    I'm thinking rinsed can hominy...yellow and white and potatoes maybe on bottom. I like too the broccoli and cauliflower. I like fried some on each side the polenta already made in store kind. I'ved served with grits before.

    I am new to eating only plant based foods. Do you have any quick, no recipe ideas that you can share ? Some of your quick go to ideas. 5 min or less.

    I normally get the water boiling and then add the polenta and spices - then whisk it - I often put a tablespoon of flax powder in 1) for the omega-3 2) to make the polenta stiffer. What are your thoughts?

  • @asharma1875
    @asharma1875 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Made this just now for dinner and it was super yummy - didn't add the nutritional yeast though - I'm sure it'd taste even better with it
    I had it with a side salad of tomatoes corn & olives in an Italian dressing
    Super CHEAP meal & super healthy
    Yum :)
    I used my big coffee mug as one "cup"
    The recipe made plenty - enough for 3-4 servings with a side salad

    I cooked the polenta in the microwave. A single serving of 1/4 cup cornmeal to 1 1/4 cups water and cook on high for 3-4 min until thick . Stir once after one minute. Then no more stirring.

      Li Ly The packet just says polenta. I know you can get instant cook polenta which supposedly cooks faster, but I have never bought that one.

I lost over 50 pounds without even trying too :-) Here is the hummus recipe: th-cam.com/video/IDiovuOcKW8/w-d-xo.html Also, if you have a pressure cooker, I suggest cooking your beans in there :-)
