This is a wonderful breed mix. I adopted a male from his human family when he was age 7 (They were overcrowded). He lived another 10 years. His coat was marked like shepherd but thick as husky with seasonal shedding. His howl was all husky. Buzz was one of the most intelligent and even-tempered dogs I've known. One of his most remarkable traits was his efficiency. He understood what was necessary and never did more than was necessary. He refused to set foot on anything that would not hold his weight. He adored little kids and wouldn't move a muscle while they petted him. He loved watermelon, raw broccoli and tomotoes, and peanut butter. I ordered my mother to stop saving peanut butter jars for him because he was getting a little chubby. Mom refused because she loved to pamper him.
Luna is incredible. She reminds me of my dog that just recently passed and she has me ready to jump back in. The last few months I haven’t even been able to think about replacing my sweet girl but seeing that inquisitive puppy face just trying to get her new big brothers to like her melts my heart.
Please don't wait a long time. A dog lover without a dog is like a day without sunshine. I've been to that place and won't go back there again. Your sweet girl would not want you to be sad. She will be with you again if such things do happen. Every dog is special is its own way. Every one of them needs a home. Too many are unlucky and never find one. Think of them, isolated, locked up in a cage in a noisy kennel and how you have it in your power to make that lonely life a paradise. Their paradise is a simple place, just someone to love and to be loved back.
My dog Rudy did the same thing as Kaiser when we brought home Hunter. Real grumpy, ornery, but they grew on each other so much that when Hunter died, Rudy moped around for over a month. Then when we rescued Lexi a year later, he did the same damn thing.
I'm so glad that you decided to keep her. I can tell that you are a good person by the way you care about your dogs. It's more impressive then any job you have..and that is saying a lot, because you have the most noble jobs possible.

I own a German Shepard Husky mix(but she identifies as just a shepard)...she has the shepard intellect and the hips of a husky...you dont want it the other way around, Hope you dont mind dog hair. Anything with husky in it will shed twice a year...6months in the spring and 6 months in the fall...
We have 5 small dogs. Each one was an unexpected addition and each time the older dogs took quite a while to accept the newcomer. The latest is actually my mother in laws dog, she moved in with us due to health issues and brought along her very young puppy. The older 4 took over a month to accept him but they finally came around. Luna is beautiful. I'm sitting here crestfallen that you had to take her back, I know it wasn't easy.
Great video, Love the dogs. Luna seems a great dog. But if Kaiser and Sniper can't coop with her, you are making the right choice. Otherwise you'll end up with 3 frustrated dogs.
Reminds me of my Rambo your kaiser. My German shepherd is 12 years old still loves his butt scratches. And we just got a shepsky 3 month old my kids named her Luna also. Our older gs didn't do well with her first 2 days he felt he needed to protect the kids (have 2 kids with autism) we had Luna now for 5 days. And my old man Rambo now sleeps with her comes around more Getting more energy with her around. I love it bc we haven't had a pup since Rambo was born. 12 years ago. Hows Luna doing now did she get a good home?
