Always enjoy your videos! I used this technique just last week loading out trucks on a residential job in Utah. When I have room, I'll make my pile about 2x the length of my tracks so I can move back and forth and push dirt out to the ends of my pile with my bucket without having to hang off the end or jump down in between trucks. Anyway, your videos are great. Keep them coming!

Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment! When you have the room your technique is exactly what I like to do. Continue to bench down while tracking back and forth as you do it.

New to Channel. I like your style and understanding. This is the second video I have seen that you can’t tell the depth, looks like you are flat on the ground when obviously you are not. I know it’s added expense and software but it would really help if you had another camera on the ground so you can see how high and at what angle you are sitting. Thanks for your content and effort. And my vote is ground hog.

Thanks for watching! For some videos I had a video editor on site. For most of my videos it's just me though. Thanks for the tips! Maybe in the future I can do more videos with angles from on the ground.

Been a while since I have commented since getting my skid steer :) been doing alot of digger work lately so this was a handy little method :)
What's the biggest digger U have operated and what's Ur most comfortable size? I like 15 tonne but for hauling out material 20-30 is amazing :)
We work in strange conditions in newzealand and for the first time ever I worked in snow today!
    How's the hudig treating you?

It has been a while! Good to see you again Jaden. The largest hole I have run was a cat 385. The most comfortable size that I like to run is probably that 30 to 45 ton weight class. I spend most of my time these days in a 8 ton and 20 ton machine.
Unfortunately we only had the huddig for a review and that machine had to go back. I miss it everyday 🤣

@@DieselandIron good to hear back from you too mate :)
Oh lovely! 385 would have been fun, were U just punching holes with it or hauling out?
Ohh damn haha, the hudig was so bloody interesting!
Enjoy your week man, talk to you another day soon :)

@@DieselandIron just walk back and forth along the stock pile, that way you don't have to build a bench. It's called production, unless you have time to kill waiting for trucks.

@@jimsmith1946 that's great until you reach the end of your pile Jim. What do you do at that point? Do your skills fall apart then? Why not try to use your knowledge to help the industry instead of being a keyboard warrior?

@@DieselandIron You're benching it down as you, when you get to the end, spin around, walk down to your lower bench and repeat. You must be a visual learner that needs pictures.
