This was my first time seeing this version of this movie and I loved it just as much as the one with Julie Garland in it and both made me cry I give this picture a 10
I love classic movies so much. I am glad I came across this one. I have seen the title but never watched any of the versions. It always tickles me when I come across an original that was remade and sometimes renamed as something else. I will be watching it and think...hey this is so familiar! Or...hey! I didnt know the version I know is a remake! Like The Secret life of Walter Mitty. Or That the sitcom Mr. Belvedere was based on a movie with Clifton web called "Sitting Pretty." The classics are full of surprises and seldom disappoint.
Old movies have a sweetness and grace long lost.
Frederick March was such a fine actor. He plays drunk (and funny) very well. Also drunk and tragic...
