My friends who live in Florida and I have an ongoing inside joke of referring to the unbelievably frequent insane crackhead encounters they have as wild wasteland moments
yeah man ive been playing since it was released, i've been taking like at least an hour now to really explore each area/faction/npcs w dialogue and ive completed abt 10 quests ive never even seen before
Most of these encounters carry such an obscure references, no wonder that many people straight up don't notice any of the Wild Wasteland's encounters apart from the most over-the-top ones.
Well I don't like any new games more than NV soo... bro I still play KOTOR. I'm an old man when it comes to these new games. They just don't do it for me anymore
@@JohnDonovan1968 You can get pretty close to a remaster with mods, which is sadly the closest we’ll ever get to a remake, I really doubt Bethesda would do something with New Vegas as they like to pretend it doesn’t exist.

I remember on the console version that during the battle of Hoover dam i would get random wild wasteland triggers, accompanied by the sound of waves crashing. It was on the ps3, but I've never seen anyone acknowledge it
i was about to mention that, i play on PC and when i started the battle of hoover dam with the legion, right as i walked up to the dam, i got a wild wasteland trigger, looked around and couldnt understand what it was about, no radio on, nothing.

Forgot the name but there’s one that lets you get 5 extra skill points and you get 10% less XP. When they ask you if you wanna change anything, you can pick that one again and you get an additional 5 points to everything but still only get 10% less xp. Wild wasteland is way more fun but hard to beat a trait that can give you 10 to every skill

First time playing the gamę i picked wild wasteland as a perk becouse my friends said its fun. When i got out of goodsprings i followed the road. I saw that fridge and got mindblown over how cool it was. Then i went on to Play 200 more hours into the game

The moment with Rex and the well is actually a two part reference as it all refers back to Fallout 2 with the BB gun, specifically the young boy whom you help return to his family from the "Ghost farm"

They had 18 months to make a game, and still made 40 minutes worth of encounters that are entirely optional whether the player even sees them or not.
Not gonna lie. The alien blaster got me through 90% of the game when it got too difficult for normal guns-
the "two bears high fiving" option is there with no mods. I remember always picking it.
