Thank you for bringing up this topic. I have always been confused with coin prices. I see that I have lots of what I see, but some of the prices are so skyrocketed, and I don't dare to put my coin for that price because I feel like it could be a bit of a rip off ⁉️ Then, I see the same coin for almost free. Then, I just don't post my coin at all. Thank you so much. I really appreciate your very valuable information.🙏❣️

I went to sell my 21 Morgan in pretty damn good condition at RINKOR RARE COINS in Santa Rosa and I think it’ll be the last time I go there to sell them anything, even with premium for a Morgan and spot being at 30 dollars they only offered me 21 dollars!! What the hell? And yet they sell them for 40 dollars each? I’d be better off selling 1 dollar face of dimes?!? It’s unfortunate that coin shops even offer such low prices to people. As I said, last time I’ll ever go there.

    • @CoinHELPu

A 1921 Morgan isn’t an ounce of silver and it’s not a popular date and I bet it was lower grade or condition than you think.

@@CoinHELPu21s are about .77344 of an ounce of silver in 90% but even that comes out to 23 dollars? it was in BU condition at the very very least which I thought would at least make it slightly more desirable. Heck I’d buy up every single 21 Morgan for 25 dollars if someone would sell them for that low? The lowest I’ve seen Morgan’s go for is 30 and those are straight up culls or slicks at times?

When I used to do EBay I would try to have my auctions end around 8pm California which is 11pm Eastern time so I would have the highest number of people watching hopefully. Also I had 3 pieces of white plastic board taped together that I would use to photograph coins so it would be lit well from all sides. It made a huge difference taking photographs.

Thank you Daniel. So many important things you have pointed out. For the eBay Bins, I can definitely see where bins would go for an overall higher price...Reasonable prices, some don't want to bother trying to watch and update bids, some just want it and forget. Being an honest person, growing your base and selling at great prices will get your coins sold. Just like you do. Have a great blessed weekend. Be safe. I know it was allot of behind the scenes work..any more thought for a WhatNot ?

Great advice for prospective sellers. I know for myself if the pictures are blurry, even a tad blurry..I won't bid on the item. I feel like the seller is trying to hide something..taking good pictures does take time but it's not rocket science, in focus pictures can be done.

Daniel after watching your 1942 P Proof video I remembered I had a 1942 Proof set. I found it!! And yes I have a gorgeous 5c 1942 Proof. I’m going to send it in to PCGS and hopefully get a nice high grade. Thank you for all of your videos. What imaging tool do you use?

I agree that an excellent image of the coins will help maximize the final selling price. This is why I buy the coin, not the holder. Sometimes I will buy a raw coin because I suspect the actual coin will look better than the description. Am I happy with the coin I receive? Most of the time I feel the coin I receive is undergraded and worth more than what I paid. For example, I recently won a 1927-S SLQ. Most of the time this date is for sale in AG-G and I wanted a better mid-grade coin. In this case the seller graded the coin as VG. The scan of the coin showed more detail than a coin in VG. When I got the coin it's at least in Fine. But then again, SLQs are difficult to grade, especially Type 1s.

Like you say a lot goes into the desirability of a slabbed coin. The slab, the lustre, the toning, milk spots, black spots, etc, etc, not to also forget the pedigree. These daft price guides on pcgs and ngc just take the highest price sold at auction and a lot of sellers then think that is the grade price.

"You can cheat people and make more money, but we're talking about the honest way of doing it." Oh man, looks like I'm in the wrong place... nah just kidding. 😂
There's some good tips here. The over sensationalized titles are a good thing to advise against. It really does give a bad impression, makes you look like a con artist with clickbait like that. I also never thought about scheduling. Having it end on Sunday is a smart idea. Wonder why I never thought of that 🤔
Anyways, thanks again for all the content!

Good advice for the honest seller! Why do all that when I can go on Whatnot and sell 1921D morgan dollars and sell the coin by saying it was the lowest mintage 1921 coin. I literally heard a whatnot coin dealer say that, and the coin sold for 80% more than it should have. I am kidding, of course. I have way too much respect for myself than to sell like that on Whatnot.

Ive got to several LCS to get bids on some ASE and maples. All of them wanted a 30%-40% haircut with a 30-40% markup. Oh andn their inventory was laughable. Junk silver and some basic morgans. One of them had zero gold and the others had 3 and 5 pieces respectively. I get the fact its a business and they are there to make money. But eventually they will go the way of the dinosaur. Ill stick with Bullion Exchange for buys and pick up 5% cashback to offset the premium or in many cases have it go negative.

    • @CoinHELPu
      @CoinHELPu  วันที่ผ่านมา

This isn’t about dealers or negativity, this is about how to sell your coins for more. If you want dealer privileges then open up a brick and mortar and invest all you got in it, all your free time and money and quit your day job. Then let someone like you come along and tell you how to run it and bash you.

@@CoinHELPu i quite my "day" job 15 years ago. I have no qualms about folks making money, but running an 40% margin going AND going out is just greedy and foolish. Especially when its a low margin, highly liquid product with bigger retailers with far less overhead. its a volume game. thats it. and yeah there's collectable stuff out there and its a fun hobby, but thats about it. A hobby for both the dealer and the collectable. and fwiw, i dont sell unless its converting gold to silver or vice versa, only buy. its our insurance policy. and im not bashing you personally, but many MANY LCS have become basically pawn brokers from what I see.

Then the Nice Gang's Eighth Era doing business with NGC and the US Mint to get the 2024 Silver Eagle with the star privy mark. It's unfortunate that only a couple of TH-camrs have talked about either. The Baltimore show will be going on when the 2024 gold flowing hair coin will go on sale there. Wow! That will be more epic than can be believed! Will the US Mint director be there to sign COAs? Then after the hype for these coins and the medal, talk about the 2026 coinage with CCAC! O'h yeah, isn't DC Comics and Warner Bros will be doing business with the US Mint! Come on guys do I need to start podcasting too?
