I personally own the BMW version of RS-X cube in red/white/navy blue and I still can't get over to this date how gorgeous that colourway looks on the shoe. The RS-X Efekt seems like a decent evolution from the Cube but I noticed they don't play around too much when it comes to colouring and playing with that chunky RS midsole! In many colourways the midsole is one single colour whereas in the previous RS-X and RS-X^3 they didn't shy away from adding a different touch to those protruding elements. Imho, that gave this legend sneakers a bit more character.
Hey, the bmw cubes are nice using the traditionan boverian m sport badge colours. I do agree the RS -x efekt is more tone down. As I said they might of thought toning it down might appeal to more people. I do like them but I also agree the midsole detail of could of been alot better if they followed the same approach as the cubes.

I've been trying to decide between these and the X ray 2 square, but seeing your review I'm leaning towards the rs effekt, as the sole looks more comfortable and durable. How are they on wet pavements? My Adidas Ozweego are treacherous! It's like walking on ice! But they're sooo comfortable.
I tend not to bring them out on a wet day and luckily haven't been caught out with them. However I have the RS-X3 which has the same soles traction pattern and It was OK in the wet

My last Pumas we're cali's from the old B-Boy days late 80's early 90's, and i've spent all my adult life in Adidas. I picked up the Select version Efekts (the ones in boutiques with a salmon tongue). and i have to say they are the best made trainers that i've ever worn, and imo worth the admission price (rare to find these days!). The comfort , materials and silhouette is bang on....i'm a total convert and will likiely get the olive/birch ones avaible in Europe. What size did you go for ? They look dope on you mate.
I totally agree, Puma model of remodernising classics using quality material at decent price is right up my street. The select versions are 🔥. I got mine in UK 9 which fits just right.

The Puma RS-Z's have an all white sole. I know these are the RS-X, but RS-Z are just as nice imo.
