Miranda, research and business emp, 5 cash. But then for me things become a bit tough between keeping algae in case I hit random IA off card draw or sponsors and hoping for the EO roll. Feels playable to me. It’s a lot of cash Gen 2, I’d probably wait one draft for EC, EO value before dropping the money prod. S t up well in case any science pay off shows up with 3 really good pieces for a train, ti worth 4 ability feels a bit bette than celestic to me when the hand is kinda unexciting like this one, but it has cash out the wazoo stockpiled and good card quality with the flexibility to pivot into anything based on first draft.

    • @marsexpert4276
      @marsexpert4276  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Definitely risky - depends a lot on hitting the right combo pieces with card draw or in the next drafts, but definitely playable for sure.

      Opener is just not good, probably best bet is to take the money and get in your prayers to RNGesus to hit some action in the first 2 or 3 drafts. Generally with weak openers that have to gamble I prefer the ones that retain flexibility to move into whatever makes sense after first couple drafts and being cash rich helps a lot on that respect.

    Can you maybe make a video about game settings for steam? I tried to play online, but always run out of time (only for the fact timer goes down during animations, but dont know the correct setup)
