It was a bit quiet, so I had to turn the volume all the way up, but otherwise is fine. Just a bit ago, I tried to watch a video that had horrendous audio quality--I turned it off and complained. So I don't know what you're apologizing for...and yes, I do listen with headphones exclusively.

In 2001, he spent £10,000 to take the Queen’s private plane to watch a golf tournament in the town of Lytham St Annes in Lancashire.
In 2005, he spent £32,000 using a Royal Air Force plane to fly to St Andrews in Scotland to play golf.
In 2022, a top New York prosecutor (Geoffrey Berman) said that Prince Andrew and his lawyers ceased e-mail contact with him when Berman tried to arrange an interview with him in NY related to the abuse accusations against him. Furthermore, Berman said that he FORMALLY REQUESTED ASSISTANCE FROM SCOTLAND YARD and that Scotland Yard was uncooperative. He said the Buckingham Palace was also unhelpful when he contacted them about taking action against Prince Andrew.
Regarding the third deed, that disgusts beyond words. So you if you’re accused of a crime you can just public state that you’ll be cooperative and email back and forth with a prosecuter UNTIL the prosecuter begins to want to take steps to hold you accountable?! Then you can just ghost the prosecuter and nothing will happen?! You won’t be put in handcuffs and extradited to the US?! And the British authorities won’t do shit?! Disgusting.

He excused the helicopter to play in St. Andrews by saying it was in the public's interest "so that I was available for my public duties." Leaving aside that he believed the public felt his "public duties" were important, what is most revealing is that he thought The People would hear those words and agree he was being responsible, because it simply did not enter his mind that if you've got a job you're on call for, you don't. go. golfing. 😳

I, too, am I survivor, but I was most definitely a victim of my mother's abuse. In our desire to respect ourselves as survivors, it's important not to deny that we were victims of a perpetrator at the time of the abuse, so as not to hand them an argument against the egregiousness of their acts.
The notion of "no victim, no crime" is a deep seated instinct that perpetrators - and bystanders - use to excuse their behaviour to themselves, and society at large. Many perpetrators (especially parents who abuse their children) will actually point to the, now, strong survivor of their abuse and say "but look how strong I made her", and not think of themselves as the abusers they are, and so see no need to change their behaviour, and remain a danger to those around them.
A really good, slightly less emotional, example happened in the Murdaugh murder trial, a few weeks ago. When cross examining a witness that Murdaugh had stolen from, Murdaugh's attorney pointed out that the payout that the victim had been awarded when he sued Murdaugh for the theft, was vastly more than the original amount stolen, so "it worked out better for you, in the end, didn't it?" Even leaving out that the money stolen was life-insurance due to the death of his mother, that's a despicable suggestion, but it's how every abuser who has settled a case for a payout thinks.
