Anyone having trouble with 5:29 section i.e not seeing a box. Make sure to turn off isoline editing in the options tab next to display.
Edit: We've all been there with uni deadlines. I know that dreaded feeling. Relax you will get through this.

Make sure to select the "Cube", not the "Subdivision Surface" before you press c to make it editable :)

I never saw the bounding straight boxes outside the polygons and these have been the three most frustrating hours of my 2023 so far... clearly reflected in my pigeon hehe The c4d interface looks different as well, couldn't find any buttons. @@GoFayeGo Funny you mention that, fabulous teacher and fabulous tutorial, but your correct, there are a few things that he is doing, and not mentioning, that it takes someone with at least, some C4D experience to notice. For example, at 5:22, in the Perspective view, he spins the Cube without saying that he is spinning it, or why. In reality, if he had not spun the Cube one face clockwise, he would not have been able to Extrude the Polygon, below in the Right side perspective window, to right as he did, because the Polygon selected would have been facing us, in the Right side perspective window, not the right hand side as it ended up after the spin. No biggie, it's just that, those who are trying to learn, tend to watch every move you make. So as a teacher, it's absolutely key to dictate every step you make.

I can follow blender or c4d tutorials WORD FOR WORD and my computer/software almost always yields waaay different results.
once I subdivided the cube again, when I toggle between subdiv on or off, the shape is waaay messed up when I toggle it on. Any pointers? I'm sure it's user error but..

@11:05 does anyone know why when i enter 0 value in Y size panel, to flatten the polygon, instead of getting a flat surface, like described in the tutorial, i get a hole going towards the front/center of the belly??
