I usually season the chicken with the Vegeta as well. Then sprinkle a pinch of it on top of the wet batter before I put it in the oven. I love this stuff.
Hi Sara, I am Bosnian and Kvrguša is a meal I grew up with.My mom used to make it all the time including home made bread as well.How did you find about this just blows my mind, and you did very good job on preparing it…. Well done hats off to you mam.
@@SarasBites it's pretty good, more neutral tasting than olive oil but not completely neutral like vegetable oil. Just is more pricey, but if you're only using a few tablespoons at a time for high heat baking /roasting, your health is worth it

I'm American my husband is Bosnian and my mother in law would say the sour cream on top at end is not optional and vegeta does go on everything except in that. Regardless I'm sure its delicious! Definitely making this for dinner tonight it's one I always forget is so easy.
Haha yeah different parts of Bosnia make this differently. Where I’m from we’d never put sour scream on it and it sounds like what she is talking about is kljukusa 😊. I’m not sure it would taste good without the vegeta but in kljukusa we definitely never put vegeta inside. I hope you like it 💜

@@SarasBites It came out just like your original recipe! I used an egg replacer, rice milk, and oat whipping cream instead and it came out tasting beautifully! Tysm for this recipe, I'd wanted to try this but wasn't sure due to my multiple food allergies, but this recipe was so simple I easily found substitutes! Thank you! ❤

Ja sam Kozarcanin , kvrgusa je originalno Kozaracka i ovo je malo drugacije napravljeno od originala ali danas se moze sve prepravljati i dodavati vise ili manje razlicitih sastojaka .....ja sam jednom experimentirao kvrgusu sa sirom i opet dobro

Today's Vegeta is loaded with MSG. While it still looks the same, It is not the same Vegeta your mom used to put in the food. You should use some other ingredients instead of Vegeta. Try with some natural ingredients that are not stuffed with MSG.
@@SarasBites - I do not believe that one :). It is called monosodium glutamate and is part of any Vegeta sold in USA. I have never ever purchased it via Amazon. Maybe I should try it.
@@blento9209 I only get it on Amazon because we don’t have many Bosnians products here (only one store an hour away). But I looked on the ingredients and no msg. Kvrgusa just doesn’t taste the same to me without it 🙈
