Every episode I see I’m more and more impressed with how shiny you have managed to get the paintwork. I really look forward to your weekly episodes keep up the good work…
An alternative would be stainless steel braided with AN fasteners spendy, but you should be fine with Introcar replacements. Keep up the fine work there maestro!! Yeah ya gotta keep up the maintenance on these cars.
The car is coming along great.your doing a great job and i look forward to your uploads each week.you inspire me to do bits and pieces on my 1989 spirit.hope this message aint deleted like the one i just done.no idea why.
Excellent work, Paul. Every job you perform in this series future-proofs the car for safe reliable use for years to come. One observation: the first hose you replaced in this video is fed through an open square-shaped metal bracket at the top. Be careful the hose does not chafe on the edges of that bracket - it looks awfully close from the camera angle. Well done, my friend.
Armaflex refrigeration pipe work lagging is available in all bore and OD sizes, from 6mm upwards. I quick squirt of baby talc down the bore, helps it on.
I hope those engineers and assembly designers could see your repair process. Did they see in their minds what repairs might be like? The engineers...engineered. At assembly, the whole engine and transmission unit was out in the open, all the parts were easy to get to and put together. Then...they mated the unit into the monocoque. Simple...for them. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that a full hydraulic service job like this at Rolls-Royce or, say, Tyrell's Classic Workshop (I enjoy that channel...) requires dumping out the subframe/engine cradle/whatever to make it "easy" to see and work on everything. Hence...the labour charges. As you've clearly demonstrated, I'd say you're the owner this car should've had in the first place. Twenty-eight pounds per hour of labour back in the day? Ah...the good old days' prices seemed so inexpensive.🤣 Surely it's at least ten times that now... Mahalo for another...thought-provoking video. Aloha.
Another classic job ✅️ ticked off... I wonder how many of those reservoir covers suvived? A bit like clear fuse box lids, which disappear out of classic car engine bays 🤔☝️
Another great video smashing the myth that "normal" people cant work on these beautiful cars! Those pìpe covers looked suspiciously like plumbers pipe insulation. It may be made from something special but probably not lol. Hope you never paid too much for them!
Absolutely a keeper. As the owner of two ✌ of these old-school Rolls_Royce vehicles. One being the rare last of line Silver spirit mark IV. What ever money 💵 you poor into these cars, you will never get a return on your investment. So keep it and enjoy it !......😊
So tempting to ignore the odd leak and bit of seepage on an old car, but yours wants for nothing. Great work!
@@markdavissolarradio I was ignoring it 😂 but then my OCD kicked in
great effort big man, you are a great role model, and you resisted the temptation to mention the jaguar ad, well done
Thanks for showing us this. So many RR owners will follow your work as a guide in the future im Sure... better than a Haynes Manual!

Armaflex lagging from climate centre etc👍
Yet another good job done. That engine sounds wonderful ticking over, when you were checking the pipes for any leaks.
Great work Paul 👏
