Thanks, Jeff, for these videos! I very much enjoy learning more about windows. Can you recommend a good company that sells high-quality skyligjt windows? I have two in my house, both are horribly inefficient regarding sound barrier (for blocking outdoor noise) and thermally.
Thanks for the info! What's the rough price hike from NT to Western? You called it the King Kong, but is it significantly more expensive than the first two options?
Thank you but I am not sure if the person that came out understood my needs, she was nice but not super knowledgeable about the products. I wanted windows that have a bit more sound reduction and the glass options just say tempered glass without any additional specs. I already have bids from Pella, NT etc and those have more detail on either STC ratings or laminated glass and the thickness etc., so these were bids for infinity and Anlin windows and don’t have much detail. She also stated that the windows I had should have already been tempered so the windows offered by you all won’t make a difference. Who could I call to get more details about the specifications I need and really get to understand if you all offer windows that could get me a good STC rating?
Hi Jeff, I’m in the process of changing out my sliders and windows in my house in Scottsdale Arizona. Question - What do you think of the IWC (International Window Corp) windows, Ambassador series? Is this a quality window or doors? I received a quote for these type of windows but I haven’t heard that much about them. Should I try and stick with Western if all possible? I appreciate any advice you can share with me. Thank you!
Would you add Marvin to this list? I'm looking at Marvin coastline because I'm in Florida. But I noticed you removed Marvin from today's window, do you no longer sell or recommend Marvin?
@@HoustonWindowExperts But is it not good enough to make your top aluminum windows of 2024? I want something really high quality, so if it's not as good as those mentioned in this video, then I will consider what you recommend instead. Thanks!
Marvin makes great products. I just don't have availability to it and I don't use it at all, so it's hard for me to comment and put it on my list. I would do some more research locally to determine if it's a good product for your area.
First of all, thanks you for your videos, Jeff. There is so much misinformation out there, it is extremely difficult to find reliable information. If you search for product reviews, you will always find the horror stories on just about anything and it makes finding a quality product very difficult, frustrating, and generally unpleasant. Question for you about aluminum windows. What do you know about the Quaker brand, specifically their CityVu products? Thank you!
Thank you for watching and your question. I used to be a dealer for their products. I began having so many quality issues that I decided to give it a second thought. Unfortunately their leadership team and their customer service lacks a lot to be desired. I could never recommend their products to anyone.
That’s unfortunate. Can you recommend an aluminum product near that price point? I love the Infinity product. Not sure what they cost. I was considering fiberglass until I actually saw a modern aluminum window (and watched your vids). I live in North Louisiana. Wish I was closer to you guys. May actually plan a trip down just to look.
We have replaced Quaker products with a brand called Western. I am not sure if they are in your area, but there are much better product, with wonderful customer service.
I had Don Young aluminum windows installed in my home last year and very happy with them. Quite an upgrade from my old 1970s aluminum windows.
Yes, good stuff!
Happy 2024 to you and the crew, Jeff! Can't wait to see what you teach us this year.
Thank you so much for these videos. We are building a new home and this is such great information

Thank you for watching and your question. I don't know of any skylight brands I can recommend. Sorry...

It's likely double the price, if not more.
Very informative
After getting lots of mixed quotes you all are coming to my home tomorrow
Woohoo! We'd love to see if we can help!

I'll call you on Monday.

Have you heard of Eurocraft? Just got offered that with DP of 120/-120 is that considered good?
I'm not familiar with that product. Sorry

What are your thoughts on plygem aluminum windows?
It's a builder grade product. Keep looking
