except it wasn't even the Uvalde Police who finally ended it, it was the US Border Patrol. Uvalde Police would still probably even now be trying to get up the nerve to do something.
It really is not hers and I hope she understands that. Whoever is in charge of that school should go check each individual door every morning to see if it’s locked from the outside or not
@@TH-camTV-qw5mu nobody should live in a country where that's even the primary concern. It's a school not a jail. In other countries, the priority is education, security is secondary... only in America do we expect teachers to be experts in security.
The fact that parents showed up to help and save their babies, and they were HELD BACK by police who were just sitting there. I’m here after the Covenant shooting in TN, those officers bravely ran towards danger to save those children. There’s no excuse for what happened in Uvalde.
That call from Khloe is what did it for me. Anger, frustration, sadness, guilt and a ton more of emotions. I'm sorry to those children both survivors and victims that ADULTS let alone police did nothing to save you.
Yes exactly while police waited in hallways, you waited in your living room, feeling, "anger, frustration, sadness guilt and a ton more of emotions" from the warmth of your safe recliner chair. Whatever Khloe's call did for you, it also made you responded almost a year after the Robb Elementary Massacre on a youtube forum, which also describes your level of concern and urgency. Children don't go to school to be accidently killed by armed police officers or mentally ill teenagers with assult rifles. They go to school to learn. All schools and doors were designed to be secured and safe before the massacre, not after. This was supposed to be stopped at the congress, school security, safety, regulations and policy level. This country wasn't built by folks sitting in their chairs and wars weren't fought by making a youtube comment. Citizens need to stand up and fight against terror. Not sit down and blame.
Same, 😢it broke my heart hearing her plead with the operator to please hurry and that there were a lot of dead bodies, I doubt that everything that she saw is ever going to be erased from her mind, like imagine the trauma. It’s like one time my mom said sometimes she still remembers seeing a person’s head without a body in her country when she was a young girl, as back then there were so much war, and like the 9/11 as well, I remember when I was 6 or 7, I saw some smoke in the air coming from Manhattan and so I saw some of it flying in the air passing by Brooklyn. So imagine witnesses like Khloie to this day, this kind of event is impossible to forget even if life goes on, it just remains deeply.
I thought when they started to speak slowly whilst mentioning her name that she was dead. I was just going. "No, no, no, please tell me that brave young girl isn't dead." I was relieved when I heard she was alright. I can only imagine how traumatising it must have been to cover herself in blood to try and survive. My heart goes out to the children who died and the teachers. Bless them all and those who survived.
Its so sad to remember how that teacher was made to be a bad person for "leaving the door open" when she absolutely DID NOT do that. She tried to shut that door!!!! she could of just ran in and not even tried, sad they accused her of that
There should not have been a mechanism to set, nor left unfixed by the principal of that school. This real panic was doing the few quick right things you can remember while your adrenaline is making you tremble.
She should sue McCraw he knew he was lying when he tried to deflect blame her way. That McCraw is the slimiest, most deceitful, shameless, political stooge. He should’ve kept his word & resigned!
You do realize they will go to jail if a crime was committed this is like the biggest eff up in history and if their no crime their will be civil lawsuits
@@chinookh4713 Incorrect. This is the 2nd time this has happened by this same police department. Look up the 1984 McDonald's Massacre. That situation also took them exactly 77 minutes to respond.
As a service member, I am beyond disgusted. Do you endanger the kids by engaging the killer in the class? Yes, but he has already escalated the situation to the point where you need to get in and take his attention away from the children. Put your life on the line or get out of the way. These officers were more scared than those parents were. These people are what we call tacticool people. All bark no bite.
@@gordsruby5963 you're one of those chair warriors. None of what you said represents how to handle an active threat. The decision making process has never changed so it goes to show how you're not a service member. What I did learn as a service member was how quickly to asses a situation and identify a threat. Not sure why you think the idea of a school being a safe place is relevant in an active shooter situation but go off. I can tell that with 100% certainty there were casualties and people with GSWs. The shooter wasn't taking hostages and that was quite obvious, but it's clear you weren't trained at all. It's funny how fast you can identify a pogue. Reactive firing and target identification is combat 101. They had enough information to go in and save lives. Funny how people like you are still trying to defend the tacticool donut eating idiots that pretended to be law enforcement that day. Some us "service members" were trained to engage the target and shoot accurately in real life while others like you sit behind a screen playing call of duty. Some people run toward danger while others standby and pick grass. You're def one of the liberal sheep who blames guns and not the person. I'll keep making comments and criticizing this event as well as others because I can and have. There is no law that you cant bozo 🤣 This is an event that some of us are passionate about and it's also a primary example of what not to do in an active shooter event as a LEO. You talk about pride and backing things up but it sounds like you're the one who has ego issues. I agree that you cant trust a lazy American TH-cam stay at home citizen, so stay safe in that chair kiddo, daddy will protect you.
@@gordsruby5963what you mad about? This was an active shooter situation, you must act and take out the active shooter. That’s normal protocol. You don’t wait for an hour.
@GORDS Ruby In active shooter situation cops are supposed to rush the shooter. Those unarmed personnel in the building need someone to protect them from the gunman.
Oh God, those poor kids. They’ve thought the same thing when laying on the ground in pain, wanting their mom and dad. I’m gonna be fucking sick. I hate this world.
People don't see or pay attention much to those PTSD tremors. This is why we use to call it "shell shock" for a reason. It happened a lot in WWI. If you are reading this Amy, I still pray for you all everyday.
In one year that poor woman's hair turned grey and she got permanent Neurological damage from PTSD and probably aged 20 years. I'd be shocked if she lives 5 more years. The body and brain can only take so much poor lady!
Incidents like this happening all too often is part of why I choose to work in an office rather than teach. I also make more money than I would teaching. It's a sorry state of affairs in this country.
That's the same person who they initially blamed for leaving the door propped open but she clearly did everything she could and even went back to make sure the door was completely closed. She risked her own life by going back to remove the rock. I feel so bad for her.
@@JitzyJT What do you mean? There was no way for the door to lock from the inside unlike your home doors, and the shooter was already coming closer, and unfortunately the door couldn’t be locked automatically. Even if it could, it’s very obvious that the shooter would have broken the glass to get inside, I mean he jumped over a fence not to mention, he was definitely out for blood. So why blame that lady.
This whole thing is absolutely heart wrenching. What especially got to me was the 911 call with the girl counting the survivors and saying she’s surrounded by bodies and begging for help because her teacher was about to die and the fact that she smeared blood on her, the teacher who lost all of his students, and the teacher who was initially blamed for the shooter getting in even though she desperately tried to protect people, which especially got to me because she looked so much like one of my teachers and reminds me of her. I may live all the way in Washington state and knew nobody related to this massacre but I sure as hell will NEVER forget this tragedy. Because of Uvalde, when I become an engineer I want to create technology that will somehow protect people in situations of gun violence, especially in schools. I don’t know how I’ll do it, I just know I won’t let anything stop me from getting there, because if we can’t fully trust the police to protect innocent souls from a shooter nor the government to start passing stricter gun laws on a federal level, then one of the last potential barriers we have is technological advancement and it’s a race against time
I admire you so much for your desire & willpower to protect people, particularly children, from gun violence. You're right. The more these tragedies continue to happen, the more we realize we're practically on our own. I wish you all the best in your endeavors. Please don't ever give up on your goals. You could help change the country, maybe even the world.
Engineers rule - y’all are like wizards who transform math & science into solutions. As an old c.s. grad Gen-Xer, I think we need to understand that effective problem-solving often necessitates expertise and ingenuity from people coming from very different angles & vantage points. STEM specialists also really have to embrace humanism to truly collaborate with others in the endeavor of solving inherently human-scaled social problems.
The government needs to use that money to better protect and secure schools. That's money I would gladly spend my tax on! I have children and this breaks my heart
Not all of them are to blame - the leaders are the ones to blame & anyone who did not pass on crucial information or act on the information given in the first few minutes. People in law enforcement HAVE to follow orders. They can't just go running into situations and doing what they want or it could go even more pear shaped than this & get more kids killed. They also can't let parents and civilians run into a deadly situation. Command and control of emergency situations like these is extremely clear (it's the same in the ambulance where I work) - the most senior police officer on scene is the scene controller until a manager of suitable rank (ie police chief, equivalent or higher) arrives on scene, then THEY are to set up a forward command & liaise with other services as they arrive. The ambulance should have done the same - the most senior clinician should set up a command post until the scene is safe &/or a manager arrives and then should triage patients according to basic triage categories (walking wounded, significant injury but stable, unstable and require urgent intervention/transport, deceased) & relay that information to the senior officer who takes over as the ambulance commander & organises transport of the patients to triage zones for treatment and then transport to hospitals. 377 police officers to a single shooter is ridiculous btw! If the first officers on scene had continued into the scene and treated him like an active shooter (which does unfortunately mean they would have had to continue under fire since they were getting shot at), doing their best to take him down as fast as possible, then the whole thing could hopefully have been over in minutes. The police chief is the most at fault (second to the shooter) by treating it like a negotiation. He misread and mishandled the situation. And the other senior officer that did not pass on the information that there was a child calling from inside the building. I can guarantee that most of those officers were desperate to go inside but couldn't so they do not deserve the vilification that the ones truly responsible deserve. Even then... the sad fact of life is that people are human & make mistakes - even senior officers. Plenty of senior officers who are trained to know better have made more deadly errors in numerous wars and emergencies over the centuries. The people that f'd up should have been honest about their errors immediately after the event instead of trying to lie about it. And the politicians that tried to make it seem like it was a heroic success should also resign for lying their a**es off. But tbh the people who deserve the most anger and hate are the FITH people who think it's ok to take a gun into a school because they're unhappy with their own life & the fluffing politicians who refuse to do anything about sensible gun laws so they don't lose votes. Not the majority of cops who DO risk their lives running towards the gunfire yet are constrained by command & control structures.
@Allison James oh yeah and kudos to the MOTHER who gave zero bleeps to save her children. YES she exists y'all eventhough the cowards said she didn't. Must sting a bit that MOM was able to do what so many fumbling idiots couldn't cuz they were waiting for "orders."🤦🏽♀️
McGraw & DPS did that. They were trying every tactic to stir people from looking at their failed response. They're still at it with the cover up I see.
I am a retired security officer, and we were always taught to the best of your ability, you protect the people you are assigned to assist., Sometimes even if you have to put yourself in harm's Way first. I was at home, listening on a police scanner app on my phone to what was happening at uvalde. In my personal and professional opinion, this was a complete screw up on so many levels I can see why public confidence in Texas in law enforcement absolutely hit rock bottom, after this.
I didn't know security guards were taught to assist the people they were assigned to protect. Sounds like some real important top secret security recon stuff, just out of curiosity who guarded the building, while you were assigned to protect people. Thank you for your service.
15:57 “My dad taught me when I was a little girl.” This broke me because she was STILL a little girl, but an incredibly brave, selfless and intelligent girl. So sad that she showed more courage than the people who were supposed to be there to save and protect her, her teachers and her classmates.
dad of the year, or dad of the generation, right there is the dad who taught his daugther what to do in an active shooter situation. PARENTS, you have a first-hand account of a child that knew what to do. teach your kids the same.
Those school doors were outdated, a problem in most public schools in America. There was also a kid who was shot after a responding officer said “yell if you need help” with the shooter still active. Also all the stopping of parents and an officer trying to go in. And the female officer on camera saying if her kid was in there she wouldn’t be outside, “believe that” while staying outside. This piece was very watered down.
Another problem is all the outdated schools that still have adjoining classrooms like this. Same thing happened in Santa Fe, TX, Uvalde, and Sandy Hook. If one teacher doesn't manage to get locked down in time, instead of having one room full of dead kids you get two...we need to be updating to single entry classrooms.
This whole thing is unspeakably evil. I can’t stop thinking about how traumatic it must have been for those kids waiting for help. They were in there for an hour!! Just imagine having to lay there in shock, full of panic, absolute fear, watching your friends and teachers being murdered and wondering if you’re next. I honestly think I would have died of shock, I would just have completely shut down. So much trauma for these innocent kids to bare for the rest of their lives. They were let down by so many people.
What that little girl did, I can’t imagine, what a beautifully raised human. I hope all the best for her and her family and all those affected. I hope she becomes a nurse or first responder, doctor as she will be amazing.
Every time i see this story I start seething with pure anger and immense sadness about the gross incompetence of all law enforcement that faithful day. I truly believe those parents could’ve did a better job at taking that monster down than those sorry a$$ cops. I really hurt for the families of the victims because I have no idea how my life would be saturated in deep sorrow and pain if i lost my grand kids at school in that way considering their parents send them to school every day. This year alone 67 mass shootings have happened in the US and it’s only mid Feb. Nothing will change until gun proponent politicians go through something like this with their own families in droves .
Yes... parents could have done a better job, but how many children in that classroom actually survived? How many parents in that classroom were able to take their child home with them? You all sat at home waiting for cops to do your job. You counted on teachers to secure doors, lawmakers to fix laws and cops to save children. But what was your job as a stay at home citizen? besides being pure angry and sad almost a year after the massacre. I mean assuming children don't go to school to be accidently gunned down by armed police officers of course. Assuming schools were designed to be safe before the massacre and not after. You litterally waited for a shootout at a school, for crying out loud, for Pete's sakes, and now your angry and sad! Lol imagine how the children felt! Imagine if they knew your plan of action was citizens waiting for cops. Again you waited for cops to save kids, how'd that work out for you. I have a solution for your problem don't look at a story if you're not willing to stand up and do something about it. Seething with pure anger and sadness months after a massacre is NOT your due diligence.

I live in Round Rock and that same very day and hour, I was at my daughters school, watching her recevive her 3rd grade awards at the school awards ceremony. I can’t even begin to tell you the devastation I felt that day, the sadness and fear of sending my kids to school for the rest of the week. I have cried at every single video. I grieve for every single one of those beautiful lives. My heart breaks for the parents. 😢😢
I remember watching this live when it happened, and being horrified to think that something like this could happen. When I began to hear how many had truly died, and that the cops were so disorganized and unable to perform their duties made it so much worse. I pray that all the people who died on that day will rest in piece, and that the survivors and community can continue to carry on for their sakes, and remember those they lost while they heal.
77 minutes is absolutely insane ☹️ they stood in the hallway while those angels were begging for help and in fear but they ran from gunfire and stood there even with all the equipment. been a year and nothing has been done 💔 heartbreaking for everyone in that community and those 21 victims and their family 😢
The weight loss on these people is strictly evidence of their pain, heartbreak, and devastation. My heart, and soul are with each and every one of you still living, and dealing and fighting. My ♥
I have 20 years of service in the United States Marine Corps and listening to that 911 call just broke me down to pieces and I questioned myself for the first time "why did I served???" and I started thinking about my kids and all of the other kids in this country that this is now the new normal but why??? It shouldn't be the norm and is time to do something about it...
This is my home town. Amery Jo Garza was my 5th cousin. Joe, the husband of Irma ( one of the teachers who died) was my friend. So sad all those beautiful souls who died that day.
Hearing such a young girl on the phone, crying and scared after having just witnessed a massacre, and then talking about how her daddy taught her what to do in this kind of situation since she was little, made me stop what I was doing and cry. The fact that she had to go through that and had to be taught what to do if her classmates are being massacred is horrifying. I hope Khloe finds peace and I hope something is done about this issue soon because it is LONG overdue. I can't believe people are just letting this happen. Khloe and her classmates deserved better. They deserved a full life. They didn't deserve to be murdered in their classroom.
How sad. This angers me. No one was held liable for the death of those 19 kids and 2 teachers. This is such an injustice. The cops were such cowards who allowed this tragedy to happen when it could’ve been stopped early on. My deepest condolences go to all the families who had to endure this tragic loss. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. The kids and teachers are now in Gods classroom in Heaven 🙏❤️😢😢
Tomorrow is a year since those 21 souls were horrifically taken from this earth…I live an hour from Uvalde and every single time I pass through that town I cry thinking of how they were failed. May those beautiful souls rest in peace and may their loved ones find comfort.
Thank you to the ones that finally went in. 🙏 As a parent of 5 sons I can not imagine the pain for all involved. The little girl on the phone is so brave and so smart in communicating the information in that situation. Your little ones will never be forgotten.
I have a lot to say. My dad (RIP) was a police officer. When my mom was pregnant with me they had a neighborhood shooting. My dad was off duty and he ran into the line of fire to protect people. He got shot but lived. OFF DUTY!
He quit soon after because he wanted to see me born but look how he risked his life and risked the fact of seeing his first born son. HERO. I’m sorry but these officers cowered. You hear children screaming YOU RUN TO HELP!!! I would do it and I’m a damn restaurant worker.
So many excuses coming from the police/swat. This is absolutely heartbreaking. So many lives could have been saved. Rest in peace sweet kids, you deserve better from the adults/police.
It’s shocking to me how one of the mothers received a text saying “there’s a shooter at Robb” and she immediately understood what that meant. It’s such a cultural shock to me.
I’m not a police officer, and I’m also not a parent but I am a security officer, and I would lay down my life for any person that was an immediate danger. Especially a child I would run into a burning building to save somebody else’s life because that’s just who I am. I might not get along with people. I might argue with people here on the Internet but when your life is on the line and you need help and I can provide it, I can’t just stand by it will not do anything. That’s not who I am and it’s not how my parents raised me I was told from a young age when people are in need you go and you help
@MR CM - I am so glad to read that you would those things to save others. I'm a 60-year-old woman, whose father was a cop and mother a nurse. My 3 siblings and I listened to our parents as they taught us what to in emergencies, and they led by example, helping those in distress when off the clock, and retired. I've called 911 a number of times, stepped into fights and broken them up (I'm 5'7") - once when I had a *leg cast on,* using *my cane* to pry the 2 apart. Only once was I injured by a guy throwing a punch at the victim, when he ducked, and I got slugged in the face (black eye). More than once, I've intervened when a man was verbally abusing his girlfriend in public, and each time, the guy stopped. My dad taught us kids (3 girls, 1 boy) some Judo, how to break a choke-hold, an attack from behind, and how to flip him (6', 200 lbs) when I was 14. My sibs and I practiced on each other in the yard or rec room. I took a handful of self-defense classes over the years since my thirties: *Krav Maga* (used by Isreali military), *Brazilian Ju Jitsu* and *Wen-do* (created for women, using leverage), but by no means am I an expert in any of them. ___________ 💪 💪 💪 ____________ I even demonstrated to a girlfriend (30 yrs ago), *_through a crack in the door,_* how to break her large, violent partner's grip on her arm, as I negotiated with him - and it worked! He settled down and both she and I convinced him to leave. She was terrified of him, but a few weeks later, she finally left him, with their 3-yr-old, and disappeared, after 4 yrs of being held prisoner, psychologically, by his threats and abuse. She called me her "guardian angel," though I'm atheist. ----------------🔥🔥🔥 ----------------- I've been in *3 house fires* (none my fault) - one in which I *_was trapped_* and got smoke inhalation. Like you, _I _*_would_*_ run into a burning building to save someone,_ just as my new boyfriend once did for me. I had PTSD for a year after that, and had panic attacks whenever I smelled something burning. __________ 🚑 🏥 🚔 ___________ I'm First Aid certified, and used it last year, when I helped a 70-yr-old man (a tourist) who'd fallen & sustained a concussion - and then his wife *fainted* from the heat - after I'd given him and her ice packs that I had with me (a humid, 90F summer day in the city) - until the ambulance arrived. They were confused but grateful. Also last summer, one night I found a man on the ground crying out for help. He'd fallen (bad leg), so I did the same thing, enlisting a passer-by to call 911, and help get him up and onto a bench until the ambulance arrived. They took him to hospital. A few years ago, I was on the scene when a 75-yr-old man *fell down the escalator* _with his _*_walker_* at Walmart. I asked a few young staff who were standing there, helpless, and a manager, if anyone knew first aid - no one did - so I *took charge,* assessing him, getting staff to call 911 and get something for his head. Paramedics thanked me when they took over. __________ 💖 👪 💝 ___________ Each time, I thought of my late parents and the _valuable lessons_ they taught and role-modelled - and how to *_step in*,_** and not ignore or walk away. More people need to **_take the initiative,_** *educate* and train themselves, *maintain situational awareness* (for personal safety) and *have compassion* for others. I'm so angry at the ineptitude, cowardice and lack of action, and later, accountability, of the 376 police officers and SWAT team, and those in command who failed those students and faculty. My father had marksmanshop trophies from police, yet he never fired his weapon in 32 years, in the largest city in Canada. He probably would've run in to the classroom to save those kids - f*ck the chain of command!
Thank you sir for your bravery!!! We need strong men like you in the country !!!! And believe me when I say - GOD sees and knows !! This isn’t nothing. It’s remarkable and you will be rewarded in heaven. Please keep spreading what you believe and most importantly will DO !!! 🙏💯❤️👍
Over 300 officers couldn’t take out 1 man in over 70 minutes…every one of them should hold this guilt for the rest of their life, same on everyone involved
Because police themselves don't want to confront an AR 15. No new sales of AR 15. Enough. Repeal PLCAA and restore liability to gun manufacturers for their extremely dangerous products. Then you will see them turn into responsible corporate citizens, using gun safety protocols to demonstrate due diligence in court proceedings. Their own lawyers and insurance carriers will insist on mental health assessment and screening for each purchase, gun safes, permits, registration, training, age limits, etc. They will also end their irresponsible marketing strategies, such as advertising the AR 15 as "your man card." Enough.
Like… “sir can you put your firearm down please?” bro. He’s killing KIDS. I think caring about his well-being was thrown out the window a long time ago.
It has been 9 months since this terrible tragedy happened and it seems like NOTHING has been done to alleviate this issue as more mass shootings have happened since then. It SHOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN. 77 minutes for law enforcement to neutralize this man!
@Kim Leller - I heard in the news this week thwt there have been *_67 mass shootings_* in the US *this year!* That's horrendous! Stricter gun control, gun amnesty, (fat chance, though, with all the NRA and 2A "gun nuts"), thorough *background* and *mental health checks,* and a national provision of *_free mental health care_* are necessary, for there to be *notable change* in those grim stats - and *_human behaviour._* ❌ 🔫 🚫 🔫 ❌
I cried so hard after listening to Kholie's call she did everything right. I would've FIRED THE WHOLE DAMN POLICE FORCE!! RIP TO ALL THE BABIES THAT lost their lives that day & prayers for the families.
I remember watching this on tv and there was a border patrol EMT saying they were taking too long. He was prevented from going in by a police officer. If you aren't willing to put yourself on the line with all of your tactical gear and training then get out of the way.
I’ve never cried full on over this until watching this. I’m a grown man with prior law enforcement experience and it is tearing my heart out watching this. Omg every ounce of my being is screaming inside. Get your ass in that room! Fight ! Number one it’s mandated to locate isolate And neutralize this man!!
I work at an after school program, and if I can recall the next day coming in for work after this happened, there were quite a few kids who were scared and asking me what would happen if the same thing occurred here at our school. I just told them that if it happened, then I'd do everything I could to protect them. It's devastating that this is the world we still live in, and that kids have to even entertain these what if's in the first place.
The reading of all of their names.. and then her father saying 'and my baby girl, Jackie'.. Never forget these names, always push for change. None of these people should have died that day. So many mixed emotions from the day this happened, continuing to now. When will people listen and do what they're supposed to do.. so many things could have been done differently and could have saved more.. I'm so sorry, they failed you..
As a mother, hearing the voice of the beautiful little girl call for help, broke my soul to the core. It completely shattered my spirit. No child should ever be in any kind of danger.
Smh. This whole thing has haunted me since the day this happened and I live in Illinois. I know exactly how I'd feel if my son was in that school and nobody was doing a damn thing. I would be a mental mess and you'd have to restrain me. Not a mf in this world gonna tell me I can't protect my baby. That little girl had more guts and bravery than any of those cops put together. They weren't prepared and were lost. I'm so disgusted. My heart goes out to all affected by this horrendous situation.
I am in tears watching these parents relive the day their children were murdered. It is apparent that there was a total break down in communication on top of the fact that their was not definitive plan on how to address an active shooter. The fear these children and teachers felt, is beyond me.
The woman who tried to close the door did all she could. It was a total lie when they reported it was a teacher who left the door open. I pray she and all those involved find peace.
Yes... we can tell exactly how broken hearted you are by making a comment on a youtube video almost a year after the Robb Elementary Massacre. Imag8ne if you could have been one of the citizens to make a difference.
@@gordsruby5963 just because someone commented on a new video on this tragedy, does not mean they haven’t commented or done things back in the beginning on other videos. Your assumptions and attitude toward others are making you ignorant.
My heart hurts for the parents that lost their children that day. Mental Health is important and if you see anything online or in person that seems like they need help take them seriously. It could be that person cry for help. You could be that person's light. I pray they are healing well.
I generally support police officers but this is disgusting. This is literally your job. Back when I was in the marines if I was to do something like this I would be held accountable along with EVERYONE else involved. Take responsibility and the punishment. Even as a crane operator now if anything happens like damage, injury or even death you can bet I’ll be held responsible.
It’s eerie how it also took 77 minutes for cops to do something at the McDonald’s massacre in the 80’s at San Isidro. They didn’t even have cell phones to call for help. ☹️
The fact the cops arrested and harassed the parents that tried to get pass them to save children without any weapon or vest shows which side they are on!
Wasn't their own kids. Too concerned about one of them getting killed. The person in charge energy was completely off for the situation at hand. He moved and acted like He just ate a huge lunch. His energy wasn't right at all for the situation at hand.
Same I remember hearing about it and at rhe time when it had happened I was in 7th grade and I remember going to my mom after hearing about and telling her that I was scared to go to school😔
These citizens are supposed stop the gunmen before he gets to the school. That's how voting works, that's how writing your local congressman works. He would have shot right through the locked door. Teacher is most definitely not the one to blame for this situation

@@DrunkenGuitarGuy cops and border agents
@@DrunkenGuitarGuy by the way. I'm a marksman and wholeheartedly AGREE about the lack of common sense gun laws. It's insane.

Just like the 2nd amendment.🤴
My school actually got all of the doors updated after this because they hadn’t been replaced since the school was built.

That’s not who I am and it’s not how my parents raised me I was told from a young age when people are in need you go and you help
👏👏👏
___________ 💪 💪 💪 ____________
I even demonstrated to a girlfriend (30 yrs ago), *_through a crack in the door,_* how to break her large, violent partner's grip on her arm, as I negotiated with him - and it worked!
----------------🔥🔥🔥 -----------------
I've been in *3 house fires* (none my fault) - one in which I *_was trapped_* and got smoke inhalation. Like you, _I _*_would_*_ run into a burning building to save someone,_ just as my new boyfriend once did for me. I had PTSD for a year after that, and had panic attacks whenever I smelled something burning.
__________ 🚑 🏥 🚔 ___________
I'm First Aid certified, and used it last year, when I helped a 70-yr-old man (a tourist) who'd fallen & sustained a concussion - and then his wife *fainted* from the heat - after I'd given him and her ice packs that I had with me (a humid, 90F summer day in the city) - until the ambulance arrived.
__________ 💖 👪 💝 ___________
Each time, I thought of my late parents and the _valuable lessons_ they taught and role-modelled - and how to *_step in*,_** and not ignore or walk away.

@@wholeshebang1you took this tragedy and used it to brag about yourself. On and on
🤢
This documentary isn’t even as long as the time they spent outside that classroom
Over 300 officers couldn’t take out 1 man in over 70 minutes…every one of them should hold this guilt for the rest of their life, same on everyone involved
Watching this I have bad anxiety, tears,
and dread in my heart. I can’t imagine how the kids, teachers, staff, and family felt.
This is so sad. They tried harder to protect the police than they did to protect the children.
Even if the classroom door was locked, why would they waste time looking for keys instead of breaking the handle or even shooting the thing off?
And why waste time asking other officers for a key? Go ask the office or the janitor!!
Yeah the major stupidity
Imagine how much worse things could have been if Kholie hadn’t had been as level headed as she was. Thank goodness and much respect to her.
Stricter gun control, gun amnesty, (fat chance, though, with all the NRA and 2A "gun nuts"), thorough *background* and *mental health checks,* and a national provision of *_free mental health care_* are necessary, for there to be *notable change* in those grim stats - and *_human behaviour._*

I lost two of my cousins I still can’t believe this tragedy happened
So sorry for your losses 😢🙏💔
Praying 🙏🏽❤ So sorry for your loss. Deepest Condolences.
I’m sorry for your loss
That man’s whole class died. How horrible.
the cop really said “time is in our side”???? this is insanely cowardly
That was the absolute worst.
Uvalde cops shouldn’t be praised or recognized as heroes, as you see here, THEY FAILED THESE CHILDREN.
This was the most hardest video to watch. RIP to all the victims of this horrible tragedy.
It’s really hard for me to comprehend that 1 Shooter can control 376 Police Men.
The police were just a few steps away to save the children but they were so scared to go inside. The chief was a failure.
I feel ya
I am in tears watching these parents relive the day their children were murdered. It is apparent that there was a total break down in communication on top of the fact that their was not definitive plan on how to address an active shooter. The fear these children and teachers felt, is beyond me.
None of these cowards in top will take responsibility. They even prevented one of their own going in to save his own wife
Yeah well nobody understands a coward more than another coward. So my only question is why we're you afraid to make a comment 8 months ago?
The woman who tried to close the door did all she could. It was a total lie when they reported it was a teacher who left the door open. I pray she and all those involved find peace.
even if she did lock the door, it was found that the other exterior doors were unlocked!! nothing she really could have done
Them cops failed tht day in every way possible no excuses for how they handled the situation. Bein a father this breaks my heart 💔
Yes... we can tell exactly how broken hearted you are by making a comment on a youtube video almost a year after the Robb Elementary Massacre. Imag8ne if you could have been one of the citizens to make a difference.

My heart hurts for the parents that lost their children that day. Mental Health is important and if you see anything online or in person that seems like they need help take them seriously. It could be that person cry for help. You could be that person's light. I pray they are healing well.
That school police chief chose to save his own life.
They all did
“He failed to recognize the attack as an Active Shooter in those pivotal moments…” The moments right after actively hearing shots fired? 🤯
Thank you for not defending them unlike "GORDY Ruby" in the comments
The first child who called 911 is hard to listened to,it breaks my heart. How I wish she survived
Will NEVER forget their names.... they are seared into mind forever
That poor little girl, she saved more lives then the police, i can't even imagine what that community is going through, truly disturbing
I don’t know how any of the officers that stood there and did nothing can live with their actions.
Wasn't their own kids. Too concerned about one of them getting killed.
The person in charge energy was completely off for the situation at hand. He moved and acted like He just ate a huge lunch. His energy wasn't right at all for the situation at hand.
30 cops in a hallway and they can’t break in the room and kill the mf ???”
I remember when I saw this on the news last year, I still cry thinking of all those children and the teacher that were murdered, RIP :(
Same
Same I remember hearing about it and at rhe time when it had happened I was in 7th grade and I remember going to my mom after hearing about and telling her that I was scared to go to school😔
I can never forgive these officers who stood there for 77 minutes doing nothing while lives were lost.
These kids weren't just murdered by this monster. They were fed to them by craven, odious and utterly self-serving, Adults.
These police will always be cowards and despicable human beings for not rescuing those kids.
These citizens are supposed stop the gunmen before he gets to the school. That's how voting works, that's how writing your local congressman works. Schools are supposed to be safe before the gunman enters the classroom not after. You have your priorities mixed up. Nobody needs a recliner chair citizen, pointing fingers and placing blames. Children need your support, not your keyboard.
@@gordsruby5963 yes well Texas is deep red and look how that has worked out for them
3:20 that poor man’s eyes are near swollen shut from constant crying. That just breaks my soul into 1000 pieces
I've never seen a bigger bunch of cowards. They are paid to run toward the danger, but they were running away and hiding..for officer safety.
They treated this as a hostage situation and not an active shooter situation. RIP
Nope never forgotten… ALWAYS Remembered! My heart breaks at how it all went down, my heart goes out to the Victims & their families… Khloie, the teacher & the lady staff worker are so brave! And idk how one can forget.. this was so traumatic all the way around😢
❤️Love from Az
What were we taking about again? Sorry I forgot.
As a law enforcement officer and former school resource officer, this response was unacceptable. You hear shots, you go in. Your life is secondary at that time. You risk all to eliminate the threat.
As a BP Agent in a different sector I couldn’t agree more with you
God bless the people of Uvalde. I pray you can get the strength to wake up each day and keep reminding us all of these precious lives lost at the hands of the cowards we pay to protect us.
And in stark contrast we saw those fearless, incredibly quick-thinking Nashville cops taking out that killer within minutes. Nashville cops showed what utter cowards these clowns really are. A disgrace to humanity.
This was so damn sad. Shame on those "officers"
Yes and shame on youtube viewers who waited 8 months to make a youtube comment and put the blame on police officers.

These poor children and teachers inside! 😭 I remember when this happened and they were initially blaming this teacher for leaving the door open and even then I knew as a teacher myself, this woman did NOT leave the door open. I just knew in my heart she didn’t do that. This was before it was proven as a fact. It was just something you can’t explain other than you would only understand if you are a teacher. Then as the investigation progressed we learned who the real people to blame were besides the gun man. It was those COWARDS that stood outside for over an hour while children were being murdered!
