Lmao!! 😆❤ Thank You so Much for getting me laughing, 😅 I'm back home recovering from surgery!! Very Much appreciated the Giggles!! 😸👍👍 Andréa and Critters. ...XxX...
Yeah! She's good. She took topics people are uneasy thinking about & created some really good comedy. She & her mom meeting, the guy "writing it out", good jokes, different angle.
YOU try standup. Its not as easy as you may think. I did it, it takes creativity and a lot of hootspa! Settle down and admire comics. They love what they do and make the world better.
I also have dyslexia and had poor eyesight and my parents had no money to get my eyes checked to get glasses so I was made to sit in the back row and was just exnored.
I'm so sorry to hear that. Our youngest has dyslexia & THANK GOD his AMAZING 2nd grade teacher discovered it. We honestly had no idea, it was masked by auditory processing issues. So complex and gets missed so often. I'm so sorry you fell thru the cracks of "the system". Many Blessings. 🙏
I am so sorry for you. I have numerous friends who have been to college to be a reading specialist and none of them were ever taught anything about dyslexia. That is a problem
@declamatory C'mon now... have a heart. He JUST stated he has Dyslexia. SURELY you're NOT THAT "mean person" as your comment would lead some to believe.
I don't know about the rest of her act, but it's refreshing for a female stand-up to talk about things other than dating, sex, how dumb guys are, how irritating their husbands are, etc. Not enough women stand-ups know how to cover a whole world of potential topics for their material other than their sex lives.
Dyslexia, which I also have, is specific to letters only. Dyscalculia, which I do NOT have, is specific to numbers only. They're not the same thing. ~ APRIL LIPKE
Well I hope your mother backpedaled real fast and cared more about getting you help after what you told her! But that _was_ funny how you had accidentally mixed it up.
I think you overdid it on the Ritalin maybe sit back and have some depressants that will dial it right down. To a maybe funnier less hectic pace. Giving me Jerry Lewis vibes…he used to do this too by the time we finished the movie I was climbing the curtains and the walls.
@micahjones3695. What a cruel thing to say. Obviously you have never had a loved one with dyslexia because this dear woman is just trying to find humor in the pain that she had to go through growing up in the public school system with dyslexia. My daughter is dyslexic but praise be to God, we homeschooled her and took her to specialized tutors and spent tens of thousands of dollars in order for her to be able to read. She still struggles with numbers and this act would be hilarious for her so shut your trap... Once she was able to read, We did put her in school and she graduated high school with a 4.0 and is now in college with one semester left was a 3.5 or above. Don't make comments about things being funny or not funny when you obviously have no clue about them. Good day
@micahjones3695 In addition to that, I would say I feel so blessed that though we had to use savings, we had the means to help our daughter when so many people do not and it destroys their lives
micahjones3695, she took an incredibly difficult childhood and turned it into humor. Uncomfortable? Sure. That’s what good comics do. They look square at the elephant and lay out the coffee service. Are you the one who only laughs if it hurts the girl next to you? If it’s not your taste, scroll on down or hang out with the guys in the middle school bathroom.
There are a lot of people who have to live day-to-day with the different disabilities that you mentioned, and trust me to them, Your act is not funny! I believe this is the first time I’ve given someone a thumbs down on this comedy show.
...and this is the first time I've given a dry bar commenter (Yes, YOU @margaretcarter1288) a thumbs down. The comedian was hilarious - don't blame her if YOU don't get it!
Very funny and I can relate to everything she said except the hair cut style and yes, my mother did cut my hair too. After I graduated sixth grade I asked for a flat top haircut and I got one. I even remember putting some pink sticky paste on my hair to keep it standing up. I'm just glad it didn't turn my hair pink. 😊🧓
Comfortable and simple comedy 😅. Appreciated.
Super funny! Not dumb at all. Very self-aware and humble, and she is able to make lemonade from the lemons that life gave her.
That last line was priceless!
This was very good. For those not dyslexic, they probably missed the humour.
Lmao!! 😆❤
Thank You so Much for getting me laughing, 😅
I'm back home recovering from surgery!!
Very Much appreciated the Giggles!! 😸👍👍
Andréa and Critters. ...XxX...
The audience wasn't getting a lot of her humor. Very creative. I swear to dog. Hilarious!
Love clean comedy. New to Dry Bar.
Yeah! She's good. She took topics people are uneasy thinking about & created some really good comedy. She & her mom meeting, the guy "writing it out", good jokes, different angle.
A little bit dumb, a little bit smart and a whole lota beautiful!!!
"Whole lota beautiful"? Why? Just because she has a vagina? 🤔
The audience was so silent, that for a minute I thought it was a TED talk
It sorta was!
And a much-needed one, at that.
"I was trying to write '"I have dyslexia'" - one of the best lines I have heard in a long time
Really enjoyed this set. It's always nice to find a new-to-me comic I find funny.
Same, I'm really glad I found this
Really funny girl! dead crowd though...
I also have dyslexia, that paragraph joke was so relatable. I use to do that to :)
She is creative with her jokes. Original subjects great delivery
The audience needs do lighten up. This was solid.
This is really good
I swear to dog 😂

Obviously not dumb.
aixelsyd is a superpower.
No one said it would be easy.
I think she laughed at her jokes more than the crowd did.
The joke with her and her mom meeting at the restaurant was kinda funny
Fr
Loved this comic!😂
One of the really funny comedians on this chanel. LOL
really good set. very clever. would love to hear more from this comedian!
Mixing up numbers is dyscalculia. I legit learned that from degrassi
I pretended to know it and used the Latin word for it..took me years to realise I was right all along.😂
Shout out to Drake
"I'M A SPRING CHICKEN MOMMY!!"
Nice! 🤣

@@declamatory he meant, "ignored." ❤

The part about the bowl cut was funny
Loved it 😂
I age in reverse so actually, I’m chronologically dyslexic.
she good. i like her
Something's off, not sure if timing or a bit tight. But I hope she keeps going, she will get better if she does.
🥱 that was painful

Badda boom
Her jokes are actually good , they’re funny but it’s her delivery that makes it a little off

I think early on with diagnoses for older people they didn't get into distinction between the two like they do now.
Why isn’t anyone vertically dyslexic?
My Dixie joke from the 80s
Haha 😂
How do you get the OTPs correct?
Funny and GR8 looking
Wusup with all these bots in the comments
I don't know, what IS up with them, Comrade? 🧐
I thought I was the only one that noticed the inconsistency. DBC be hiring fake comments now?

Very funny and very pretty...
Great material. Needs delivery adjustment. Audience was not that great.
Why are the comments more funnier than her jokes 😒☺️😁😁😁
"More funnier"?
Her problem bad timing. Slow down. Let the funny happen.
OMG is GMO to a Dixie. Now that’s funny!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ok
I know why they call it Drybar comedy. Everyone drinks the bar dry while trying to make it thru her jokes 💀

😂😂😂 Brutally honest. You're funnier than the comic!!😂😂😂😂
Not very funny. Valiant effort
I think the serious audience didn’t help. She was solid.
@@Imfromtheyear3452ahhh…. “Sure”
@@jetfocus1152 not a very creative reply by you. Valiant effort though.

Yeah. She wasn't funny. Very predictable
Meh 🥱😴

This is terrible
She wasnt very good. Timing was bad. Very predictable jokes. Awful
It's not funny it's sad. :(

I applaud her for having the courage to do comedy about her dyslexic experience
