When I think of Canada’s greatest songs, in my opinion, this should be in the top 5. I had the privilege to see her at a small hall in the U of A in campus Edmonton almost 20 years ago. When she performed this song, I was blown away.
Bought YOU WERE HERE when it came out in 2000. It's still one of my favorite albums. Good to see the CBC is in her corner. She deserves nothing less, because you never hear her music below the 49th parallel.
I was unfamiliar with Weeping Tiles or Sarah when I bought the CD in 2000 at Schoolkids in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Not long after, Sarah played the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro and I gave her a Billie Holiday CD after the concert.
We’ve sang this song to our daughter every night at bedtime since she was an infant. She’s almost 6 now and the tradition continues. We just watched this together and she was mesmerized. Sarah’s music has been the soundtrack to a large portion of my life. Forever grateful
Happy to see her still doing her thing. In college I used to put this song on repeat all night while I studied. Helped to keep me at peace but also knowing there's an intensity coming. Seemed to work at keeping me going and the same is still true.
I have a couple of Sarah's cd's; "You Were Here" and "All of Our Names". Had the great pleasure of seeing Sarah perform live in Edmonton many years ago. She is such an amazing and talented musician, songwriter, and singer. I don't what it is about Canada, but we truly have some of the most talented female artists here in our great country, and this old Grams has been so blessed to see many of them perform through the years. Sarah truly is a Canadian gem....would love to see her perform again.
The most gorgeous summer song ever created. Brings tears to my eyes with its beauty. I could tell the musicians were so happy to be playing it. Thank you, Sarah Harmer!
Thank you for expressing that so perfectly: their sheer joy is beautiful to see. I can count on only one hand the number of songs that affect my emotions as profoundly as this one.
Wow amazing song! we never heard of her before until now. She is amazing and extra points for being Canadian like me and my band. There is something with Canadians and the word "Lodestar"
So...for this song, my gold standard has always been the version on the This Great Black Night EP. But this...this. It brought tears to my eyes. I'm speechless!

Whatever. I discovered this song in Tucson, where I live.

I just love this song so much, wish it had the exposure it deserves.
I have seen her twice in concert. She and her musicians are excellent.
Her music and that voice is timeless. Sarah was and remains one of my generation’s most brilliant and talented songbirds.

This might be the best way I've heard Sarah's music described to me so far
I absolutely love Sarah Harmer. She is a national treasure.
Indeed she is!

Would not have called this as a study track - what an eye-opener. Cheers!
