I’m two handed. I started last year. Tried bowling one handed to start and could generate hook. I’m 30. My buddies told me if they were just starting they would do two handed so I did. Just shot 654 for my best night ever last night. Your videos helped me understand bowling a lot. Appreciate it.
I have bowled one handed for 30 years. After seeing a friend of mine try two handed, I watch a ton of videos, including this one, to understand how it works. Things I struggle with are keeping the shoulder down, speed (only 14mph) and keeping the ball close to my body and ankle on release. I love this video and all it has to offer!
I started one-handed when I was in high school and into college. Didn't play from college to this last summer(15ish years later). A couple hockey related injuries made it so two-handed is my new bowling style. Absolutely loving it! Your reviews, tips, and joy in the sport has been wonderful to watch and learn from.
Was one handed, thumbless the first 20 years of my life. Had a real bad injury to my dominant wrist and couldn't use one hand due to very limited Range of Motion and overall less wrist strength that I couldn't get back. Went two-handed, sucked for about a year, something finally clicked half-way through my first league. Now I am consistently in the top of our league against some very high scratch bowlers. Wish I would've learned initially as a kid, maybe I would be on TV already if I did. xD
I one handed all my life my first 8 years of bowling as a kid, now im 15 and i switched to 2 handing after my thumb kept on getting ripped apart, and my coaches know nothing about how to 2 hand, thank you so much.
I’m 65 and starting to get arthritis in my fingers , been bowling since I was 5, I thought I would switch to two handed this week or at least try it to see if this helps, your video was real helpful, any other suggestions I would be appreciated. Thank you!
I have never bowled two handed until about 3 months ago and I am 15. I now average around a 210 compared to the 80-90 range bowling one handed before. Practice helps the most!
@@aidenjaxlol Dumbest response I've ever heard. 1-handers always butt-hurt bc a new technique emerged with astounding success and they are pissed bc the 1-handed game took them so long to get good at. Even amongst 1-handers, there are profoundly different styles, and none would be considered the "easy way out" just bc they're different. Dick Fosbury was roundly criticized when he brought about the "Fosbury Flop" in high-jumping. Belmo heard people laugh at him and criticize him even in his youth when he was developing his 2-handed game. They laughed right up until he started kicking all their asses and setting one PBA record after another, and that continues to this day. 2-handers aren't successful bc they are taking performance enhancers. Your comparison to steroids is downright ignorant. Everything a 1-hander has to learn and concentrate on, a 2-hander does too. It's just different. Finally, if being a 2-hander was some automatic cheat code that makes all of them so much better, then they'd win every single time. As has been the case this year and many in the past, that ain't happening all the time. Belmo is amazing, as is Simo, but just look at how long Norm Duke was dominant or at what Tackett is doing this season. After years of observing and contemplating my feelings about bowling styles (I've been on both sides), I decided that telling somebody which style he chooses to utilize is either right or wrong, good or bad, or anything of the sort is kinda like telling a man how to drink his whiskey.....just don't do it and stay in your lane. Mind your own damned business and enjoy it in whichever way suits you most (unless you put coke in a really nice small batch bourbon.....that's just rude).
@@ronkoontz8976 Not sure if you'll get this message, since it's been a while since you posted it. I have the same issue with my thumb. I was wondering how it's going, how are you bowling. Do you recommend two handed? I've been a one hander for decades.
@@deadpolymers3416 this is good to hear. I’m 42 and a solid bowling but have been slumping this year and dealing with hand pain. Just tired of the thumb and drill and pain. I’m fairly athletic so I think I can do it quickly. The game knowledge should carry over for a quick switch I hope. Not to mention cheaper and easier drills lol. Question thou did you have all your balls redone or get one and just slowly convert or is it best to just go all in?
I started two hand bowling about two years ago. I use to bowl one hand with no thumb. I found it hard on my wrist. I saw Belmo on TV and instantly changed. At first people made fun of me. My game has developed since starting and I now get alot of respect. Thank you for the awesome video!!
Started one-handed, then I bought my first reactive ball. Got my thumb stuck a few times in it, trying to get used to my new ball. I threw my ball in the air few times because of it and once in the alley next to me. Was so embarassed... Then I try one hand but with no thumb. It was difficult for me to control the hook as I put too much hook and not enough speed + it hursts my wrist after several games. This is why I am now playing 2 handed, which works better for me. But I still struggle with the speed : too much hook, not enough speed. I'll try to accelerate my approach like Jimoo is suggesting. Thanks a lot for the video ! Very helpful !
So I just started my first bowling league ever and have always bowled with two fingers at first I was not really using both my hands. I could not really grasp how to release the ball for consistency and this video step by step really helped me out. Right after watching it I was able to go to league and used what I learned from here and hit above my average for all three games. Thank you very much for this!
I bowled one handed for years. I didn’t pick up bowling again until a few years ago. My shoulder started giving me issues so I switched to two hand a little over a year ago and it felt great. I shoot all my spares two handed for consistency and use a plastic ball. Works great and my 10 pins are no problem.
I have bounced around TWICE. I started one hand when just casually bowling, I transitioned into two-handed when I figured out how to make more hook and was intrigued by the uniqueness of the style and even started my first league two-handed. Surprisingly, I went back to one handed but thumbless based off a dare from my bowling buddy. I found more balance, more control and still the same hook potential as a two-hander and was inspired by Tom Daugherty.
I actually started 2 handed when I was little because the pro shop didn't have drills small enough for my little fingers lol. But at the time 2 handed bowling was treated more as a handicap for little kids like me. Around age seven I was "moved up" to one handed bowling and I've been there since.
Growing up I started out one handed but without the thumb like Tom Daugherty. Then when I got more into bowling and got out of using house balls I tried doing one handed with the thumb. I kept practicing but wasn't getting comfortable or getting the RPM's I wanted. So that's when my cousins convinced me to do two handed since I was used to no thumb. I found to be more consistent the more I practiced and was getting more revolutions using two handed. Thank you for this breakdown video, definitely found this very helpful!
I’m switching to two handed this year due to a previous thumb injury that’s coming back to haunt me 🥺. Finally averaging 190+ and BOOM thumb hurts every time I bowl. Time to start fresh to continue doing what I love 💯
I’m getting back into the sport after not bowling for years. I had torn the bicep of my bowling arm. Even after surgery, my arm is still not 100%. I was so glad to recently learn about two handed bowling. Thanks for your videos, very helpful!
I'm generally around a 210 average when bowling 1 handed, switched to 2 handed at the end of last season as I felt I was pretty capped at what I was capable of 1 handed. I'm a pretty low rev player and feel I struggled on oily lanes getting any movement at big tournaments, where with a normal house shot I was alright. I also switch to two handed as a new challenge and it makes bowling more fun for me trying to learn something new. I shot about 531 week 1 of bowling this year, then shot 675 week 2 prebowling. Had my new high 2 handed game of 248 and shot like 212 and 217 my other. Looking forward to the challenge of getting better 2 handed and hoping to average 200 by the end of the year!
more two handed tips please. i’ve been a 2 handed since i was 4 but i bowled lefty with no fingers in the whole until i was 12. i picked bowling back up a year ago and i’m now 18 and have started bowling righty with two fingers. i love these vids they’re so helpful
I started 1 hand bowling back in HS. However my coach back then told me go heavy weights so he encouraged me to get a 15/16LB bowling ball. At the time I probably weighed 105lbs always had a trouble throwing the balls due to my wrist breaking. One day my buddies and I were hanging out at the lanes having fun and we all started 2 hand bowling. I then realized that I was seeing so much more hook that my bowling balls have never done before. I stuck with 1 hand bowling but then took a break. 6 years later and still having the same issue with my wrist breaking. For fun I 2handed bowled and still saw an improvement I decided to stick with 2 hand bowling and I feel that was the move! Still learning and improving!
I was a one hander for a good while when I would bowl but man oh man I would just hurt my wrist. I just switched to 2 handed like a month ago and I like it. I’m a beginner at it still. Watching this video really gets me ready to go bowling again! I will apply these techniques and see what I like most. Thank you!
I’ve been bowling for a while and just recently went from one handed (right) to two handed (left). I definitely enjoy two handed and it just makes sense to me. I wish it would be acceptable to switch from left to right so I can get that 7 pin down lol.
I have been bowling since four and at that time I bowled two handed. At 6 through 10, I was bowling one handed until I was at North Carolina to see some family and my dad told me to bowl two handed again. After that I have become a much better bowler at the age of thirteen and slowly working on getting more consistent
I've been a 1 handed bowler for years(no thumb). My highest book average was 188. I was told by the anchorman on my last team to try 2 handed bowling. At first,my average took a tumble.By the seventh week of 2 handed bowling,my average started to rise. Last week, during league bowling,I managed to average 193 for the night(196,166,218).I am 3 months away from my 62nd birthday, and quite athletic.
Keep shooting this kind of informative content in this channel! The spare drill is also important for two-handed bowlers too. Hope this kind of content will assist more bowlers in the world. Love you guys!
I have been working my behind off as a one-handed bowler. The big problem I have been trying to overcome is the fact that my wrist is weak due to an injury long ago (missing some bones). I have limited mobility in my wrist and struggle to keep it cupped on my backswing. The result is a lot of pain and very little revs. I have managed to work my average to around 200 on a house shot despite my limitations. I was bowling with a two hander and realized that it might resolve my issues so I gave it a try. I have a long road ahead to get back to my average but I have a ton of revs and a great hook with no pain! It is something I thought I would share because I have not heard it called out that it could help people with wrist issues bowl that nice hook into the pocket. Thanks for all of your videos guys, they have been very helpful. Now if you can send Belmo here to give me a few tips that would be great, thanks. :)
I bowl 2 handed as a left handed bowler I bowl 2 handed for awhile now and it helps me out lot I use 15 ponder bowling balls but I did started one handed but 2 handed helped me get better with one handed I work mostly on my speed and I bowl one handed just for fun
Started bowling two handed a week and a half ago. My previous average was around 90, right now it's 120.25! My new overall highscore is 175 now as well.
Holy. You are identical to me currently I was averaging 108 with a high of 173 now I average 126 and high of 182 I'm on my 5th trip of bowling self learning 2 handed and my wrists and forearms thank me lol
This is a great video. I used to be a One bowler handler too. Jason b is my favorite bowler as well now I’m a two handed bowler now it’s a lot smoother and more efficient.
I just started bowling two handed just this year and I was bowling with one hand but I'm doing better with two handed. I'm 29 about to be 30 in September 5th. My brother is name is Thomas and he does bowling leagues and he's doing great and he told me to try two handed and I actually do better with two hands. I like bowling and I watching your TH-cam videos
I’ve bowled one handed my whole life but I went with my friend who bowls two handed last week. After trying out two handed it felt weird, but I was able to hook and my wrist didn’t hurt at all for once even though his ball is 3lbs heavier. I definitely want to practice two handed more.
I’ve been a one hander my whole life, although I tried two-handed a few times at the end of my practice days. My high game with two hands is a 240 game. It definitely isn’t as easy as it looks.
I'm one-handed. I've tried 2-handed, but I can't quite figure out how to do the approach in any sort of fluid motion, so I just kinda walked up to the line and tossed it from there. It just feels completely unnatural to me for whatever reason, but I definitely see why it's popular. I can throw a hook one handed with a conventional grip alright, but I have no real consistency with it.
I'm a very large guy but never liked the feel of a heavy house ball with the huge holes, and the lighter ones didn't fit my hands at all. I couldn't get my hand underneath a house ball to generate any revs or hook whatsoever. Switching to two hands let me get comfortable using balls 14+ lbs and I just threw my first ever 200 game a week or so after switching to two hands. It was like my 3rd or 4th outing trying it. Before that my best game was maybe 117. I'm mind blown by the improvements it's made to my game. I was bowling straight, doing badly, and hurting my hand in the process. Now my hand hurts a good deal less and I'm bowling almost 100 over my straight scores. I'm sure if I had a coach I could have figured one handed bowling out eventually, but this is just so much more intuitive for me as a self taught bowler who just picked up the sport. I'm having a blast now and can't stay away from the alley lol.
Been bowlin 1 handed my entire bowling life. Ended up taking 16 years off and now comin back for leagues. I’m making the switch to 2 handed because I’ve lost all consistency with my big hook, big back swing. Def appreciate this video, heading out today for the first time at tryin this out and hoping for more consistency 💪💪
started as one hand bowling when i was about 8 and bowled for about 7 years but was never able to average over 200 so stopped bowling and came back 2 years ago trying 2 handed bowling and excelled tremendously. average 223 and just shot my 2 800 series last week.
I started bowling ~3.5 years ago and for the first 1.5 years I bowled 1 handed and switched to 2 handed 2 years ago. Sometimes during practice I would try out a few shots 2 handed and joked about switching to 2 handed. One day I decided to make the switch but still decided to shoot my spares 1 handed because I can’t get my spare ball to go straight enough. Right now I am switching to shooting my spares 2 handed so that I have 1 consistent way of releasing the ball instead of 2 totally different ways. The reason I switched was because bowling 2 handed I get more hook and revs and I could barely hook the ball 1 handed and maybe a little bit because of Belmo.
This is great, I'm over 50 bowled league from like 7 years old until 16, then just for fun and random leagues depending on my work schedule, but developed arthritis in my thumb joints along with it being slightly dislocated according to the MRI. Never though of bowling without a thumb, this might give me a change to bowl again.
Just gave two-handed bowling after coming back to the sport about 15 years later. Really enjoyed it. Getting a new ball drilled and was wondering if inserts are still used for this style. Still working my way through the best ball to start with. Have had Ebonite Big Time and Jaguar in the bag for years….yeah, it’s been a while. Lol.
I am a speed dominant 1 handed bowler currently trying to become a 2 handed bowler. I've been bowling for 11 years, and have recently started bowling on a few sport patterns. The reason I want to make this switch is simply because I have to play a very finite and direct line on even modified house shots dispite trying everything I can to put revs on the ball. I've gotten better with my accuracy 2 handed, but my ball speed is really slow (about 14 to 15 mph while 1 handed is 16 to 18 mph), so I have to find a way to increase ball speed so I don't have to loft the gutter woth my weakest ball on a house shot
I'm fairly verse when it comes to my bowling. I'm slowly but surely getting better but when I bowl for strikes I do two handed, but when I bowl spares I do one handed.
i use to bowl 1hander and was amazing! i ended up breaking my wrist twice in 2 years and just cant swing 1handed anymore. I made the switch to 2hand and absolutely love it and love i can play again
Just threw my first two handed game ever. Got a strike in the second frame and 5 total throughout the game. I never really get much for revolutions one handed and seeing this difference really gives my ball more action.
I usually bowl without my thumb. But my son got into bowling, and he likes to the 2 hander style. I am currently making the switch. Like the video, and it help break it down, and made it easy for my brain to process.
I decided to start 2 handed right as my league ended. It was at our banquet and I can't wait to continue to practice it. At this moment I still have my thumb in the ball since it was originally meant for one handed. I'm going to use this for now and I may try removing that hole.
I’m 15, and I’ve really been getting into bowling for roughly 6 months, but I’ve been told that I’ve came along a lot faster than most people, and I have a pretty good release. I’m on a bowling team, and I was told that if I can get more practice in, I can beat my teammates that have been on the team for almost 5 years. This can really help me. I’m a two-hander,and I’ve tried one-handed before, and it didn’t work out, which is why I’m where I’m at now 😁
Used to bowl one handed, but never could get the ball to hook, but then had a wrist injury that made me transition to two handed, and it feels comfortable, so I just stuck with this style.
Thanks for this video! I recently got into bowling seriously, and have been trying to tune my 2-handed game, and after watching this video, my releases have been more consistent and comfortable than before. More vids of Jimoo please!
I currently a 1 handed bowler. I started 1 handed when I was about 8 and was committed to bowling. I was not getting the speed and curve that I was thinking, this got me really mad and then I started to mess around with my form and how I threw the ball. I accidentally found 2 handed bowling and I found that I was getting quick and better results. Then I hit a Plato, I started to look up why and found a tutorial and fix my form, I figured that I needed to move left and throw more of an angle then I did before form 1 handed bowling. Now I am 11 and have became a way better bowler and bowled my first 250 last Sunday I think if you and young and don’t feel confident and comfortable 1 handed bowling you should try 2 handed bowling.
I’m a one hand two finger bowler. Just played a game with a two handed bowler and they were easily able to create way more hook than I was. Now interested in learning two handed
I've not tried two handed yet! but i have bowled left and right handed due to injuries, I am however going to start out on the two handed approach shortly so this vid has been worth watching.
I've been a 2 finger bowler forever. But after a motorcycle accident my left leg with a titanium rod in it is making me think of going two handed. I'm upper body strong so this video has influenced me a lot. I have a plastic ball fir 10 pin. And a storm for hooking. I'm going to try this when I take my wife to bowl this weekend. Thanks for the content
34 year old here. Started bowling this year one-handed. Wasn’t working with my body, so tried two-handed Monday with my coach. Day later I bowled a personal best 196 at league bowling only two-handed. Increased revs by ~125 overnight with no change to ball speed. Really crazy. Also my aim feels somehow better two-handed
I was born in 88 so when I was a pre-teen getting into bowling 2 handed didnt quite exist yet. When I came back to the game in 2023 the decision to play 2 handed was easy, but the learning isnt easy! Fun though! Nice details in the video yall
Have been watching your content for a while now, have enjoyed watching the different styles and all of the various balls you've reviewed. But a thumb issue has forced me to convert to 2H this year, so this series is greatly appreciated!
I'm a 71-year-old Veteran. I bowl in a Veterans league. I hadn't bowled in 30 years before about three months ago. It's a whole different game with the oil on the lanes and all. I bought a weighted ball and I got to be ok, up to a 501 three game series. But, I developed a bowlers bump on the second finger of my right hand and looked it up. It's a tendon stretch. I'm going to try two-handed to take some of the stress off that finger. We'll see how it goes.
I recently completed chemotherapy, I am blessed and cancer free now but, I have lost a lot of weight and strength. I can’t generate the speed and revs I once did. This tutorial was was helpful and has convinced me to switch from one to two hands. Please tell me where I can get more two handed content.
I’ve bowled one handed for decades and struggle with a decent hook. Today I have 2 handed a shot and was amazed at the difference. Score dropped as I was getting accustomed - definitely less comfortable starting out. But going to keep this up and see how it goes.
For a straighter ball ive moved my fingers from ring and middle to pinky and middle forcing my hand placement to be more on the back/outside rather than inside, also use this method for a right-curve on my one handed spare ball
I'm 47, and bowled 1-hand righty from the ages of 4 - 42. Then went to 1-hand lefty due to a right wrist injury... back to 1-hand righty after 2 years... then 2-hand lefty after 1 year when the right wrist began hurting again. I've done a little bit of everything.
Great info!!! Just the video I was looking for. After a 40+ yr layoff (i am almost 70), I came back to bowling about 2 months ago. Back then I threw finger tip, bowled on leagues and had about 175-180 avg. Now, after 2 months I went from about 125 up to 170 avg. I am getting 50% strikes but my spares need more improvement. I am using a 14# ball bc i don't have the strength to throw a 15 or 16# ball. Watching my practice vids i can see my wrist is open way before the bottom of my swing. A I was wondering which way to go....- drop down to a 13#, or try 2 handed? My second question would be hard to answer definitively but just a rough guess: in my situation about how long do you think it would take for me to learn 2 handed, weeks? months? or don't even try it bc you can't teach old dogs new tricks 😀😀
I'm a one handler bowler, but watching my son training with two hands, i had to give it a try and i gotta say i'm more comfortable and my arm and shoulder suffer less doing the two handed style.
so i just started 2 handed because i could never get enough hook with one handed and was just all over the place…got a 14lb tropical surge from my pro shop and definitely hook a lot better now but i’m struggling with hooking to early instead of hitting that 1/3 pocket majority of the time i brooklyn strike or get 1 spare…but overall better than i was ever doing 1 handed lol.
Regarding fit, I just switched to deeper grips from fingertips like Jimoo (half way between first and second knuckle)...I feel like I am able to match my speed and revs much better this way.
I bowl 2 handed and started 2.5 years ago. First started with 1 handed no thumb and went 2 handed and it had more stability and comfortability. I go back to 1 handed [with thumb] to see what's wrong with certain parts of my game. Recently, i've been working on my back swing. The back swing for 1 handed had me muscle and pull the ball backward and my timing was waaaaay to quick with my arm speed compared to having a more gravitational approach. Been shooting 600+ series in league, but there is always something to improve on and shot my first 748 series 2 weeks ago.
I started one handed with thumb, and was woeful. i couldn't clear my thumb in time and I couldn't throw it straight to save my life. My friend showed me two handed without the thumb, and i still couldn't get my left hand off in time. Then I used the best of both worlds- one handed with no thumb... And this is what i am using now, so much better and so much more control
I started bowling in mid-70s before the two-handed was in style. I stopped bowling for about 36 yrs, then started again 5 yrs ago using a one handed with my right hand. How difficult is it to convert from one hand to two hands at my later age of early 70? I bowl in a league for pleasure and would like to try the two hands to see if I could improve my current 165 average. Thanks for showing the basics of the two handed bowling and the pro and con of it. Any advise for older folks, to switch or not to switch?
I switched to two handed 2 years ago after countlessly ripping apart my thumb from my aggressive one handed approach, decided it was time to switch and taught myself through trial and error, been improving and currently running a 228 in my league for 42 games. I feel no pain in my wrist anymore since converting and my game is looking better than ever
This sounds amazing. How old are you? I’m 42 and I’m tired of wrist pain and trying to figure out fit grip pressure and tape through the years it’s getting old. I figure going two handed will be a fresh way to change up bowling as it’s getting frustrating as of late. Was bowling amazing last year and on the up and up with 2 800’s and 300’s on a few week span. Then after that summer Ives been in decline and it’s been pain in my hand. I feel if I’m going to do it I have to commit. And not switch back and forth. Assume you got a call drilled first or did you throw existing stuff in practice for awhile then get one?
@@chriswebbtech Im 40 and switch to two handed bowling 2 months ago and never looked back. It help with my wrist pain tremendously. I practiced with my then current lay out on my ball that had thumb holes. I decided to go 2 handed layout with no thumb after about a week. My advice is to practice your release with a light house ball that way you can develop muscle memory on the proper way to release as a two hander. I found it easier to start off with lighter balls then my normal 15 pounders. You can find 2 handed layout for your balls on youtube. just search it.
@@ericpadilla2454 yeah I just started making myself so two handed. I got the form down now better. I had problems getting the ball outside the first day. Now I got that solved by getting my shoulders down and left one pointing to target. Much better. Not I just got to get the release points going. Def. Think I’m gonna switch full time. It’s fun again. And I struck once without hitting head pin. Wtf. Lol. Want to get a new ball but I think I need to keep practicing a bit more till I get more consistent release so I can get a somewhat decent PaP reading for a two handed drill. Thanks for your insight. At 42 my hip and ass is feeling it but I know I’m using those muscles like I should. Gonna be like working out should go away after getting it trained ;). No back pain so that’s good! Lol
I have not tried two-handed bowling, but it does intrigue me. I already have a 5 step approach, so it might not seem too difficult to try at least a few shots
i think it’s awesome because i used to watch this channel extremely often, however i took a small break from bowling. i’ve gotten back into it recently and tonight i got compared to jimoo himself. and i was honestly shocked because jimoo is light years better than me lol. love the content guys!
I stop using my thumb 4 years ago and my average jumped 30pins and bowled my first 300. Even thow I don't use my thumb I'm not a two handed bowler. My approach is the same as if my thumb was in. Yes with out my thumb in my ball speed dubbled and my revs went crazy up.
I believe i might be a two hander. I normally throw 1 handed, but after my thumbhole was drilled too big, and I couldn't get it fixed because my Pro shop was closed, not wanting to leave before I had even really began, I decided to throw it 2 handed. it just cliqued! I felt more in control, I had a significantly higher rev rate and it just felt amazing!
Ive tried both, like two handed more. Weirdly enough i throw 18mph one handed and 15.5-16.5 two handed unlike most two handers it seems they throw faster with 2 😂. I just find two handed much more comfortable, much easier to stay underneath the ball for me and generate controllable hook
I just started bowling recently, I've been bowling 2 handed since I started. It just feels way more natural to me. But I bowl two handed with thumb which doesn't seem to be that common
I've been bowling one handed all my life and I try to do two handed but it didn't work out hopefully I'm gonna go back to this video again to rethink it
im quite young and bowling for me was a fun way to play ive bowled with 2 hands when i first started and then moved to one handed which i got used to for a year until when didn't use bumpers anymore and then my dad taught me that the ball he used hook by itself and so he taught me how to do so and started using heavier balls which for me i kinda liked and then i used my own bowling style like 2 handed bowlers so when i saw this video i was trying to see if i could control the ball better
More Vids Please From Jimoo! he the best teacher on the Net for 2 hand Instruction! & I predict a future Champ! Go Jimoo! stay Loose . You already Got the Mojo magic
I’m two handed. I started last year. Tried bowling one handed to start and could generate hook. I’m 30. My buddies told me if they were just starting they would do two handed so I did. Just shot 654 for my best night ever last night. Your videos helped me understand bowling a lot. Appreciate it.
Same here, im 15 and also do the two handed. My dad thinks its wierd but i got a 691 at league the otherday so i think its fine 😂
Do you guys have any tips to increase ball speed without changing weight?
@@porkisthebestmeat8955 move your feet back on the approach and speed up your approach towards the foul line. This can help increase ball speed
@@K0WA1SK1 ok thank you
@@K0WA1SK1 any tips for sore arms or do I have to just fix my timing. My arms are sore after only like 3 or 2 games.
So basically you sucked one handed so you switched 22 handed and you got better... That's because you're cheating you dumb ass
Thank you!
I’m going to try 2 handed ,I’m 74 and in good condition ,this will be interesting..thanks for the good video.
I have never bowled two handed until about 3 months ago and I am 15. I now average around a 210 compared to the 80-90 range bowling one handed before. Practice helps the most!
Just shows that's 2 handed is easier smh everyone taking the easy way out.
@@aidenjaxlol why would you limit yourself if you’re trying to win?
@@harrisonfithian9397 same reason I don't use steroids when I work out. It's the easy way out.
@@aidenjaxlol if it was the easy way out there wouldn’t be so much more moving parts to the shot making it much harder to perfect than 1 hand
I was 1 handed for like 30 years, just had to switch to 2 hands, due to thumb issues. Love the videos guys keep it up.
Kudos
@@ronkoontz8976 Not sure if you'll get this message, since it's been a while since you posted it. I have the same issue with my thumb. I was wondering how it's going, how are you bowling. Do you recommend two handed? I've been a one hander for decades.
I'm over 40... I've always bowled one handed, but because of this video, I might try it during the holidays!
I switched to 2 hand at 46, and am having success. You’ll be fine… just give it some time.
Yeah!! I am Short too and Due to Gymnastics, have a Injury in wrist.. 2 handed bowling is really a Favorable for me. Thanks for the Explanation 👏🏼💯
1 hand no thumb bowler here. Having control over consistent release and rev plays a big factor for me.
By far the best two handed video! Thanks!
Today was my first day doing 2 handed bowling. I will try these tips tomorrow. Thanks guys...
It definitely isn’t as easy as it looks.
it’s definitely easier to hook the ball.
I just started 2 handing yesterday and I’m already getting the hang of it
i use to bowl 1hander and was amazing! i ended up breaking my wrist twice in 2 years and just cant swing 1handed anymore. I made the switch to 2hand and absolutely love it and love i can play again
Best game was 208 1 handed, 8 games later, just got my first 300 using both hands, love you guys!
I’m a two-hander,and I’ve tried one-handed before, and it didn’t work out, which is why I’m where I’m at now 😁
I’m 54 bowled two handed awhile 279 high game. Now that I have a coach thinking about going back to two handed because of so much versatility
How do i get two handed bowling videos?
Also a HUGE!!!! Disadvantage is the huge splits you get but strikes will become easier as alot bouncing and i often get messengers
I’m already a 2 finger one hander, floating around 200. Planning on switching to 2 handed with the hope of getting next level.
Definitely going to see if transitioning will up my game. I'm a 176 average atm so I'm not that bad with the conventional type of bowling.
That's it I'm going to start running on the approach!
I'm 72 and really haven't bowled much since the 80's. I'd like to start bowling again and thought that two-handed might be worth a try.
Tell you what this is very great advice! I tried the straighter ball and it truly works
I recently completed chemotherapy, I am blessed and cancer free now but, I have lost a lot of weight and strength. I can’t generate the speed and revs I once did. This tutorial was was helpful and has convinced me to switch from one to two hands. Please tell me where I can get more two handed content.
thankyou for the more detail on how to use two handed bowling ive been trying to learn to play two handed
I’ve bowled one handed for decades and struggle with a decent hook. Today I have 2 handed a shot and was amazed at the difference. Score dropped as I was getting accustomed - definitely less comfortable starting out. But going to keep this up and see how it goes.
How has it gone?
Jimoo is super humble and cool. What an awesome and informative video. U a g Jimoo!
This channel deserves more subs.
Would love to see more from Jimoo on two handed bowling
Regarding fit, I just switched to deeper grips from fingertips like Jimoo (half way between first and second knuckle)...I feel like I am able to match my speed and revs much better this way.
How would one go about getting dipper grips ?
@@brandonbowser5487 have your pro shop change your finger grip size. If you have inserts it’s super easy
Great Tips !!!! Jimoo is fantastic thank you Jimoo is a superstar
I've been bowling since I was 7. I'm 28 now and I started 2 handed bowling last year. Never going back. so much control.
The first one with one handed was on his 4th take
He struck 3 in a row !
i think it’s awesome because i used to watch this channel extremely often, however i took a small break from bowling. i’ve gotten back into it recently and tonight i got compared to jimoo himself. and i was honestly shocked because jimoo is light years better than me lol. love the content guys!
