I doubt we will ever see them clash because the hive mind probably avoids them since most of the thousand sons are made of sand and dust so the tyranids get no benefit if they eat them thats also why they avoid chaos and necrons
I dont really get why they went with the thousands sons as the twist chaos faction of the game, not because I dont like them or anything but canonically speaking, arent they the one traitor legion that gets weakened the most by the Tyranids due to their over reliance on warp sorcery and what not?
True, but to be fair this was a splinter fleet so anti warp effect was smaller compared to a hive fleet. Even hive fleet sometimes cant prevent warp manifestations, like in Baal. Fall of Cadia gave an advantage to Chaos
Hence why Rubrics aren't constantly reanimating at a moment's notice. The only time we see the TS at their normal level of power is at the end when Imurah flips the pylon and switches off the Shadow in the Warp.

In my mind, a Thousand Sun fight should feel more akin to fighting an Invader in Dark Souls or an Elite Zealot in Halo, an absolute equal who will drop you in a moment if you slip up. With the parry, dodge and expanded melee combos in SM2, i was hoping for some serious 2 heart-pumping duels with Chaos Marines, but they don't really offer it, leaving their inclusion in both SM1 and 2 abit bland IMO. In both instances, they don't really hold a candle to their respective Orks or Tyranids.
