The 765 departs Angola, IN heading for Hillsdale, MI, blowing her 80s-90s tuned whistle. Please excuse the shaking. I was waving to the passengers :).

@@railsandracing It's not just echo I enjoy, it's the whistle tune itself! I've been dreaming of hearing that tune since watching videos of 765 in the 80s and 90s, and the fact they brought it back is amazing! Her signature whistle is what it is for sure!
I am so happy to hear that 765 has her original voice back this tune is my favorite I hope her whistle will continue to sound that way

You cannot "tune" chime whistles. You can adjust the position on the bowl and fix defects. It is NKP 700's whistle.
That's what I meant. I'm using the word "tuning" in a musical sense, because it is an instrument. The 765's whistle has sounded very different over the years, based on its wear, steam pressure, and its positioning in the steam deflector shield. The whistle was also remachined during the 765's overhall back in 2005.
THANK YOU, ive been trying to tell people this but the little kids keep saying that it's "re-tuned". It drives me nuts.
@@railsandracing Part of me being on this one was meeting the engineer or at least two of them because his wife is one of my managers that I worked for at Kroger. And he gave me the specifics on everything for this engine including the whistle plus he told me that the whistle is still the same and it hasn’t been changed. Even though compared to the videos were 765 blasted whistle several times the sound did seem to be different but maybe it’s because the whistle is fully worn in
