Thank you for this review! I just bought a pack of 24 yesterday and did some quick swatches to test them out, and I can say I'm quite happy with these pencils. I didn't watch any review before buying, I just found them in a local art store and trusted the brand. So now I'm even more happy to have the confirm that they're actually good! Can't wait to try them.
I just got home from Michael’s where I bought the 12 pc. Pencils. I went there for prisma but their selection was very low so I decided to get these. I stood there for about 30 minutes trying to decide.🤯 Thank you for the review, I feel better now!
Im looking for colors like Prismacolor. I've tried a lot of brands but they were all less pigmented (expecially the white color). Are these pencil pigmented as the prismacolor ones?
Hi Claire, I'm just a beginner in terms of coloring. As much as possible, I watch color pencil reviews and techniques. I appreciate how you make honest reviews of these pencils. I'm trying to save money to get my hands on a good pencils that I can use for my CBs. Keep uploading these great videos. Sending love all the way from the Philippines. -Joi
I bought these at Michael's after having my eye on them for awhile! Great presentation is what caught my eye. Nice, huh? I combined mine with a comparable Artist's Loft set of pencils which are the same exact barrel size. I guess I was expecting more given it's name brand and was somewhat disappointed at the end of the day. But given your review, I'll give them another go!
Thanks for the review, very well done. I would love to see you sample the watercolor version of the Winsor and Newton Pencils. I think I’m going to give them a go, but I wish they had a larger selection of colors, especially with them being Winsor and Newton. Thanks again, and God Bless!
great vid, not seen many if any student grade ones which are named colours, would of loved therm in school! I found an old tin of STAEDTLER pencils which have a lion on the tin, won them in a drawing competition, was quite impressed by them, but was always into crayola more back in the day!
Claire, wow what a fantastic review! If I ever need a review on something, you are the one I come to! I’m not even in the market for new pencils, I have so many sets already, I’m like damn why did I watch this, well what could another little set hurt lol. I want to try them so bad lol. Okay gonna look away now! Thank you Claire, I think! Lol 💖
Interested with these pens. Have the full set of ProMarker, BrushMarker and the WatercolourMarker. So these pens are now on my wishlist. Thank you for the rewiew.
Claire, this was a very thorough review of these pencils. I’ve seen these pencils at Michael’s, a hobby and craft store in the US, and have wondered about their performance. Could you please provide a link to Puppies, the coloring book you demonstrated the pencils in? I’ve wanted her (Barbara) books but could not find it. Thanks a bunch Claire.
Linda M., thank you for the reference. I've admired Barbara 's work for a while, however, each time I've seen an image from one of her books, it was in a foreign language and I could never make out the name of the book or her full name. 🤓😳
Great review Claire. I had an email from Derwent telling me they have the Limited Edition 24 Metallics in stock..they're over 40 quid for crying out loud! I'm miffed that they are Limited Edition (but will still sell the 12 pack in the new style) because, if they are like the Limited Edition Coloursofts I once bought, they won't be selling them open stock.
What the heck! 😱 This is the first time i have ever heard of them. How is that. I literally search for art materials all the time, and i have never seen them. I must have them at all costs.
I don’t know how could I pass the fact that these have a watercolor version and a not watercolor version!!!! I mean... The watercolor version doesn’t have the little brush. They’re so similar! Really strange... Great review!
I just picked up the 48 pc set at Michaels Canada today. I’ve been colouring with them in Forest Diver’s book The Fantastic World of The Brothers Grimm, and I just love them. I have lots of other sets of coloured pencils, including some higher end names, and these preform beautifully. My only complaint is I wish they had more colours!

Claire, I thank you for this review. Colored pencils are my favorite, so pencil reviews are my thing.
Hugs across the miles!

They look like every other cheap generic CP. Made in China I guess?
