I carry two connectable sabers when I'm in character, so I'd love to make a double holster with a small pocket in the middle to hold an Allen wrench and a spare coupler. As a dark Jedi, I'd typically go with black, but I think gold leather would contrast my red and gray robes nicely, and it would also work for the rare occasion that I wear my white Jedi robes
I'm working on bags for a post apocalyptic larp character I'm making. This video was super helpful and made this feel less intimidating. Thank you so much
I'd like to see you make a leather dice cup. Maybe Wheel of time themed, with a red hand tooled on it and "Time to toss the dice" written in the old tongue. Or something like that. It would make a perfect place to keep your loaded dice! Lol
I've desperately wanted to buy something like this to hold a waterbottle while running. I had conceded to making my own, and then I found this channel.
I make PVC lightsabers all the time (props mostly, not too many with electronics) and I hadn't thought about making a holster. Time to start learning to work with leather! :)
Reminiscent of Han Solo's blaster pistol rig obviously, but to me this looks like something a Grey Jedi would wear. The darker dyed piece might go better with such a themed costume. Just a thought.
This is amazing timing! My family has been working on jedi costumes for future events (post virus) and have been looking into ways to holster our lightsabers. Thank you. :)
I love the transition work. Buuuutttt the lightsaber rotates 180 degrees from the top screen to your catch in the bottom ;) ha. Fantastic work. My boys and I love watching your channel. Keep it up.
My Dad did some amazing leatherwork. Holsters, etc. tooled. Your belt is amazing! Liked the hot water bowl to help form the leather and the hole punches for the sewing. Great job, young Padowan!
Use thinner leather with a few layers of craft foam in the Center, ie. laying with leather on the outside, then glue and stitch . I agree the basic strap cutter and slot punches are essential.
AGAIN AMAZING JOB AND NEVER KNEW YOU KNOW CALEB... LOVE HIS VIDEOS TOO... FUN COLLABERATION , ALSO, THAT HOLSTER COULD BE USE FOR WANDS TOO, I KNOW YOU MADE A HOLSTER FOR THAT BEAUTIFUL WAND.. WILL MAKE SOON... NOTE TO SELF...... AGAIN LOVE ALL WHAT YOU DO... THANK YOU...
I just stumbled across this channel. I love it, it's a really well made interesting channel. I love the old learn with me vibe and the holster looked beautiful at the end of the process.
Think the little leather club mobsters use to knock people out from behind in movies. Make sure they are legal where you are before hand though because I know there have been restrictions in the past.
I'm going to try and use this for a vampire hunter costume so that I can have an extra wood stake because one can never have to many when hunting vampires.
You're ready enough to make Freddy's glove, or assassin's gauntlet, or dragon talon battle glove, or something like that. Main idea is to unite handmade metal parts with leather carcass.
What would be a good way to modify this for a lightsaber with a tsuba style handguard on the hilt? I designed my conduit lightsaber with a handguard and am considering a holster.
if you want you could make some fanticy armor from Prince Armorie's chanell. that way you could learn more about dyeing tecnices and how to use your stamping tools to get diferent afects. Also sorry for the poor spelling.
I love this channel. It gives noobs like myself encouragement to keep learning!! It’s definitely a skill, and takes time to level up. The feeling of growing with the channel is amazing, and y’all have an invite to our LARP event anytime!!!
I used to watch a lot of "pro" leather workers. But after watching them make their tenth wallet/handbag/knife holster, you start spamming the comment section asking them to make quivers and arm bracers and such. Good thing I found this channel so I can leave the "pros" alone.
You know, lightsabers are awesome...but I wonder why no body has ever taken the concept and made a bladed botan, similar to a very heavy foldable night stick that my dad used to use in K-9 unit, but bladed.
Next request for a skill to cover/master: ATD (Attention To Detail)-- You seem to apply it to your leatherwork judging from your prep and forethought.... From a borderline OCD sufferer: if you're gonna do a collab where one person transfers an item to another, at **LEAST** get the orientation of the item consistent... he drops it with the 'active' end pointing to the right; you caught it with it pointing to the left... Not very 'professional', and if done correctly might've contributed a badge to your "skill tree" and lessened the 'unspeakable horror' that we, the viewing audience, had to experience!! And it is a burr under my saddle to hear that you nitpick over little details at Ren-fairs when a vendor has 'slacked' a bit in their rush to produce product for their customers..... (seems a bit contradictory!!) -- So keep on keepin' on, and I look forward to more collabs in the future!! Blessed Be, & Peace!! 🙏✌
Han Solo's blaster holster would be a good "Star Wars" inspiration for one of these

I LOVE this. I am a huge Matrim Cauthon fan and card carrying WOT nerd 😁. This WILL be done.
I've desperately wanted to buy something like this to hold a waterbottle while running. I had conceded to making my own, and then I found this channel.
Oddly enough, growing up, I always saw something like this for my own Jedi. Thank you for doing this
LEATHER LIGHTSABER HOLSTER, I MUST SEE MORE OF HIS WORK!
This is AMAZING! You really knocked it out of the park on this one. Great working with you on this!
Right back at you! This was LOADS of fun to do. You are a great maker and youtuber. We should do it again sometime😁👍
-"what's a covertech wheel?"
That was a joke btw, awesome build, looks great👍

I'm immediately here from Caleb's video. Great video editing from you both. 😊
This is amazing timing! My family has been working on jedi costumes for future events (post virus) and have been looking into ways to holster our lightsabers. Thank you. :)
I am glad I can fulfill such a specific need 😁. Thank you so much for watching!
I love the transition work. Buuuutttt the lightsaber rotates 180 degrees from the top screen to your catch in the bottom ;) ha. Fantastic work. My boys and I love watching your channel. Keep it up.
Dude, it’a crime that you don’t have more subscribers! Funny as hell and really skilled!
I'm super happy to have received a TH-cam notification for one of your videos right now. I live in Italy, we've been in a total lockdown for days now.
Just means you have more time to level up😉. Stay safe and thanks for watching!
@@SkillTree thanks, same to you!
Just finished watching the video, great holster, I really love its looks
Honestly even if i neve make these this projects I still enjoy watching your videos. It really makes my day
I really appreciate you watching! It means a lot that you enjoy what I make.
Great video, I love your enthusiasm. And you're right, once you start doing leather work, you start noticing things like that.
Hello from Transilvanya🧛♂️👋you are working like a real professional.
Thank you very much! I am glad you are enjoying the show!
Makes me think of the Force Lance holsters in Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda. To quote Kevin Sorbo, "Have you seen my Force Lance?" ;-)
My Dad did some amazing leatherwork. Holsters, etc. tooled. Your belt is amazing! Liked the hot water bowl to help form the leather and the hole punches for the sewing. Great job, young Padowan!
Thanks! I love how this came out😁. Thank you so much for watching!

Project-wise,I know this is mostly a fantasy/larp channel, but a Power Sword or Thunder Hammer from Warhammer 40,000 seems right up your alley
The intro with the falling lightsaber I hadn't seen it coming. Total cool effect and creative thinking compared to intro.
THANK YOU...
this looks like one of the props from Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda love it
Nottin like an amazing skill tree video to make the loss of your Grandpa better and now I want you to make a Lightsaber with lights and sound
I am sorry for your loss. I hope this content does bring a little light to your day my friend
@@SkillTree thank you it has
Quick tip. If you leave some steel wool in vinegar for a couple weeks it makes a black dye for leather, it's called vinegaroon
Honestly, you got a like from me for the opening bit alone. Still gonna watch the rest, though.
Very nice dude! And you made a utilitarian belt with it, too!
Excellent
my reaction to the opening:
"THATS NOT HOW THE FORCE WORKS!"
Strap cutter is 💯
Excellent work again! Keep up the great work!
I just stumbled across this channel. I love it, it's a really well made interesting channel. I love the old learn with me vibe and the holster looked beautiful at the end of the process.
i love that intro! very creative
GREAT VIDEO LOVED IT
Awesome job. Really enjoyed this video.
I would love to see a hand axe holster to add to this belt. Either thigh or off the back side
Awesome work! You have a new sub 👍😄
Awesome build man!
Thanks!😁👍. And thank you so much for watching!
This was so much fun to watch!
Great looking holster have been think about doing something like this for a duel bladed saber, as i think just hanging it from a belt would look odd
Oooh. Let me know how that comes out if you get to it!
Great job man, with all the leather work you've been doing with should try to make an thief's sap!
Thanks for watching! What is a thief's sap? Sounds interesting.
Think the little leather club mobsters use to knock people out from behind in movies. Make sure they are legal where you are before hand though because I know there have been restrictions in the past.
Fun tip, you can 3D print different versions of that strap cutter from Thiniverse lol. Most take regular razor blades that you can buy anywhere.
AWSOME!
Thanks!😁
Ok now im gonna make my own holster for my custom saber lol, not out of leather but still as fun
I'm going to try and use this for a vampire hunter costume so that I can have an extra wood stake because one can never have to many when hunting vampires.

Looks like something Han Solo would have used if he became a Jedi.
If you could make Han Solo blaster holster. That would be awesome.
That WOULD be awesome! I will add it to the list 😁👍
Could you work on more videos on forging armor from iron or steal? please and thank you.
Sure can! It is actually coming up FAIRLY soon. I have a few ahead of it
Thanks now im gonna add add a lightsaber for my concealed carry
Excellent craftsmanship! Can you make me a holster for my cal Kestis lightsaber? And how much would you charge?
so nice
you should make a blade and blaster
You made this just in time i just got a ultra saber with no holster!!!!!
"Roberts your fathers brother"
Good re-wording I like it
if you want you could make some fanticy armor from Prince Armorie's chanell. that way you could learn more about dyeing tecnices and how to use your stamping tools to get diferent afects. Also sorry for the poor spelling.
That guy makes some really cool stuff. DieselPunkRO makes some awesome things too, if you haven't checked him out yet.
So are we going to see a light saber build from you
Most definitely! 😁
Lol, nice intro
Have you ever made a wand holster?
I love this channel. It gives noobs like myself encouragement to keep learning!! It’s definitely a skill, and takes time to level up.

We need a leather sword or seax sheath
Wire inlays

Damn skippy son
They are not called 4 hole punches. The tool is called a “diamond chisel”.
0:00 to 0:54 I watch skill tree for the plot
🤣 I still love how that came out.
You should have actually done a backflip with that holster on, we all know you can do one.
Lol. It was like 3 AM and and I would have 100% broken my neck🤣
You know, lightsabers are awesome...but I wonder why no body has ever taken the concept and made a bladed botan, similar to a very heavy foldable night stick that my dad used to use in K-9 unit, but bladed.
Floopynuggets ;)
Didn't I eat your brains?
