This is definitely the most detailed video I've seen on this topic! I'm not a quad or even paralysed, but my disability means my hand grip can be very poor at times, so knowing how to do certain tasks with limited and grip is so useful! Also, your core workouts have helped me at the gym and I can now kneel without holding onto anything. A small achievement, perhaps, but it's big for me!
Thank you Wendy! I felt the others like this were just a video on it. I wanted a more detailed version explaining why 😊 I'm glad I can help you in some way 🤟
awe dont put your body down you've got quite a nice one. Well done on the shoes Quite informative videos you have. I have an aging mother and it can be helpful to see how you do things that I may have to help her with from time to time in future. Good ways to roll the body from side to side for pants and such.
I'm just making a joke 😋😋 socks are usually the trickiest part for myself. Well I hope it does help. Please feel free to contact me if you need anything further
thank you for sharing your life journey Ben--as a disabled male-It's nice to know that others with disabiliites are doing their best to embrace life journey and I should too.
Hi ☺️ I’m a quadriplegic C4 C5 C6! I recently started making videos to help motivate those like me! Please consider checking out my channel! Thank you 🙏 god bless!!!
You are an amazing guy Ben, I'm with you on the elasticared joggers/trackies, I wear them everyday, apart from when I'm going anywhere special. Great body by the way 😘 thanks for your videos.
@@AdaptToPerform I know what you mean about velcro shoes, awful, well mostly, although I have Velcro Vans and my PA says they are sick (smart lol). Does dressing undressing not cause you more pain, fatigue. I admire you so much Ben, God bless you mate x

I agree with you Khanya C , I have Carers to help me they come 4 times a day , but I do like to watch your videos Ben not sure if I can transfer myself in and out of bed now like I used to , dont have the BALANCE like I used to that's why I have to use a HOIST NOW
It looks like your transfers are getting easier. Are you working out on a rickshaw? For me, using one has improved my transfers and chair pushing strength.
Great video, as a C6 I find doing it all on the bed far easier. You seem to be struggling with your legs when sat up. Also I always put socks on 1st, helps my jeans slide over the feet easier. I'd never wear elasticated bottoms though, also in 31 years I've never done my laces up. Far easier/quicker to tuck them in on the inside of the foot. Each to their own though. You have the bravery to do these videos, I don't
My level is c6 complete injury but I am unable to shefting because there is no power and my hend I do exarsaiz on daily basis But I am not getting better What have you down for lurning shefting skills please
I'm not sure how you manage toileting but, do you ever have to pull your trousers up while in your chair? My thighs have some muscle as they spasm so I can't lift them up easily. My lower spine is fused so I can't really lean to pull my trousers up. I end up bending over double and leaning forward to hoist them up to my waist. Does anyone have any better suggestions? Thanks.

Nice work. My routine is very similar. Though I do it all from atop the bed. I'm afraid of sliding down while sitting off the side.
That's fair enough man 🤙 it's all about finding what works for you 😄
This so awesome!! A lot of motivation for me. How long did it take u to get to this point?
A good few years but definitely worth it!
continue to provide positive infomation and support Ben....:)
Always will do! Thank you very much 😀

Thanks Allan. Makes life alot easier! I have some smarter trousers with elasticated waists. I'll think a of a way to show this. Pleasure is all mine 😊

Well vans might be the exception to the rule 😋 it's tiring yes, but to me it's worth it. The less I rely on others the better really 😊
Good job my friend 👌💪💪
Thank you very much 😀 appreciate it 🤘
Good job i am from saudi arabia
👍🏼 god bless you and i hope u will get better by the days
Thank you very much 😀
Awesome! Thanks for sharing your skills!

👍 Some 6 pack exercises videos, we all need, wright. Stay strong.
I have non functioning abs but will get someone who does. There's already one on the channel
@@AdaptToPerform
Me neither, I'm quad, but I struggle to keep my belly in, I use a band and I do some breathing exercises pressing it.
Amazing Ben, your videos are very useful..
Thank you very much 😀

It took me three years to get that far. Good job.
Not easy but worth it 👍
Well done
impressive bro
Thank you very much 😀
It is very good

No just regular gym equipment. Good ol'fashion weights
Should offer the uncensored version as a patreon reward tier 😂
Haha 😂😂😂 adapt to perform after hours
😂😂
Hie could you give me some tips on reducing stomach? And any possibilities on gaining mass on legs?

With laces I always find my shoes come off when I transfer if I don't tie them up. Thanks for the tips 😊
@@AdaptToPerform also, try to transfer without brakes on. Moving the chair afters is much easier.
I don't find it too much of an issue to move the chair
Nice one mate 👌
Cheers Peter 😊😊
good demo...
Very good job bud. Hey I read that you have a mitrofanoff. How do you like it so far?
I'm going to be doing a video in the future on it 😊😊😊
Any tips on foot care? That's an area I struggle
Thanks Ben😉👍
😊😊😊
Your level complete?
Incomplete
My level is c6 complete injury but I am unable to shefting because there is no power and my hend
I do exarsaiz on daily basis
But I am not getting better
What have you down for lurning shefting skills please
It's all in the technique my friend. I have done videos on this before. Check them out 😊
Great job! I Get dressed in my chair.
I've tried it as so many do but I just can't do it 😊
Goes to show you how different we all are! Getting dressed in bed was more difficult for me than my chair. Keep up your inspiring work!
Yeah. But at least we can do something for our independence. Thank you very much 😀
Wow and I see both hands are affected as well
Yup!
How do you wear those shoes ? Don't you get legs swollen after sitting for long time
No they're normally ok 😊
what do you do for a living....i am an attorney and must wear dress slacks with button or snap
Online fitness training is my job

I really struggle in the chair. For toileting I have a mitrofanoff so I don't need to undress each time
@@AdaptToPerform Ah...that would save some time and faffing.
It certainly does!
@@AdaptToPerform I've not been given any helpful ideas from OTs. No surprise really.
I'll eventually do a video on my toileting routine. Hopefully you'll get some useful information
